Someone had the chairs reupholstered in a fabric that, in our opinion, leaves a lot to be desired, and in a nice dark oak stain. Back to the upholstery, they heavily cushion these chairs upholstered them attached the upholstery, but then they didn’t put the gimp around the edge on the fabric bottom of the chairs to give it that nice finished look. But it’s very easy to do this yourself. There are a lot of videos online that show you how to upholster chairs and trim chairs like these. It’s very simple, and my daughter did this kind of upholstery for years here in the shop when she was a teenager. It’s a great, fun project.

I don’t like to always say this, but it resembles a piece from Horner although I don’t believe it to be made by Horner. It is certainly a high-end quality piece. It has an extra heavily 1.25 bevel edge mirror that swivels and is in good condition. The mirror is wrapped around by a solid brown mahogany frame with carvings all the way around, rope twist going up and the very top corners having angels carved in both sides. The base has a beautiful rose quartz bevel edge marble top. The miniature knobs on the base look like miniature doorknobs.

The rocker is made of solid wood, with a woven Rattan seat that is very good condition and may have been redone at some point. There are some light dings and scratches to the finish. The rocker is a small size, but I am not sure if it's quite small enough to be for a child. It has an extended splat running vertically in between the spindles, which is more of a Windsor style and an unusual design for a rocking chair.
