A mortar and pestle is a tool used to crush. PERFUME BOTTLE WITH BIG FAN SHAPED STAR BURST STOPPER Pressed & ground glass.
This is an old. Antique or vintage, I don’t know the age, perfume bottle. It is 4 ¾ inches high from bottle to stopper top, the bottle is 2 ¾ inches high and 3 ½ inches across the bottom; the stopper above the bottle is 2 ¼ inches high and 3 inches across– with the ground glass stopper it’s 3 inches high. The stopper has a pressed glass star burst pattern on the front and is smooth on the back. There are no chips, there are flaws from the original manufacture– little“warps” is only way to describe them. Questions and expertise are welcome. Only identifying mark is a barely visable clear sticker on the bottom that I think reads Made in Japan. The bottle has been used because there is a slight bit of residue on the bottom in one of the corners. The bit of damage I find is a small chip on the stopper. You can see it in picture#2. The bottle stands 3-1/2" tall with the stopper and 2" without it. The bottle is 2-1/4" at its widest point. This is a very pretty bottle with the glass dauber still attached to the stopper. Description A beautiful vanity or dressing table was once the epitome of style for the fashionable lady's home. Here is an antique pressed glass perfume bottle featuring a chubby cherub wrapped around a cornucopia. The bottle is narrow at the base and blossoms out at the top. The top of the rim is scalloped. The cherub is seen peeking around the side of the cornucopia. There is a flower that the cherub is standing. ANTIQUE PRESSED GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE WITH FLEUR DE LIS STOPPER This lovely perfume bottle is approx. 7.5 inches high and approx. 3 3/4 inches wide. It does not have any markings indicating the manufacturer but was probably made around 1900-1940. The glass is clean and clear with no damage or wear. But a very slight"shear" at the base of the stopper. see photo) It is really subtle and barely noticeable. The middle of the stopper has an oval medallion surrounded by a beaded pattern, while the body has a matching medallion and flared sides. This cut/pressed glass/crystal perfume atomizer reminds me of one my mother had in the 1940s. It is large(about 3" x 4" in the middle) and stands about 5" to the top of the metal part. The metal looks like it could be brass. But I am not sure. The rubber tubing and bulb are cracked with age/use, and I did not try to take the top off. It is nicely done, and I am listing it as found. This is a vintage glass perfume bottle with a 5" tall ornate ground stopper decorated with flowers. The bottle is 3" tall. Total measurement with stopper in bottle is 7 1/2" tall. It holds a bit over 1 oz. There are no chips or cracks. It is in excellent condition. It was used by my grandmother until she gave it to me several years ago. She got it in the 1930's. Up for auction is this beautiful free standing pressed glass perfume bottle/ drinking flask. This is approximately 4 1/2" tall x 3" across x 1 1/2" thick and in great condition. The top of the lid has what looks like a bouquet design on it which leads me to believe this is for perfume but it could be used for alcohol if desired. The lid fits tight and is lined on the inside with cork. The glass does have an air bubble and some slight wear on the high point of the body which you really have to look for to see.
