From a local estate- Beautiful c1890 Silver Perfume or Scent bottle with repousse Art Nouveau floral design. The hallmarks are very tiny and difficult to read- 2 at the bottom edge and one on the lid or cap near the hinge(see last two photos) I believe they are French. The bottle contains its original tiny ground glass stopper and has a ring on the back for attaching to a chatelaine. Heavy for its size- will not easily dent. Weighs 18.8 grams. Measures 2 3/8 tall. Has a gold vermeil or gold wash inside the cap and stopper area. The bottle is in very good condition with few signs of wear. I found a few tiny dents- nothing that detracts or is easily noticed. Rare 19thc Scent Perfume Chatelaine Bottle French Cameo
Up for bid is a beautiful rare French Chatelain Scent bottle. It has a lovely carved cameo(carved from shell) It is of a lady and I was told she was most likely a prominent French lady. There are 4 red cabochons. 2 above her and 2 below her. There is also a red cabochon on the bottom. All these are pronged in. The body is gold gilt with a brass front. The sides have a beautiful leaf pattern. The back has a diamond pattern. It has a pink cabochon on the top of the lid. There is some blue and white fancy scrolled enameling to the cap which has dulled over the years. I was told not to touch them up. There is a chain that attaches from the body to the cap. Inside the bottle is a small glass vessel with its original glass dauber which fits perfectly indicating it is original to the bottle. The vial and dauber are in perfect condition. It measures ... more2 5/8 inches long, approx. 1 inch wide, and 3/8 inch thick. When you take the top off it is stamped made in France on the back of the neck. Overall the condition is great for its age. No breaks, cracks, missing stones or repairs. It is a very well made scent bottle. I am no expert in this and this is the information and history I was given when I purchased it. I was also told it was made in the 1870's to 1880's but could possibly be older than that. It is made of blown black glass and is shaped to be an acorn. You can see inside where the top where the pontil was broken off. The bottle it self measures app. 3" long. It has the original chain and ring. The brass cap hinge is good and opens and closes fine. It does have the three dents you can see in the photo. The top of the brass cap fits into a frame and it came out one time that I opened it when using just the top and did not open it holding the frame also but went back into place fine. This is an antique jeweled bottle with faceted cut garnets that are bezel set in the metal. I do not know if the garnets are real or glass. the stones are all org. and the same color with no damage. the bottle is clear crystal with high cut ridges like a zipper design. Antique /Vintage STERLING SILVER CHATELAINE Perfume Scent Bottle DAISIES ? MOSER
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! More photos to come… Up for auction is a beautiful art glass chatelaine with repousse sterling silver lid. I don't see a sterling mark but it did test as sterling with my home kit. It is decorated with delicate white daisies around the top half. There is still some gold highlights to the center of the daisies. I think the daisies were connected with thin gold lines but those have mostly worn away. If you hold it just right to the light you can see the faint outlines of where the gold stems were. The color of the glass is very light gray color. The glass is blown as you will notice a slight bulge toward the bottom tip. The very tip has been smoothed to a gentle point. I only found 1 nibble to the glass but is it among the daisies and hard to find. You will have ... moreto inspect it closely. I could not get it to show up when photographed. There is also a small. Shallow chip along the rim inside the lid which I think you can see in the photos. The sterling lid is hinged and the hinge is in excellent condition. The lid snaps closed and there is a little ring under the hinge for connecting to a chatelaine. I note a few tiny dents to the lid, nothing major. The bottle is very clean with just a tad of sediment or dust inside. It is 4 1/2 inches long/tall and about 3/4 inches wide up at the top, just under the lid. Rare Antique 19th Century 1850-1899 French Cameo Perfume Scent Chatelaine Bottle

It's a beautiful rare French Chatelain Scent bottle with an elegant carved shell cameo. The item has pronged purple gemstones throughout including four on the front. One on the bottom and one on the lid. I believe the body to be gold gilt with a brass front. The sides have a lovely leaf scrolling pattern while the back has a repetitive diamond pattern. There is a chain that is supposed to attach from the body to the cap, but it has come loose. This would be very easy to reattach. The bottle does not have a vile. Measurements are roughly 3/4 in W x 2" 5/8 L. The bottle is in great vintage condition other than the detached chain and mild tarnishing. Please feel free to ask questions.

This very impressive perfume bottle measures 4 1/2 inches long. The chain was used to attach this vinaigrette to a Victorian Chatelaine. It dates to the latter half of the 1800's. Curved bottle is green in color with classic Victorian gold painted flora and scrolls on front and back. The gold painting on the front frames a painted cherub. Original dauber is present. Victorian Edwardian Mother of Pearl Shell Chatelaine Perfume Scent Bottle
Mother of Pearl is in good condition. There may have been painting on one side at one time. Please look at the last photograph. Measures from base to finger hole approx 4 inches. The cork stopper most likely dried out and tore as it is partially in the top and the rest is in the bottle. I have not attempted to pry it out. But you can see it in photo 2. It is not rattling around. This is a used antique item. From a smoke free home. Please ask questions regarding this item before the ending day of auction.
