c1890 French ART NOUVEAU Silver CHATELAINE Perfume / Scent Bottle -Floral Design
From a local estate- Beautiful c1890 Silver Perfume or Scent bottle with repousse Art Nouveau floral design. The hallmarks are very tiny and difficult to read- 2 at the bottom edge and one on the lid or cap near the hinge(see last two photos) I believe they are French. The bottle contains its original tiny ground glass stopper and has a ring on the back for attaching to a chatelaine. Heavy for its size- will not easily dent. Weighs 18.8 grams. Measures 2 3/8 tall. Has a gold vermeil or gold wash inside the cap and stopper area. The bottle is in very good condition with few signs of wear. I found a few tiny dents- nothing that detracts or is easily noticed. I guarantee it to be silver and not plated. The last two photos have a yellowish tint but that is just the way the light reflects and NOT there in real life. A really quite amazing large crystal scent bottle with a solid or sterling silver collar clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1904. The Edwardian era.There is also a number at the side of the hallmark 16627, presumably a pattern/ design number of some kind. Vtg Antique Beautiful Silver Overlay Perfume Bottle 1906 Art Nouveau w/ stopper
Estate sale find. In good vintage condition.Measures about 4 1/2" tall. I was told this was Sterling Silver. I can not find any markings. There is a 98 etched on the bottom of the stopper. I see a tiny flea bite on the stopper base when held in light. I did not feel it. There is 1906 and flowers in the design. It looks like maybe a monogram? Silver is slightly tarnished could stand to be cleaned. I will leave this to the new owner. I purchased the matching perfume also let me know if interested I can list that one also. We're assuming they are rare. The Alvin Manufacturing Company was founded in 1886 by William H. Jamo uneau in Irvington. New Jersey. The company moved to Sag Harbor. Long Island in 1895 and later changed its name to the Alvin Silver Co. in 1919. The Alvin Silver Manufacturing Company was known for making fine sterling silver. The Gorham company of Providence. Rhode Island acquired the Alvin Company’s dies and patterns in 1928. The largest measures 4" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter with original stopper. This is a beautiful perfume bottle which has"Made in France" etched on the bottom. There are two nude ladies holding incense burners on the sides of this bottle and stylized flowers on the other sides. Very striking Art Nouveau design all around. This is 3 1/2 inches tall by about 2 1/2 inches wide. I cannot get the stopper to come out and have left that"as-is. There are fleabites to two corners of the stopper. Also. Antique Art Nouveau Perfume Bottle w/ copper floral design on glass
This pretty antique“Art Nouveau” perfume bottle has a lovely floral decoration that was embossed in copper and then fitted to the glass bottle. The copper was originally silver plated. Which can be detected by looking at the color of the metalwork through the bottom of the bottle. This bottle is short, only 2 ½inches tall, and squarish in shape, about 3 ¼ inches wide, but the way the copper work was applied, to create a four-petaled flower shape, adds an organic feel to it. The bottle stopper has a more geometric, than floral, design, with a bold“X” that splits the square top into four triangles. Reproductions of a bottle like this one have been made, but this perfume bottle is an antique. It is in very good antique condition with only a tiny chip off of the edge of the part of the stopper that fits into the bottle's neck. Antique Art Nouveau Silver Laced Perfume Bottle w/Stopper
You are bidding on an early 1900's Art Nouveau perfume bottle with silver lace and original stopper. Looks identical to a Gorham or Matthew Company perfume bottle however I couldn't find any identifying marks except for the#308 stamped in the overlay. The#246 is etched on the bottom of both the bottle and the stopper identifying them as original pairs. There is no monogram etched in the plate so you can have it etched if you choose. There is a small chip on one side of the bottom of the stopper. Please see the pictures for verification. The measurements on the bottle are: 2-3/8" tall, 2-1/8" wide. The measurements of the stopper are: 1-7/8" tall, 7/8" wide. Together the bottle and the stopper are 3-9/16" tall. And is done very much in that style. The bottle is covered entirely with a thick layer of silver, with none of the interior glass visible from the outside, unlike most silver overlay bottles. The silver is fantastically engraved with iris flower designs, done in a flowing, sinuous style. This iris motif is continued on the silver of the stopper as well. The leaves and stems of the irises form an oval cartouche on the side of the bottle, which has never been monogrammed. Highly collectible. Gorgeous piece made in original historical Czechoslovakia mould. It is in an ART DECO style. Original mould 1900(pre- 1st World War) original RIEDEL MOULD. It is in excellent condition(no chips. Cracks, repairs, scratches) The bottle 1 st quality glass from Bohemia. Size: 15.5 cm tall(incl. stopper) 6.1 inch tall(incl. stopper) Interior is clean& perfect- no flaws Little piece of history of the the signed bottle: These perfume bottles are made from Jizerske Mountains glass. They were made in a small hidden village in Czechoslovakia. Later on taken over by DESNA glass. All of these bottles are handmade in moulds(forms) that originated from ... moreRiedel in 1908. Sadly so rare now. And difficult to get this collection. Never say never. However there are few points to consider that to get these bottles is so difficult. The moulds(forms) have been broken over the years and most of them are not available. These perfume bottles were handmade. By pressing the heated glass into the moulds. Hint: original old piece you can judge by little air bubbles in the glass(old ancestors had no posibility to push the tiny bubbles out from the mould) So little tiny bubles is not fault, however it is another sign of the genuine Czechoslovakian glass. Although. This beautiful piece- it is an ideal for anybody, who is interested in old glass or who is mixing his own homemade perfumes. Lovely. Pre-owned, old glass perfume bottle. No damage, no chips or cracks, etc. Bottle is etched stamped/signed on the interior of the bottom" Bottle made in Germany" encased in a small etched circle. It's very faint and hard to see, but there. The gorgeous and ornate glass dauber is in perfect condition and fits nice and tight, no repairs, etc. The Art Nouveau era stopper motif is gold with a white wash over it and the pattern is cherub or putti. The motif is approx. 2 inches across. See all 11 photos for close ups. Approx. size and condition verification. Hoffman Art Nouveau Butterfly Smoke colored, Jeweled Czech Glass Perfume Bottle
For your consideration is this stunning Art Nouveau Smoke Colored Crystal Butterfly-form Jeweled Perfume Bottle with Metal Fittings! This piece has been attributed to Hoffman. This piece measures 2.75" high. The cut butterfly decoration is carried onto the back of this piece but it does not include the metal decoration or any jewels. Gold tone metal framework shows no signs of damage. The jewels on this piece are beautiful rose/pink-colored and a faux pearl in the center. Stopper has its long glass dobber and is in very good condition. THe bottle is in good condition with two small dings(see last photo) It is acid etched"czechoslovakia" on the bottom and the metal filigree is also marked Czechoslovakia.

The glass has some surface wear and scratching. Some tiny chips along the edges but its a modest amount. There are some dents and dimples to the caps. Overall this is a finely made and colorful, sterling silver double ended perfume bottle, that is from the Victorian era and is in good condition.
