You decide for yourself, and ignore my misleading guesses. All the drawer pulls match and there is a key for the biggest drawer. Antique 1800s hand Painted Flowers Miniature Chest Drawers Doll Dresser Jewelry
This nicely made 1860s-80s ash wood chest of drawers measures 12 ¼” tall x 13 1/8” x 7 ¼” deep and appears to have original. Untouched varnished surface overall. The top and each drawer are framed by red striping with sprays of flowers hand painted in the middle. Each drawer has sweet turned walnut knobs and all appear to be original. The sides have extra nice cuts and the back is of thin sawn pine. Construction overall is butt wire nail with glue and there are scattered old nail and glue repairs. All drawers work and have good sides and bottoms. This would make an excellent jewelry chest. WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO SHIP WORLDWIDE IF ALLOWED BY USPS. The surface of this fine commode is a vivid display of flowers and foliage on intermingling vines over a parquetry background. The mounts on either corner are heavily acanthus in nature, rather bold and conforming appropriately with the Rococo naturalism of the pulls and central apron motif. The sabots are typical for the style, very nicely cast and of appropriate substance for the size of the case. The castings are of medium fine detail, ranking above most peers of it's period in terms of chasing and filing of details. The craftsmanship is impeccable, the top revealing a mixture of tongue-in-groove and dovetail joinery while both drawers are crafted with large dovetails at the front and back joints using solid golden oak planks. Antique Child's 19th C. Primitive Mahogany Chest of Drawers-Folk Art- AAFA
Read all of this and look at all the photos. This little mahogany childs chest of drawers came out of a Boulder estate last week. All original. Nothing altered little chest is 10 1/16" back to front and 13 1/8" side to side, and 13 1/2" high, with the back splash 2 1/2" The alligator finish is irregular and has a water stain on the top. I didn't want to mess with it. This little gem looks like 1850 period and east coast origin. We do see things in Boulder from early Pennsylvania. Certainly no later than 1870. It has many hand cut small nails that have bled into the wood. The four drawers have been painted pink inside at a later period and measure app. 8 x 11 x 2 1/2. The lower left front rail is partially missing and the right back rail is missing. There is an old crack on the top. They really do not distract from ... morethe piece. The sides are slightly curved. The secondary wood is pine. Again. This is a wonderful little chest in unrestored condition that was likely made on a farm on the east coast 150 years ago. A very beautiful antique. Circa 1820, late Federal mahogany bow front gentleman's chest of drawers. The solid mahogany front corner posts legs are fluted and spooled, brass knobs on top drawers, four graduated drawers with original American spread eagle oval brass pulls. The stripped mahogany veneer drawer fronts have string inlay. Nice serpentine skirt around. Pine secondary woods. It measures 46-1/2" tall by 43" wide by 20-3/4" deep. Very good condition: original finish, some finish wear spots on top surfaces. Both side panels with shrinkage cracks, front left foot with crack glue repairs. Includes the key, brass keyholes, and all locks(oddly the lowest drawer never had a lock.

19th Century Chest of Drawers This is a fantastic piece of historical furniture. This is a chest of drawers or dresser from the early to mid 1800's. It appears to be constructed primarily of walnut wood. There are several distinguishing features that influence our opinion as to the date of this piece: The dresser was constructed with square-head nails. Which were used from the late 1700's to the late 1800's. It is constructed of solid-wood boards measuring up to 16" in width. Which could only have been made from very large trees long ago. The dovetails used to construct the front and back of the drawers are all hand-cut. The smallest drawer has 3 tails and 4 pins. And the larger drawers have up to 5 tails and 6 pins. The drawer bottoms are chamfered, meaning the front and side edges and the drawer bottoms are finished at ... morea slop. While the inside top of the drawer is flat. This was cut and finished by hand-held tools, which is an indication that it is pre-1840. All of the saw cuts in the wood appear to be parallel rather than circular. This indicates the use of mill saws during construction. The wood also appears to be hand-planed. The dresser features turned-wood pulls. Which we believe to be original. It also has paneled sides, which was a feature in many early Philidelphia chests of drawers. This piece is in good. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There is a significant crack in the drawer second from the top. It is still structurally sound. All of the drawers have locks, but we do not have the matching key. This piece has cracks, wear, chips, discoloration and repairs that are consistant with a piece of this age. The"flaws" only contribute to the primateive nature of this chest of drawers. They quietly tell the stories of its life. The dresser measures 45 7/8" tall by 42 5/8" wide by 20" deep. The drawer faces are all 36" wide. Antiques An amazing example of fine mid Victorian American craftsmanship- a small. Correct to scale model of a chest of drawers in wonderful Birdseye maple veneer. Everything is to scale down to the hand turned pulls, drawer locks, bun feet, etc. The secondary wood inside the drawers is mahogany. Note that the chest is stepped- 2 drawers up and down. The two sections are held together with screws. And the back of the chest is covered with a beveled walnut panel. Note the finger jointing on the drawers. The top, middle and base edges are beautifully molded and finished, including the rounded corners. Nice mellow age patina. The back panel and the two halves of the chest can be removed with 8 screws. This exceptional piece was likely a salesman sample or an apprentice piece. But could have been made for a child. It also would serve well as ... morea jewelery chest. This has been in my family for many years. A Victorian era(1880) three drawer chest. We moved it here when we relocated from England a few years ago and now is the time to let it go. We believe it to be oak, but it's clearly the same wood throughout, marked with a capital FP(Frederick Pierce) on the reverse. It has all original handles and a simple carved topstop at the rear. The warm patina of the mahogany has a satin luster that would mesh well with most decorating styles. The outward bow of the facade brings an element of brightening elegance to any setting. The two-on-three style drawers provide a great deal of storage. All of the drawers come equipped with all-brass hardware and lock escutcheons. However there is no key. The edges of the drawers are ... moredecorated with a fine bead molding. Just under the top molding is a handsomely inlaid double end spear design done from satinwood string inlay. The piece sits on a pair of very sturdy shaped bracket feet. The dresser is around 145 years old and in good condition overall. The drawers open easily and shut tight. The brass pulls are fastened securely to the drawers although they are not original to this antique dresser. There is a small chip in one as pictured. The mold around the top has been repaired on all sides. There is also a strong repair on the front right foot. You will find some separation marks in the darker spots on both sides and along the front moulding. There are signs of character building wear on the entire piece and the top has a number of light marks and stains. The pictures are a great representation of the condition.
