Very unique glass bottle encased in craved wood.
This unusual beautiful carved wood encased bottle was bought in Hungary about 45 yrs. ago. Very detailed carved. I think it's Walnut. A real conversation piece and you don't see them around. 71/2" HIGH, 51/2" dia. around the middle and 3" dia. at base. Weighs 2 3/4 lbs. Small crack, see last photo, it does not take away from item and I doubt that it effects structure.

Vintage Gilt Encased Cobalt Navy Blue Glass Perfume Bottle w/ Rhinestones
Sweet little cobalt blue glass perfume bottle. Encased in ornate gilt metal and decorated with rhinestone scripted letter S. The glass is in excellent condition, and dauber is in tact. Lid works well. There are a few rhinestones missing from the S, and it appears that at one time there may have been an ornament or rhinestone to the top(easy to replace! I can only detect verdigris at two spots in the front, otherwise the gilt looks wonderful, but this little gem needs a proper cleaning. Bottle measures about 2-1/2" high by 2" wide, and 1" deep. Brass_ This piece is unique for its jeweled glass cabochons that are made to simulate Jade. The central glass cabochon is 5/8" in length and has a full domed shape just like the cab on the cap. The casing also has five bright rhinestones that are all original to the piece. The brass casing has become misshapen with age. It is askew and lopsided to one side of the perfume bottle, this does not seem to be repairable and I think as a consequence the bottle doesn't stand upright. Sweet antique/vintage cobalt blue glass perfume bottle. Encased in ornate gilt metal and decorated with rhinestone scripted letter S. The glass is in excellent condition, and dauber is in tact. Lid works well. There are a few rhinestones missing from the S, and it appears that at one time there may have been a rhinestone to the top(easy to replace! I can only detect verdigris at two spots in the front, otherwise the gilt looks wonderful, but this little gem needs a proper cleaning. Bottle measures about 2-1/2" high by 2" wide, and 1" deep.
