ITEM DESCRIPTION This auction is for a beautiful antique cut glass and silver scent bottle. Made in the last year of Queen Victorias reign. 1901- hallmarked thus to the collar. Maker is the very respected William Hutton& Sons. Measures 10cm tall. It needs some work as the hinge pin has broken internally- the hinge itself is not damaged so it just needs the pin removing and replacing. Other than that its in nice untouched antique condition with no major faults and the usual signs of age and authenticity. I am selling a few other nice pieces of silver. BOXED ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER CUT GLASS ORNATE SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE, HALLMARKED
Description: A fine antique 19th century French silver and cut glass scent bottle. The glass body features an exquisite all over zipper cut patterning. An ornate repousse of rocailles. Scrolling foliate and petite flowers encompass the silver lid and collar. A blank cartouche tops the hinged lid, opening to reveal a gilt vermeil interior and a cut glass stopper. Hallmarked with the wild boar's head, a French standard for.800/1000 silver. The mark was typically used on small objects of at least 80% pure silver content, close to.925 sterling. Also bearing an silversmith's mark, visible in the photos. Likely that of silversmith Charles Murat, active in 1897, whose workshop was located at 62 rue des Archives in Paris. The bottle is housed in the original presentation box with push button clasp opening to a fitted interior lined in green ... moresatin and velvet. In very good condition, the presentation box shows wear commensurate with age. Dimensions: Scent bottle measures 2 3/4" length. Fabulous cut vaseline glass bottle with silver cap.probably sterling although not marked. Excellent condition. But needing a pin for the lid/hinge otherwise great. Great color and sharp sharp work. Measures about 3 1/8" tall and 1 1/2" wide. Very solid for its size. The whole of it is cut and faceted. Insurance always included in shipping. The bottle has a fantastic repousse sterling ornamented top/lid and base with a clear cut glass. The sterling lid top has a STERLING 925 mark. The perfume bottle has a very extravagant, antiquated, and elegant feel to it. It measures 5 1/4" tall and 2" wide. The bottle is in very good condition except for that the lid has dent. 0.3. The Bottle is the only Mercury Glass example I have ever sold and one of the finest Victorian Perfume Bottles I have ever sold. The Bottle features a very nice Solid Silver Repousse Hinged Lid and mounts with the Body being cut in an amazing Optical Pattern giving the Mercury a wonderful appearance. The lid is unmarked as far as I can see but has been tested and is guaranteed to be at least 800 Grade(80% Pure) Solid Silver. The Bottle is in excellent all original condition. The pin in the hinge of the lid has broken off it needs to be removed and replaced but this can be done by any jeweler, I simply don't have time. There are no chips, cracks or repairs but we also could not remove the inner glass stopper. The Bottle is a large and impressive example measuring 4" long by 1-3/4" wide. This is a rare find for the collector of Perfume Bottles or Mercury Glass and I don't think you will find another up for auction any time soon, especially with no reserve! We can only guess now. It is completely hand cut. Every edge is cut and polished including the front and back face. Even the bottom foot was formed by cutting and polishing the glass. There is nothing untouched other then possibly the inside of the neck. I t may have had a stopper at one time. It s hard to tell. It has a musical instrument Motif. I'm guessing the happy couple may have been musicians. There is a violin. French horn(I think) snare drum, and parade drum. The inscription is Zum Andenken Von Josef& Miaria Gridl. Which stands for"In Memory of Von Josef& Miarfia Gridl" Condition is excellent with exception of the chip on the neck shown in photo. All in all, none of the crystal bodies have any major damage, just a very few fleabites on the bottle with a ball top. HUGE Antique Cut Glass 19thC Laydown Perfume Scent Bottle
Unusually large. Antique, 19thc cut glass laydown perfume/scent bottle. Brass lid. Measures 6 3/4” long, shoulders are roughly 1 1/4” across. I purchased it several years ago in an late 19thC- early 19thC house, stayed in 1 family all those years! I bought several from the estate, the mixed group was rock crystal and cut glass. I believe this is cut glass. Condition- excellent. Lid has a slight dent in it, hinge is excellent with no repairs. I didn’t find any chips, cracks, or repairs. There is some old, dried perfume inside. I didn’t try to clean it. Glass doesn’t look sick, it is clear. cents. They measure on the inside across 4. outside edges roughly 4 1/2. LARGE 19th C. AQUA CUT GLASS LAY-DOWN SCENT / PERFUME BOTTLE
Welcome to Antiques& Moore! This listing is for a beautiful and unusually large aqua cut glass lay-down scent or perfume bottle. C. 1875-1880. The bottle is made of brilliant aqua colored glass with an all-over cut design in a"daisy& button" pattern variation. Measures 7 1/8" long and 1 3/4" wide. There is a small ding under one of the flat surfaces in the design(second from bottom on side) and a few of the normal tiny no-harm nicks on some of the cut edges that are difficult to spot. No inner stopper. The lid may have originally been silverplated. However, the finish is worn and there are a few small dents. Hinge is in good condition and lid closes tightly. First thing I want to point out that it is marked sterling on the collar with a hallmark that looks a bet like a sword going thru the letter B. and numbers 8185. This is an antique jeweled bottle with faceted cut garnets that are bezel set in the metal. I do not know if the garnets are real or glass. the stones are all org. and the same color with no damage. the bottle is clear crystal with high cut ridges like a zipper design. The glass is clean clear healthy glass no residue. I really don't see any chips.but difficult to be exact with all the high cut edges. This is a chatelaine bottle and has a loop under the hinge. Vintage Cut Glass Scent Bottle or Perfume Bottle, Matched Pair Dresser Set
Up for your consideration is a matched pair of Antique Scent Bottles. These bottles are very large and elegant. They are Press Cut Glass. The pattern is Daisy Button. This pattern was very popular around the early 1900's. These bottles stand 5" tall with out the stopper and 6 3/4" tall with the stopper in place. Each side measures 2 1/2" across. Both bottles are in great shape. I only found a couple of flea bite nicks where the stopper goes in to one bottle on the inside rim. How ever both stoppers have small chips around the round part of the stopper where they go into the bottle. They can be seen when the stoppers are in place. It looks like they got stuck and someone tried to pry them out. They could be easily ground out. The top part of the stoppers are fine. This a nice set of sent bottles and you don't off see ... morethem for sale in sets. These would be great in any ones collection. This lovely antique perfume bottle is made of sterling silver and cut glass. The top features a large emerald colored crystal and there are 5 emerald colored crystals around the sides. Below the cap. The rim is marked Sterling and has a‘B’ with a sword through it which is a trademark for Blackington& Co. It is also marked with the number 8185. The lid closes with a snap and there is no stopper. The piece is in excellent condition and measures approximately 4 and 1/4 inches in length. The hand-cut glass is exquisite. The Victorian perfume bottle likely dates back to around the 1880’s and would be a nice addition to a collection or a nice piece to start a collection. This auction has no reserve.

I purchased it about 30 years ago and it is another thing I no longer need. I am not a glass expert and have taken many pictures so use the magnifier to inspect the bottle. It is in overall good condition with some roughness at the opening. A small fleabite lower edge of rim, probably some other flea bites if you use a magnifying glass, light surface scratches and scuffing, and other signs of expected light wear commensurate with age. I tried to find another like it so I could gauge the value but unable to find one on the web. It is a lovely little piece of history.

The bottle measures 4 1/2" tall and about 2 3/8" wide. It is marked on the silver neck"Sterling" next to a stamp that I can't make out. There are several chips on the bottom of the stopper. A couple on the bottom of the bottle, and a small area on one side that has some damage. In the enlarged photos you can see some leftover silver polish which wasn't visible to my naked eye. Here for bid is a beautiful. Clear cut-glass perfume/scent bottle from an age passed. In a nice size(5 1/2" including stopper, 6" around) it has lots of sparkle and a crisp, clean cut design. Stopper: I'm not sure this is the original stopper, but it suits the bottle. It has 2 tiny flea bites that are hardly noticable. Bottle: Looks in great condition, can't find even a flea bite anywhere. Such a nice piece. Bought recently at auction from a lovely woman's estate. She had beautiful taste and I bought several of her scent bottles. From a non-smoking home.

for your consideration is this lovely antique victorian perfume. Scent bottle. it is made of cut glass with a sterling silver repousse lid. i don't know the pattern of the glass except for the top part which is like a zipper. the only flaw i see is a very small chip on the outside cut glass part of the bottle. also, a very small dent in the lid. the lid is marked sterling with another mark that i do not know the origin. it could possibly be english. measurement of the bottle is 5 1/2 inches to the top of the lid. thanks for viewing.

REDUCED! ANTIQUE CUT GLASS CRYSTAL SCENT/PERFUME BOTTLE WITH STERLING TOP
Up for auction from my grandmother's estate is a very beautiful. Cut glass crystal clear perfume bottle with a Sterling Silver screw on dome shaped top. There are no chips or cracks in the glass and the crystal is shiny and clear(no cloudiness or wear whatsoever to the glass) The sterling top could be polished, but I did not polish as I liked the antique look to it. The screw dome top has a very small slit where it screws on to the bottle, but I tested it out and it does not leak with water in it. It is so small that you cannot even see it when the cap is on and it also screws on with ease and no damage to the sterling rim of the bottle. This perfume bottle measures 5 1/2 inches from the top of the dome lid to the bottom. It will stand up or lay flat on a table.This is a gorgeous piece of cut glass crystal from the late 1800's and ... morewould be a wonderful addition to a collection. Free shipping within the U.S.
