Gorgeous little atomizer with pink and blue roses and pink and white alternation trim. Lots of 24kt gold detailing and the lettering on the bottom is clear and easy to read. No fading to the design or gold trim. Porcelain shows no cracks. Chips, etc. The brass finish on the pump shows minimal wear for the age. Lovely little piece. Stands just 3" tall and has good action in the pump and makes the proper sound. The inside still smells of perfume from the previous owner. Antique Art Glass Metal Floral Perfume Atomizer Bottle THORENS Music Box Plays!
Up for your consideration is this beautiful perfume atomizer set atop a Thorens music box base. This is in wonderful antique condition and retains most of the gilding. The open metalwork features a vine and floral pattern surrounding the perfume bottle. The windup music box plays smooth and features a switch on the base which is supposed to turn off the music when the base is set down, this switch needs adjustment as it must be pushed up slightly higher then the legs allow. The atomizer bulb is disintegrated from age within the mesh cover and hangs limp until a new one can be installed by the buyer if they so desire. Up for auction is a very unique antique/ vintage metal and glass perfume atomizer with a Thorens music box. There is no perfume in the bottle and the ball atomizer has hardened from age. There are no chips or cracks and is in very good condition. It measures 4 ½’ tall and about 3” wide. It also has a great metal floral design going around the perfume bottle and because it has the Thorens music box attached it is possible this is Swiss in origin. This is a nice atomizer perfume bottle by Gregor of Bavaria Germany. The porcelain bottle is decorated on opposite sides with two different transfer ware floral arrangements including a large red rose on one side and an orchid on the other plus gold trim. The brass atomizer has a plum colored bulb in working order. Including the atomizer the bottle is about 5" tall. I can find no information on the Gregor company. I see they made both porcelain and glass perfume bottles. Others offer them for $75 to $125 EACH. I suspect this company operated after WWII up to maybe 1973 when WEST Germany became the norm for labeling. Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with. Antique MULTI LOBED PORCELAIN Perfume Bottle Atomizer VICTORIAN FLORAL DESIGN
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is gorgeous multi-lobed perfume bottle and atomizer. This is a very delicate bottle& atomizer. The horn where the bulb attaches has been re-soldered on. It is all original but has had that one repair. You probably never would have known if not told. But it helps me make a point that when removing these old tops ~ always hold only the main body of the atomizer when you twist. Not the part where the bulb comes out and not the little sprayer nose as these are easy to snap off. This was a"fixer-upper" that turned out really beautiful. I've done my best to shine up the metal and remove some of the corrosion. I know you"purists" are rolling your eyes- LOL! Don't worry. There is still enough there to keep the character of the ... morebottle. My feeling is that I do the bottle more justice to bring it closer to what it used to be ~ and most people who collect want them looking their best. I know you all have gotten"that" bottle before, the one with dirt so thick you can feel the grit and bottles filled with thick, gooey, stale perfume. If it is within my power you will never get a bottle like that from me! If you're looking for a show piece this is where I want you to come and browse. You will always find a variety of makers and styles. The burgundy bulb on this is new but completely removable if you want to change it out. There are no chips or cracks to the bottle. I do note a 3-4 pin-prick sized areas where a bubble has popped and a couple teeny carbon spots. It was only as I was photographing this bottle that I noticed each lobe has a different floral painting on it. I also think the white lobes used to have a fine gold design that has worn away with time. Just under the collar are gold painted flowers over a dark green background. The internal metal syphon tube is intact. You will feel puffs of air escape when the bulb is squeezed. This bottle is a bit larger. At 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/
