It is not my intention to mislead in any way with the information provided. Just letting you know what I know(sorry not much: I found the bottle in the bottom of a box of old"junk" at a local sale and thought it interesting. I was told by the seller it was from her grandmother's things and they had been in storage and forgotten about. It looks to me to be authentic, the items in the box were definitely old, and I believe it is probably an antique. It is not marked that I can find. The metal looks and feels like sterling but again, it is not marked. I did a quick magnetic test on it and it is not magnetic. I'm not sure what other metal it would be honestly, to steer in that direction. I dipped it in Tarn-X and it did shine up a bit, in particular the flower part of the lid and the chain. It could have been just dirty though so I really don't know. The main part of the bottle is duller than under the rim, which is very shiny, and I assume the dullness from handling. After all of this being said. It is a sweet little bottle and dauber. It screws on and off easily. In my opinion it is made well. Any questions let me know! The Silver Overlay on one is complete and Beautiful. The other one has a part of a flower missing(Picture with the frosty looking outline shows the missing silver) It was hard to get great pictures without glare and reflections and shadows. These are not marks on the Silver or bottle. But like I mentioned. Silver needs to be polished, so there are tarnished marks, Patina? The Top rims are also slightly different. One has a little wider cover lip. The Stoppers are complete. One has a“fracture” Bottom of stem, but it seems to be internal. Both have chipping/fleabites along stem bottoms. The One Stopper with the“fracture” was hand-blown and is hollow. The other Stopper is Solid. Each are similar size but have a little different shape. These two really complement each other. But they are not identical. Would be a lovely Cruet Set for Oil and Vinegar. They are both so lovely just Sitting on Display. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. This is an antique late 1800's to early 1900's perfume/cologne/tonic/barber bottle with a metal dabber top. The glass is a beautiful textured and decorated artful piece. It measures 4-1/2" high by 1-1/2" X 2" wide and deep. It has a rose type embossed emblem on the bottom but doesn't have any names or numbers on it. She is wearing a beautiful blue lustre ware gown with a white panel in the font that is trimmed in white ruffly gathered lace. Two forest green bows are tied on each side of the front of her gown. Massachusetts by Saart Brothers in about 1906. Patented. The bottle measures a Large approx. 5 1/2" Tall X 3 1/2 inches high. Stunning Antique English Cut Crystal & Sterling Silver Perfume Bottle / Flask
A wonderfully tactile scent flask. With it's deeply cut crystal in a series of star cuts within a diamond shaped lozenge. The glass is a beautiful Emerald green fading to clear at the bottom of the flask. The screw-top lid is decorated with repousse work crowned with a circular cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wished to personalize. The interior is cork filled to avoid evaporation of the precious contents. The silver is of course hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, Victorian in era. The makers initials CM are present for the silversmith, Charles May. Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3" x 1" at widest. This highly collectible French crystal perfume bottle is in very good condition. Free of chips or cracks. For the most part, the inside of the bottle is fairly clean. It measures approx. 6" high with the ribbed stopper that has a hand ground tip. The original Art Deco metal type foil label may have been gold tone at one time. It's embossed, EAU DE TOILETE, LE No 1" RALLET, New York, Paris(see more photos below) The bottom is embossed, RALLET, along with another round stamp(hard to detect, possibly Baccarat? A beautiful shell and gilt metal articulated perfume casket. These were very popular in France from about 1840 to 1860. This one is in excellent condition: a small chip in the alabaster base. And the little glass stoppers are missing, but other than that-perfect! It opens with a spring mechanism: you push down on the leaf at the top and the two shells open to reveal the two perfume bottles inside. The bottles are very heavy for their size. The top is gold but I have not had it tested. The top unscrews to reveal the original tiny stopper. The glass is white colored but it has a"fire" when held to the glass. This perfume measures 1" across and 1-1/2" tall with the stopper. This amazing scent bottle from the early 1800's is offered for the opening bid with no reserve.
