Up for sale is this glass perfume bottle. Made in Europe in the early 1920s. Plus or minus a decade. Can't date it exactly. The bottle is very elegant with a subtly aggressive design. Has a large base with interesting cut overall. The glass has an olive-green tint. The vaporizator is of the hand-pump type. The pump along with the hose is missing. There are spots on the metal parts. There are no cracks. Nor large dents on the glass. There are a few small areas of ruggedness and two scattered small dents along the edges of the glass cuts. Fittings are gold/brass tone and glass is VERY thick. I DO NOT know what perfume was originally in this bottle. There is residue of a brownish color along where the spray nozzle screws on to the bottle. There is a sticker on the bottom of glass but all writing has worn off and is illegible. Great old perfume bottle is clear with design on front. And silver/chrome top. Shoulder of bottle is about 1 1/4" and threaded silver of bottle top is about 1 7/8" It is a bit dirty as found, but no chips, cracks, or repairs. Red white& blue sticker on bottom says; M Paris; the round white sticker says nothing(worn off? between the two stickers, is the Baccarat logo etched in; outside of circle says: Marcel Franck, Made in France; inside the circle says: Baccarat France, and has a cruet with goblet t the left, and cup to the right. Bottle is 2 3/4" wide, and 1" deep. The chrome top is very interesting, and I have never seen one. Big disk pushes in to spray. Antique /Vntg PANELED GLASS & GOLD Perfume Bottle Pump Atomizer MADE IN FRANCE
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a gorgeous Perfume Bottle with pump style atomizer. The pump is stuck in the down position and I am not able to get it to twist and pop up. The bottles has lots of numbers and interesting marks around the collar and even on the inside. It is also stamped"Made in France" The gold tone metal is very bright and shiny. Just a few nicks to the metal lid down around the bottom edge. It still has the metal syphon tube connected inside the bottle. These work a little differently and the syphon tube is not attached to the lid so it does not come out of the bottle. It is actually attached to the mechanism inside the collar. It still has it's little twist cap and chain. The glass is clear and clean. Only a bit of dried perfume in the very bottom ... moreof the bottle. The bottle is in excellent condition and still has it's gold detail lines around each glass panel. Perhaps a bit of thinning to the gold but mostly intact. The are no chips, cracks or nibbles noted. The glass is of a nice thickness& heaviness- similar to that of Baccarat. I sold the"baby" bottle a few week back that matches this one ~ this is the"big sister" It is 5 1/4 inches tall and the base is 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
