The both measure: 3" High with a base of 2.65" by 1.25. They have matching Goldtone Tops. The perfume top stem has been shortened(as in broken when I was taking the pictures. So sorry about that. Vintage Art Deco 1920s Signed DEVILBISS Glass Perfume Bottle Atomizer Steuben? Striking Art Deco dark lavender art glass perfume bottle with black dragonflies and gold metal mounts. Signed DeVilbiss. Circa 1920s. The glass bottle was possibly made by Steuben as DeVilbiss didn't make the glass for their perfume bottles, only the hardware, cords and bulbs for the atomizers. They would design a bottle and send the model to Steuben, Cambridge or the Fenton glass factories, where they were produced in the types of glass specified and sent back to DeVilbiss. This beauty stands 6 1/2" high x 2 1/4" wide. There is some wear/ loss to the gold finish on the metal. Light age discoloration to the cord and bulb and minor tiny scuffs to the glass. There is one light scuff of note above one of the dragonflies as shown. There are no chips or ... morecracks. This bottle is a deep lavender color. But the shade is appearing a little darker on my monitor in the first few photos. Will ship insured. Thanks for looking! RARE Antique Art Deco BLACK & SILVER Perfume Bottle Atomizer SIGNED DeVILBISS
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is an elegant black glass perfume bottle with rare silver tone hardware& atomizer. The hardware is all original ~ only the bulb and cord are new ~ but even the cord caps are original. This is definitely a DeVilbiss bottle and has the gold painted stamp on the bottom. Likely c. 1920-1930. Again, another bottle with that great Art Deco style. This bottle is in excellent condition ~ nothing major to report. Perhaps a tiny surface scratch I missed. No chips or cracks and no repairs that I can detect. In fact, the atomizer can be overly twisted past it's tight point and I feel just a tiny give in the collar if you twist it that far. This tiny detail is something that naturally occurs after years and years of use, you may not even notice it, but ... moreit's another reason I feel confident the hardware is original. I have not shined the silver as I was not certain if it is meant to have this"brushed" metal appearance but I always liked it that way so you'll have to do the shinning. The bottle is empty and clean inside and out. The glass syphon tube is intact with only a couple microscopic nibbles to the very end. When the bulb is squeezed you are able to feel the air come out so it appears to still be in working order. The gold"DeVilbiss" lettering on the bottom of the base is very clear& readable. It is 6 1/2 inches tall to the top of the ball on the atomizer. The base is 2 1/4 inches wide. You just can't go wrong with such a supreme example of DeVilbiss at it's best. Outstanding estate find and an amazing opportunity to own a gorgeous and unique. Twice-signed 1926 DeVilbiss Art Deco decorated glass perfume bottle with atomizer top. A helpful eBay tipster says this bottle is depicted as design J-1 of 5 different designs on page twenty seven of the 1926 DeVilbiss catalog, which it reads"Presenting for the first time, authentic adaptations of famous Reptilian designs, each of which has an interesting Museum history. I'm also advised that bottles of this design do not reappear in the 1927 and later catalogs. This delicate clear glass bottle has a lemon yellow interior reservoir and an applied base of clear over lemon colored glass; it is hand decorated with enamel in an abstract reptilian design in deep chocolate brown and vibrant orange and gilt detailing leading to a starburst pattern on the base. ... moreThe bottom of the base is marked with the name DeVilbiss in script. The brass atomizer top features a decorative pattern on the collar. Which is also impressed with the name DeVilbiss in block letters, but is missing the bulb and cord. The glass straw attached to the atomizer top is broken and appears to be missing about 1" of its original length. There is a minor manufacturer flaw in the glass near the rim of the base, but it does not detract from the overall appearance of this amazing perfume bottle. Antique Perfume Bottle Historic De Vilbiss Embossed Gold Opalescent Iridescent This bottle is in perfect condition. No cracks. Nicks, chips or stains. The bottle is beautiful for showcase in bathroom with essential oil. Although, the bottle still has a wonderful scent to it from days past. It is gold iridescent opalescent so gives off different colors when the light hits it. The bottle also has a beautiful gold collar with etching design which is still rich in color and shine. Dr. Allen DeVilbiss invented and patented the first atomizer in the late 1880's for the sole purpose of helping his patients to breath easier. The atomizer transformed liquid to spray form. To manufacture the device. Dr. DeVilbiss formed an individual proprietorship known as The DeVilbiss Manufacturing Company in Toledo. OH. Dr. Allen's son. Thomas, was active in product development and became a full partner in the company in 1905. Thomas had wanted to add perfume atomizers to his company's product line for years. But finally gained his father's approval. This would prove to be a very lucrative business venture for the next 30 years or so. The Bottle Manufactured by Steuben. Steuben made thousands of superb Tiffany style perfume bottles in a gorgeous iridescent peacock blue and in a lustrous gold called Aurene. From 1902-1930. The perfumizers were categorized by the company with a simple letter system. The"B" series were of fine quality and had the DeVilbiss signature in gilt or silver lettering on the base.
