The Alvin Manufacturing Company was founded in 1886 by William H. Jamouneau in Irvington. New Jersey. The company moved to Sag Harbor, Long Island in 1895 and later changed its name to the Alvin Silver Co. in 1919. The Alvin Silver Manufacturing Company was known for making fine sterling silver. The Gorham company of Providence, Rhode Island acquired the Alvin Company’s dies and patterns in 1928. It measures approximately 3 3/4" with original stopper. There is a monogram. In script, on the cartouche. It is marked" 999/1000 Fine" with the Alvin hallmark and numbers" 3 111" The Sterling overlay on this lovely bottle bears the hallmark of the Alvin Manufacturing Company. Which became Alvin Silver in erlay 1900. The art nouveau silver whips and swirls around the inverted tear-shape of the bottle. Forming flowers and stems. The condition of this bottle is near mint. The only problem is that sometime in the last century the stopper was bumped and has a slight chip and two small crack inside bottle neck(doesn't show when it is on. It sits properly and doesn't take away from the beauty of this bottle) Please note in the photos I show how the bottom of the bottle and the bottom of the stopper have matching etched numbers: 18. Large 8 3/4 inch ANTIQUE, VICTORIAN BRASS FILIGREE PERFUME BOTTLE.
This is really a beautiful piece. Please check my pictures as they are part of my description. As you can see. The glass applicator is broken but most of it is there and with a dot of glue, it's an easy fix. There is a couple spots of minor tarnish that I didn't try to clean but I'm sure it could be cleaned.It stands nice and strait but the base is possibly pushed in ever so slightly. As you can see in the pictures, It looks great. On one of the BEVELED glass panels, there is a small area where the metal doesn't fit tightly to the glass but when I look with a jewler's loop, it appears that it may have been that way since it was made because the only thing keeping it raised is brass solder. The few flaws are very minor and when this is on your dresser, all you see is beauty.

ANTIQUE Silver & Cobalt GLASS PERFUME Scent Snuff BOTTLE made in FRANCE 1850s
French made snuff or parfume bottle circa 1850-1870. It is made of blue cobalt glass and silver. I used to think that the top had a bit of turquoise on it. But I cannot be sure that it is turquoise. I am sure that it is silver fretwork that encases the cobalt glass.I seriously doubt that it's a right enough grade to be considered sterling. There are no marks on the silver to indicate what it is. The top screws on, it's not a"cork top" as many of them are of the day. There is no damage to the exterior of the bottle. However the spoon has detached due to the adhesive failure. That is a spoon and not a perfume dabber. The new owner can decide whether or not they wish to have it cleaned. It will need to go to a legitimate jewelry or restoration expert. However. I never cleaned it because frankly I'm afraid I don't know ... morehow. It is about 1.25" tall and 3/4 of an inch in width. Please see the photos for exact examples. I've had this for about 15 years and I cannot remember where I purchased it. It was probably at an antique shop. There for a while, I thought that I would start collecting snuff bottles because of the variety of materials and mediums there are in one subject type. They are interesting. However, I purchased another snuff bottle within a couple of months after this one and it turns out to be a"reproduction" the likes of those listed that fetch under $5. After that finding out exactly what I purchased and that I paid quite a bit for, I lost interest in collecting them. So this is the only one that I have and it belongs in a collection. This is an old perfume bottle which was originally purchased in France. I do not know if it was made there. But it was purchased there. It measures 8 inches tall, and 3 inches wide. It has a clear stopper. The colors are amber and amethyst on the body, and it has a clear spiral accent which wraps around the body of the bottle. There is no damage to it, just the rub marks from the stopper being taken off and put on.

Antique Art Glass Perfume Bottle Base Light Purple w Enameled Flowers & Gold
This is an old perfume bottle base acquired from an estate. I have no idea of the age or origin but it appears to be a vintage piece. It is about 3 ½” tall and 2 ½” in diameter at the widest point towards the base. I’m assuming that it had some type of sprayer/atomizer that screwed into the metal top part. The glass is lightweight(almost like blown glass) and clear but has a light purple cast to it. There are enameled white flowers and leaf outlines. The leaves have a gold coloring. It is in used condition. There are no chips to the glass. The base has some surface scratches from use but there are no scratches on the sides. This auction is for a wonderful miniature perfume bottle. Measures 2 3/4 inches tall. Has all the original czech glass jewels. Beautiful rose enamel design on the front. The chain that attaches the lid to the base is off. But the hoop is there and I would think can be easily fixed. Now as I examine this I see there is a"flower" opening on the base. The sides are gold gilt open filigree; centers have beveled amber glass with the glass perfume bottle encased inside a metal filigree center. The gold has a lovely finish and nice patina to it. The stoppers have a metal finial with glass daubers; the perfume bottle insert is removable by unscrewing it. Each piece is quality and substantial in weight. There are intricate details throughout the bottles themselves. Stoppers have a cherub holding a bird and inside on the botanical filigree ... moreis another bird. Overall fanatstic detail throughout each bottle. Tiny Antique Silver and Glass Purse Perfume Bottle, 1 Inch
This tiny but ornate item stands 1 1/4" high and is about 3/4" wide. It features a tiny black or dark green bottle covered with squares of plain silver and silver flowers. The top screws on and has its original glass applicator and a turquoise-colored stone at the top(not sure if it is real turquoise) This appears to be Mexican or Spanish but I could be mistaken. I believe it is sterling silver because there is very little tarnish even though I have not polished it. One side is more"finished" than the other side. There are no markings that I can find. This belonged to my mother and possibly grandmother. Thus I feel I can safely call it an antique. Please note that the glass applicator is a bit wobbly but seems to be firmly fixed within the little lid.

Here is an elegant antique black art glass perfume bottle. In a bulb form, with Moser enameling and gilding. The design is a golden band with painted enamel happy dots and painted gold all over ivy leaves. Worn on a chatelaine, finger ring, or pendant. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS MODERATE TO HIGH WEAR ON THE GOLDEN PAINTED IVY LEAVES AND WEAR STREAKS ON THE CENTER BAND. The lid and chain/loop are brass, tight fit, NO STOPPER. THE LID AND INNER RIM HAVE ORIGINAL PATINA AND SPOTS OF GREENISH CORROSION. I DID NOT USE A CHEMICAL SOLUTION TO CLEAN.
