Antique green bubble glass perfume bottle/ atomizer
This listing is for a perfume bottle/ atomizer probably from the early 1900's. I purchased this at an estate sale over 20 years ago and the atomizer bulb was dry and brittle. It got packed up 7 years later and only uncovered a week ago. Unfortunately. The atomizer bulb had literally disintegrated. The glass however is unique with lots of bubbles and the stem that carries the perfume to the sprayer is metal, as is the top, but I'm not sure what the metal is, but proves its age. The style appears Czech/European to me and likely c. early 1900's. It has little white. Pink and orange painted flowers with gold leaves. All the enamel painting is very much intact with no real loss to mention. No chips, cracks or repairs to the glass. The atomizer is antique but uncertain if it was original with this bottle. Very nice anyway and an interesting bulb. It almost looks like"wood" The bulb has a little squish to it but I doubt enough to make spray. If you want the bottle to spray you would likely need a new bulb. This has that"internal" glass effect that I love so much ~ where it looks paneled on the outside but is really smooth on the outside ... morewith the panels on the inside. There is a smooth pontil on the bottom. It is very clean inside and out, 5 3/8 inches tall to the highest part of the atomizer and the base is 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
