Made in Western Germany on a silver disc on bottom. This is hand painted in raised enamels on a porcelain bottle. The stopper looks to be plastic, and I can't easily get it open so I am not going to try and force it, will leave that up to the new owner. This measures 4 1/2" tall and would be a great addition to your collectible bottles. 19th. Century French Porcelain Perfume / Scent Bottle Hand Painted
We are offering 2 antique perfume bottles. They are hand painted and gilded. The first one is 6 5/8" stopper included) high. Bottom diameter is 2 5/8" The bottle has 4 hand painted panels with purple and lavender flowers and is accented with cobalt blue scrolls. The gold shows wear. Especially on the rim of the stopper and on the neck. Both bottles have a diagonal line on the bottom. This first one also has a letter engraved on the bottom. It is cursive and we cannot interpret it. The second bottle is a tad shorter. 6 1/2" This is because the stopper fits more deeply into the neck of the bottle. The shape of the bottle is identical to the first one. The design on this bottle is a little less elaborate. There are clusters of pink and of maroon flowers. This bottle has a hairline, about 2" long, on one of the panels. The ... morebottom of the stopper has a few nicks, quite small. The gold trim on this bottle shows wear also. Each bottle weighs nearly a pound.

Antique IVORY PORCELAIN Perfume Sprinkler Bottle or Ink Well HAND PAINTED ROSES
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is beautiful porcelain perfume sprinkler bottle or ink well. I really am not certain what it is. I bought it thinking it was something for perfume but the longer I had it the more I began to think it could be an ink well. All the metal is sterling and it is stamped"sterling" with a makers mark of some sort also stamped into the silver. The sterling silver has been gold washed and gold is still in very good condition with very little worn away. My thought is that it is French and it is numbered on the bottom. The first number is quite worn but when I look at it with my loupe it is most likely a 5 so the number is"52. I think. It has a couple very tiny chips tot he bottom edge that you really don't notice from the top but you can see ... morethem when you look at the bottom. I have tried to show these in the photos but they are very tiny. The porcelain has a very delicate raised design that as been accented with gold paint. The flowers are pink and orange roses which are carefully& finely hand painted. If you touch them gently you will feel texture to the roses and the difference in the feel of the smooth ivory porcelain and the painted green leaves. There are 4 rose paintings surrounding the jar and each one is unique and different. I thought the orange roses were so unusual to a piece of this age I did a bit of research. It seems the yellow and red rose were cultivated into the orange rose at the turn of the 20th century. The meaning of the orange rose is"Desire" Passion" and"Enthusiasm" Of course the red rose has always meant"True Love" Having these 2 colors of roses together I would think might make this a rather scandalous gift between two love birds. No. I am not writing for Harlequin- I just find the color combination intriguing as they were much more into the meanings of flowers during that time period. This listing is for a beautiful pair of antique hand painted porcelain old France perfume bottles. They are standing 6 1/2" tall with the stoppers and measures on the bottom at approx; around 3" x 3" It is in excellent condition. But one stopper have a small chip on the end, one bottle previously used,I still smell old perfume sense. The bottom is mark"P" possible Jean Pettit) and you could see some wear to the gold part.
