Antique Victorian Cherub Perfume Holder with Antique Silver Lidded Bottle
FABULOUS ANTIQUE PERFUME BOTTLE! Shabby Chic in nature. The holder is made out of some type of metal which has been painted white. Please see the missing paint chips on pictures. This can easily be repainted if you wish to. But due to the fact that it is an antique, may affect the overall value. The flower is a very light pink which really does not show up in the picture. The bottle is made out of heavy glass. The lid appears to be silver overlaid on metal lid. The lid does a couple dents which can be seen from the picture. There is a small chip on the top of the bottle which can't be seen once the silver lid is on top. As well as two very small chigger bites. Amtique Pressed Glass Cherub Perfume Bottle NO Stopper circa 1890's-1900's
Description A beautiful vanity or dressing table was once the epitome of style for the fashionable lady's home. Here is an antique pressed glass perfume bottle featuring a chubby cherub wrapped around a cornucopia. The bottle is narrow at the base and blossoms out at the top. The top of the rim is scalloped. The cherub is seen peeking around the side of the cornucopia. There is a flower that the cherub is standing. It is very Victorian in it's presentation so I would place it in the 1890-1900's for a manufacturing period. The bottle stands 5 1/2" in height. There are no chips or cracks. Description: A fine antique 19th century French silver and enamel scent or perfume bottle flask. Featuring a charming scene. Depicting a child or putti holding flowers, resting near an old stone wall, the background is a serene mountain landscape with a blue sky above. To the top of the lid is a cluster of colorful flowers on a blue sky ground, the base decorated in green foliage. The detail to this scent bottle is astounding, the portrait done in minute brushstrokes of vibrant coloration, a testament to the skilled hand of the enamelist. Such exquisite details and colors are quite difficult to achieve in the art of kiln fire enameling. The lid opens to a gilt vermeil interior, fitted with a small glass stopper. Antique Porcelain Perfume Scent Bottle marked HOBE` with figural Cherub and Realistic Pansies and Wild Roses. Very Unique large Bulbous body measures 8 1/2" tall and 5" across the wisest part of the bottle. Guesstimated to be from the very early 1900's to very early 1940's. The Cherub and the three footed bottle are in excellent condition. Unfortunately the flowers are missing many pieces. This is from a resent estate consignment and being sold as found. This gorgeous perfume bottle stands 10" tall. Is 4" wide and base measures 3 1/4" across. It is made is a lovely gold-brass tone ormolu filigree. The glass is beveled, and pink or light amethyst in color. There is a cherub in between the glass, coming out of a blossom. Everything about this bottle is perfect. Well kept and lovely, except that the dauber is gone. I can see the end of it still in ornate bottle top. That is the only condition to mention- the glass vial inside it perfect. The dealer I purchased this from bought it from the original owners estate. The bottles were made by Schafer& Vater. They are from the Victorian era 1900 to 1910s. Their is an impressed number on the bottom but I cannot make it out. my guess it it is 2057. The perfume bottles are unusual in that it has what is believed to be the original scent remains inside{ No liquid. Just the remains of perfume that has evaporated and left behind a residue} I know some people collect the actual scents, so have not washed these. One has more than the other. It is an unusual fragrance, somewhat like wildflowers with a slightly sweet, honey undertone. It is a lovely, natural scent compared to today's ... moreperfumes. The bottles are in very good condition. I see no chips, cracks or repairs to the Jasperware. Both have the original tops and daubers. One of the daubers is cracked and the piece is missing, see photos. The dauber is glass with a color glass cane inside. The corks shows wear. They should be replaced if you are going to use these. Naturally, I did not wash the bottles as some people collect the scent itself, so you will be receiving this as they are pictured. Both need a nice tidying up. Measurements are 6 inches tall. Miniature Perfume Bottle Blown Amethyst Glass Florentine Cameo Cherub Decoration
This is a lovely antique miniature perfume bottle. The small bottle is made of mouth blown amethyst glass. The florentine cameo decoration is a very thin applied layer of pure white encircled with raised gold scrolls. On top of the white enameling are two chubby. Winged cherubs embracing as they float among the soft pale blue clouds. On the reverse side are raised gold scrolls. The flip cap of the bottle is brass with an attached beaded chain and ring which could be placed on the finger or suspended from a chatelaine. The glass dauber is intact but the tip of the dauber is missing. The bottle is in excellent condition and there is no damage to the brass. This little gem is only 2 1/4" in overall height and 1 3/8" wide. This is by far the prettiest miniature bottle I have found. Please contact me if you have a question about the ... morebottle.
