Antique 1800's pair Forget-me-not porcelain perfume scent vanity dresser bottles
This auction is for a absolutely sweet pair of antique dresser perfume scent bottles. Although unsigned; these were probably made in Paris. France in the 1800's. They measure 2 1/2" tall including the stopper x 2" x 2" Without the stopper. They measure 1 7/8" tall. Basically a square cushion shape. They are decorated with tiny blue Forget-Me-Nots with sprays of delicate leaves in gold leaf; the edges are also accented in gold leaf. These pieces are not cracked and have not been re-glued. Issues: Overall in very pleasing condition; there is some wear on the gold leaf. In addition; the porcelain is discolored due to wear on the un-glazed areas(bottom. Inside neck and stopper base) There is one tiny flake on the upper lip(in the gold leaf) of one of the bases; and a small flake off the bottom of one stopper. The most ... morenotable damage is that both stoppers each have a notable chip in one corner(see last photo) These are very pleasing pieces and unusual to find a pair. Antique Zsolnay Porcelain Pottery Perfume Scent Bottle 4" 1800s Hungary
Hi. I have for sale a Zsolnay perfume- scent bottle made in Hungary It is marked Zsolnay and is consistent with their marks. It is 4 inches long by about 3 inches wide This is made between 1865- 1900 The pictures on each side depict a fairytale from the Grimm Brothers. Zsolnay(1828-1900) took over the family business in 1865. It was taken in another direction. Vilmos produced high-end tea services and vases instead. Early tea services depicting scenes from the Brothers Grimm tales date back to this era. Brothers Grimm wrote fairytales such as Cinderella. Snow White and many others. There is a crack on the very top left where the cork would go(see picture) it is not real noticeable. There is a cork missing it did have a cork at one time. Antique Porcelain Scent Perfume Bottle C1900 Josephine Portrait
For sale is an antique porcelain scent perfume bottle circa 1900 with a beautiful Josephine portrait as shown in the photos. Does not include the stopper. Size is 2-1/4" wide x 1-3/4" tall x 3/4" thick at its thickest point. I believe this is called a transfer painting. It has hand painted gold gilt stenciling all around. The condition of the artwork as well as the gold gilt and porcelain is very good. Rare HOBE` Porcelain Antique PERFUME Scent BOTTLE w/Cherub & Pansies - as Found
Antique Porcelain Perfume Scent Bottle marked HOBE` with figural Cherub and Realistic Pansies and Wild Roses. Very Unique large Bulbous body measures 8 1/2" tall and 5" across the wisest part of the bottle. Guesstimated to be from the very early 1900's to very early 1940's. The Cherub and the three footed bottle are in excellent condition. Unfortunately the flowers are missing many pieces. This is from a resent estate consignment and being sold as found. 19th. Century French Porcelain Perfume / Scent Bottle Hand Painted
We are offering 2 antique perfume bottles. They are hand painted and gilded. The first one is 6 5/8" stopper included) high. Bottom diameter is 2 5/8" The bottle has 4 hand painted panels with purple and lavender flowers and is accented with cobalt blue scrolls. The gold shows wear. Especially on the rim of the stopper and on the neck. Both bottles have a diagonal line on the bottom. This first one also has a letter engraved on the bottom. It is cursive and we cannot interpret it. The second bottle is a tad shorter. 6 1/2" This is because the stopper fits more deeply into the neck of the bottle. The shape of the bottle is identical to the first one. The design on this bottle is a little less elaborate. There are clusters of pink and of maroon flowers. This bottle has a hairline, about 2" long, on one of the panels. The ... morebottom of the stopper has a few nicks, quite small. The gold trim on this bottle shows wear also. Each bottle weighs nearly a pound.

NR OPALINE PALAIS ROYALE FRENCH PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE CASKET PORCELAIN PORTRAITS
You are bidding on a very beautiful green French opaline scent/perfume bottle with four different porcelain portraits. I am not an expert in this field. But from what I have seen, this appears to be from the Palais Royale era, mid 1800's, and sold as one of the many souvenirs. I have seen similar ormolu scent bottles with various scenes of Paris's architectural highlights such as the Place Vendome, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, etc. though very few with portraits. Dimensions are 7" high to the top of the finial and just slightly under 4" in diameter at the bulbous widest point. In excellent display condition, there is some verdigris and darkening of the ormolu that has blackened and consistent with its age. A warm patination overall covers the ormolu and has burnished it to a deep rich gold. One of the portraits of the young ... moremaiden has a slight bend in the cartouche(picture 8) that I note for accuracy. I also noticed within the open mouth of the bottle, there is a crease that I can't tell if it is a crease or a hairline from in-the-making, which I have shown in photo 9. No chips or repairs. The four portraits on the bottle are gorgeous. One cherubic child in prayer. That could definitely pass as a putti if you added wings, the second, a darling choir boy in purple cloak and white collared blouse, a little girl with hands clasped to her chest and revered expression. The fourth portrait is a young maiden reading her letter she has just penned. The colors are vibrant and clear and appears to be on porcelain that is hard and shiny. The intricate design of the metal ormolu is like lace on the bottle. The base, has a sturdy beading connecting the four feet that are delicately scrolled. The clear apple green of the opaline is so pretty that you want to bite into it like a green apple. You know this is an early piece because you can see the pontil on its base. picture 14) The piece de resistance however. Is the oriental magistrate, who is smoking a hookah, as a finial, with scalloped beading on its rim.

The lid and ring are probably brass. The bottle itself is 2 1/4" tall. With the chain it is 4 1/4" long. The bottle is 1 3/8" wide and about 1/2" deep. The lid is 15mm across and works very well. The painting is in great condition with no scratches or wear. The lid has wear and darkening from age and use.
