From a local estate- Beautiful c1890 Silver Perfume or Scent bottle with repousse Art Nouveau floral design. The hallmarks are very tiny and difficult to read- 2 at the bottom edge and one on the lid or cap near the hinge(see last two photos) I believe they are French. The bottle contains its original tiny ground glass stopper and has a ring on the back for attaching to a chatelaine. Heavy for its size- will not easily dent. Weighs 18.8 grams. Measures 2 3/8 tall. Has a gold vermeil or gold wash inside the cap and stopper area. The bottle is in very good condition with few signs of wear. I found a few tiny dents- nothing that detracts or is easily noticed. I guarantee it to be silver and not plated. The last two photos have a yellowish tint but that is just the way the light reflects and NOT there in real life. Rare 19thc Scent Perfume Chatelaine Bottle French Cameo
Up for bid is a beautiful rare French Chatelain Scent bottle. It has a lovely carved cameo(carved from shell) It is of a lady and I was told she was most likely a prominent French lady. There are 4 red cabochons. 2 above her and 2 below her. There is also a red cabochon on the bottom. All these are pronged in. The body is gold gilt with a brass front. The sides have a beautiful leaf pattern. The back has a diamond pattern. It has a pink cabochon on the top of the lid. There is some blue and white fancy scrolled enameling to the cap which has dulled over the years. I was told not to touch them up. There is a chain that attaches from the body to the cap. Inside the bottle is a small glass vessel with its original glass dauber which fits perfectly indicating it is original to the bottle. The vial and dauber are in perfect condition. It measures ... more2 5/8 inches long, approx. 1 inch wide, and 3/8 inch thick. When you take the top off it is stamped made in France on the back of the neck. Overall the condition is great for its age. No breaks, cracks, missing stones or repairs. It is a very well made scent bottle. I am no expert in this and this is the information and history I was given when I purchased it. I was also told it was made in the 1870's to 1880's but could possibly be older than that. The glass bottle was probably made to both lie down and stand up but the bottom of the bottle has some wear and it no longer can stand upright. There are a few little chips and flea bites to the bottom of the bottle but there are no other chips to the glass and it has a modest amount of surface wear. It is made of blown black glass and is shaped to be an acorn. You can see inside where the top where the pontil was broken off. The bottle it self measures app. 3" long. It has the original chain and ring. The brass cap hinge is good and opens and closes fine. It does have the three dents you can see in the photo. The top of the brass cap fits into a frame and it came out one time that I opened it when using just the top and did not open it holding the frame also but went back into place fine. There are no chips or scratches to the glass. Please check the photos and ask any questions.

Victorian pendant chatelaine perfume bottle and silver funnel
This Victorian chatelaine is a tiny perfume bottle with red. Navy, sky blue and white enameling and a green glass cabochon, mimicking green onyx. The glass has a slight inclusion on the side that was basically not noticed until the photos were done. The chatelaine has two rounded ends on either side for easily slipping in a chain so that it can be worn as a pendant. One side still has a copper tone circlet for just such a chain. The reverse is elaborately decorated in the Victorian style. Some French motifs seem to have escaped France and visited this charming bit of history. NOTE: Comes with a silver funnel for securely adding perfume to the bottle without spilling it. Funnel is Victorian as well. BOTH are offered for the starting price.

Antique /Vintage STERLING SILVER CHATELAINE Perfume Scent Bottle DAISIES ? MOSER
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! More photos to come… Up for auction is a beautiful art glass chatelaine with repousse sterling silver lid. I don't see a sterling mark but it did test as sterling with my home kit. It is decorated with delicate white daisies around the top half. There is still some gold highlights to the center of the daisies. I think the daisies were connected with thin gold lines but those have mostly worn away. If you hold it just right to the light you can see the faint outlines of where the gold stems were. The color of the glass is very light gray color. The glass is blown as you will notice a slight bulge toward the bottom tip. The very tip has been smoothed to a gentle point. I only found 1 nibble to the glass but is it among the daisies and hard to find. You will have ... moreto inspect it closely. I could not get it to show up when photographed. There is also a small. Shallow chip along the rim inside the lid which I think you can see in the photos. The sterling lid is hinged and the hinge is in excellent condition. The lid snaps closed and there is a little ring under the hinge for connecting to a chatelaine. I note a few tiny dents to the lid, nothing major. The bottle is very clean with just a tad of sediment or dust inside. It is 4 1/2 inches long/tall and about 3/4 inches wide up at the top, just under the lid. Antique Jeweled Garnet Red Sterling Laydown Perfume Bottle CUT Glass Chatelaine Up for auction I have a rare Chatelaine and a very beautiful Garnet red perfume bottle. cabochon stone at end of this hard to find bottle. The stone is Bezel set on ornate sterling hardware cap. This bottle is very artsy up as you can see in the photos. it has alot going on 4 different cuts in the glass 1. straight ridges 2. diamond 3. swirl& 4. panels The metal is marked sterling. the inside of the cap looks to be gold washed. the glass is clean and healthy. 2 things to point out: 1. It has a glass stopper and it is chipped on the top. fits the bottle nice and no problem. 2. I feel roughness on the edge of the side near top not chips but something.see the picture with the pencil pointing to it 2 different pics of the same area. Rare Antique 19th Century 1850-1899 French Cameo Perfume Scent Chatelaine Bottle
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This is a very old and unique item that is believed to be from the late 19th century. It's a beautiful rare French Chatelain Scent bottle with an elegant carved shell cameo. The item has pronged purple gemstones throughout including four on the front. One on the bottom and one on the lid. I believe the body to be gold gilt with a brass front. The sides have a lovely leaf scrolling pattern while the back has a repetitive diamond pattern. There is a chain that is supposed to attach from the body to the cap, but it has come loose. This would be very easy to reattach. The bottle does not have a vile. Measurements are roughly 3/4 in W x 2" 5/8 L. The bottle is in great vintage condition other than the detached chain and mild tarnishing. Please feel free to ask questions.
