All pieces are very old and authentic and they are been kept in my family for many years with love and care. This auction is for a lovely ALVIN sterling silver overlay& Crystal perfume bottle. The Alvin Manufacturing Company was founded in 1886 by William H. Jamouneau in Irvington. New Jersey. The company moved to Sag Harbor, Long Island in 1895 and later changed its name to the Alvin Silver Co. in 1919. The Alvin Silver Manufacturing Company was known for making fine sterling silver. The Gorham company of Providence, Rhode Island acquired the Alvin Company’s dies and patterns in 1928. It measures approximately 3 3/4" with original stopper. There is a monogram. In script, on the cartouche. It is marked" 999/1000 Fine" with the Alvin hallmark and numbers" 3 111" The Sterling overlay on this lovely bottle bears the hallmark of the Alvin Manufacturing Company. Which became Alvin Silver in erlay 1900. The art nouveau silver whips and swirls around the inverted tear-shape of the bottle. Forming flowers and stems. The condition of this bottle is near mint. The only problem is that sometime in the last century the stopper was bumped and has a slight chip and two small crack inside bottle neck(doesn't show when it is on. It sits properly and doesn't take away from the beauty of this bottle) Please note in the photos I show how the bottom of the bottle and the bottom of the stopper have matching etched numbers: 18. They have been mates since the day they were made- the glass in the stopper was ground specifically to fit the neck of this bottle. Very rare piece! I accept PayPal. It is very unique in its shape and size. ... moreI believe it is called 8 lobe or clove shape. The overlay is done in a draping floral pattern. The only marks I could find are on the outer rim. They are sterling and 151 I believe. Overall the bottle is in good to great shape. It does not appear to be missing any overlay. There are no repairs. Breaks, chips, or fleabites I could find. There is a couple dings to the sterling on the top but nothing major. It comes with what I believe is the original matching stopper. I wish I could say the condition was the same as the bottle but I can't. It appears to have been dropped a long time ago. There is a tiny corner of overlay missing that is small enough you can barely notice. I say dropped because the base of the stopper has a fairly good size chip all the way up. The edges are smooth leading me to believe it is old damage. It did not affect the beauty end of it though. It measures just under 6 1/2" tall with the stopper in and just under 4 3/4" without. The stopper itself measures about 2 5/8" long. Overall, even with the chipped stopper, it still displays beautifully and would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I am in no way an expert and try to describe things the best I can. Everything I sell is sold in as is condition as it was found. Please look at all pics for a better description. This has a very heavy silver overlay which you can feel on the inside of the top lip and where it has worn through on the bottom. The bottle is completely covered in silver and hand etched with flowers and what looks like a g. This is in very good condition except where the bottom has worn through and has not been polished but will shine up beautifully if desired. This is approximately 5" across x 3 1/2" tall. It did not come with a stopper. The opening is approximately 5/8" The bottom of the bottle is hollow ground which leads me to believe that the bottle was hand blown. Please see pic's for condition. Up for auction is an antique green glass perfume bottle with sterling silver overlay designs. There is no monogram. The stopper is approx. 1.5 inches long. The bottle stands approx. 2.5 inches without the stopper and 3.5 inches with it. On the back of the neck below the rim it is stamped Sterling. I can not find any other marks. There is one very tiny either flaw or chip on the bottom, I really can't tell if it is a flaw in the glass or tiny chip as it is very hard to notice. It is about the size of tiny grain of pepper. Up for bid is this rare sterling silver overlay perfume bottle. This. I believe was made for an upscale hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas. The person I bought it from could not remember the name of the hotel and the person who sold it to her has past away since and the hotel no longer exists. It is in very good condition except for a very tiny chip at the base of the stopper. The stopper end does have a few rough spots. It measures 3 1/2" tall and about 2" in diameter at the widest part. Gorgeous Steuben Glass& Alvin 999 Silver Overlay Deep Green Perfume Bottle 1900 This gorgeous glass and silver perfume bottle stands 2 1/8" tall and is 3" in diameter at its widest point. It features a deep green Steuben glass bottle with ornate art nouveau style 999 grade silver overlay by Alvin silversmiths. The silver has carnation flowers and buds with flowing leaves. Both the base rim and neck rim are sterling covered. The bottle has a round monogram area but it has never been engraved. The glass is etched"59" on the base and the silver is marked"G 8460 Patented 999/1000 Fine" and it has the Alvin hallmark. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. No loss of overlay and no deep scratches or breaks in the overlay. This listing is for an antique sterling silver overlay perfume bottle. It measures just a little over 3.5" tall and 2.5" at the widest point. The stopper also has the overlay. Part of the marking is worn off. But it looks like it says: Fine Silver 999 1000. Two of the nines and the F are worn off. The bottom of the bottle is etched with the number 167. The silver has light scratches, and the stopper has a few very tiny chips. Overall, nice condition.

This wonderful perfume bottle has a slender neck above the elongated rounded base. Beautiful dark cranberry coloration in the glass body. Glass stopper cranberry shading over clear. Intricate sterling silver decoration with center cartouche(unused) The silver is unmarked but guaranteed to be Sterling. The bottle measures(with stopper inserted) 4 1/2" high. 2 1/2" wide and the top opening is 1/2" in diameter. The bottle has an internal hairline from under silver neck to mid-section of body that cannot be felt on the exterior. The stopper is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. NICE Older Art Glass Tiffany (?) Loetz (?) Perfume Bottle Vase w/silver overlay
Up for bid is a very pretty little art glass perfume bottle or petite vase. I'm unclear on which it may be in that if it is a perfume. It is without a stopper and, I would expect to see some inside wear where the stopper would've fit inside and I don't see that wear. I am guaranteeing this as art glass but I cannot and am not, guaranteeing its manufacturer. It certainly looks to be typical work of either Tiffany or Loetz but it is NOT signed or numbered. There is no clue on the piece that identifies its origin. The age is also indeterminate though there is some minor bottom base wear that suggests it is not a new piece. PLEASE… look at all photos and bid based on the knowledge you may have. Whatever it may. It's a striking little piece in its deep, rich iridescence- deep, vibrant green with hues of purplish burgundy and hints ... moreof deep blue depending on how the light hits it. It stands just under 4" tall, has a top opening diameter of 1.25" and a bottom base diameter of 1" The piece is adorned with silver overlay around the top rim and again applied florals and vines that run on the bulbous part of the piece. The glass is in great condition overall. For accuracy I mention a minute flake that sits right next to the end of the silver-plate application; in fact, I didn't see it when I bought it and only discovered it under magnification when I got it home. The other conditions to note is that there is missing overlay. I discovered that too, on getting it home- the piece was so dirty and required careful cleaning and I saw it after cleaning. You can actually see the outline of where the overlay had been(and could be done again) in the photos. As far as noticing it as it sits, you won't, but on close inspection, you'll see it. In other words if it sits on a shelf or in a curio, it isn't noticeable. And it can be turned around and it is unseen if you like. Here for auction is a beautiful blue silver-overlay Murano glass perfume bottle. It is 5 1/2" high. 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" deep. A label is affixed to the bottle reading: argento 925 G.O.N. which means silver 925 and? The flowery decorations typicall of the Art Nouveau movement that happened 1900-1940 and well executed by italian artisans. This piece has minor wear to the silver galvanized overlay with some minor glass abrasions. Atomizer top is missing. This is a beautiful artistically rendored piece that would fit in any collection of fine glass.

And is done very much in that style. The bottle is covered entirely with a thick layer of silver, with none of the interior glass visible from the outside, unlike most silver overlay bottles. The silver is fantastically engraved with iris flower designs, done in a flowing, sinuous style. This iris motif is continued on the silver of the stopper as well. The leaves and stems of the irises form an oval cartouche on the side of the bottle, which has never been monogrammed. Use this bottle to hold whatever fine perfume or eau de toilet you like, or simply as a lovely display piece. This ... morepiece is in great condition. The overlay has no splits or problems of any sort. The glass is not visible from the outside. But looking inside, you can see there are no cracks or breaks. The stopper fits snugly. An ornate silver overlay etched glass perfume bottle. The bottle measures 6" high to the top of the stopper. The silver is in excellent condition with little if any wear to the detail. I believe it is German made. It is hallmarked as shown in the last photo. I do not know the fineness of the silver. The glass bottle has no chips. Cracks or staining. There are a couple shallow flakes on the fitting edge of the stopper. A pretty piece fresh from a central Connecticut home and new on the market. Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Overlay Glass Perfume Bottle w/Stopper Nice!
Up for bids is an antique Art Nouveau style perfume bottle. It is made of glass with sterling silver overlay. I believe it is called squat shaped. The overlay is done in a very beautiful floral/leaf pattern. Overall the bottle is in good to great condition. As far as I could tell there is no loss of sterling. Repairs, or cracks/chips/breaks to the glass. The only mark I could find on it is Sterling. There is some minor residue inside from whatever was in it years ago. Also the sterling has a couple minor dings on the rim. It has a place for a monogram that is clear and ready for your personalization. It comes with its original matching stopper. The hand blown stopper would be in great shape if it wasn't for the one chip as seen in the pics. This is a stunning perfume bottle featuring silver overlay at the base and a beautiful silver relief around the neck. The bottle is topped off with a silver screw-off top that also features some intricate scroll work. The bottle. In it's entirety measures 6 3/4" tall and is 3 1/2 inches at it's widest point. Antique Gorham Silver Overlay Glass Perfume Bottle --1871-- almost 6 inches tall
This auction if for a lovely antique Gorham silver overlay glass perfume bottle which was left to me by my dad's great aunt when she passed in 1998 at the age of 90. We believe this belonged to her mother. I have kept it with me over the years but never used or decorated with it. Its time for some one else to enjoy it. The bottle bears the Gorham's Lion- Anchor- G mark on the silver near the bottom(visible in photo. The silver is also marked with"D1558" From what I have researched. The letters indicate the year in which the piece was made. According to the website.925-1000.com the letter D indicates the year 1871. Please, I am in no way an expert on silver or Gorham. I have researched as best I can so that I may list this item as accurately as possible. I do not have expert knowledge and am only going based on what I was ... moreable to learn during researching. The condition of the bottle is as you would expect for its age. Unfortunately there are some cracks in the glass. There is a U shaped crack on the back of the bottle. There are some cracks on the interior of the neck of the bottle that are not visible unless the stopper is out. There is also a small flea bite in the glass on the bottom ridge of the stopper. None of these flaws are visible when the bottle is on display. I tried my best to picture them in the last three photos. The silver is in nice shape with a rich. Beautiful patina. The silver design creates lovely flower shapes over the glass. The height of the bottle, including the stopper, is almost 6 inches. The measurement around the widest part of the bottle is about 10.5 inches. The width of the bottom is about 2.5 inches. The width of the top of the stopper is a little over 2 inches. The bottle including the stopper weighs 15 ounces; just an ounce shy of 1 pound. Please view all of the photos as they are part of the description. This is a good example of the decorative perfume bottles being made during the early years of the 20th century in the Art Nouveau style. Please note there is some corrosion around the stopper and a small chip shown in the 3rd photo. The silver on the bottle needs polished but I will leave that to the buyer. Perfume Bottle For your consideration is an antique perfume bottle. The bottle is made out of glass and has a sterling silver overly with a floral design. The silver at the bottom is marked"D1887" and then a lion. An anchor, and another hallmark I cannot identify. The silver on the top stopper is marked"DEC" It stands roughly 4.25 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide. There are a couple small chips on the bottom of the stopper where it goes into the bottle. It needs a little polishing as it is straight from storage to eBay. No cracks to the bottle neck. No chips or cracks to the glass bottle.
