There are some worm holes, so I know it has some good age, and spent a good portion of its life in Europe. The top is a more modern needlepoint with a petit-point flower center. beautiful colors. There are a few stitches of the needlepoint missing and a tiny tear in one corner(not noticeable at all) The underside shows the age and construction of the wood. you can see the very old glue holding the hand made joints together. You can tell that the legs are all hand carved because they are slightly different and not perfectly matched machine made. You will love this piece. its a real gem!

It stands on high straight ball bottom legs, and ending in acanthus leaf carving at the top. Main body is rectangular, a large curved glass door, kind they don't make anymore, and two window sides. Door has its original lock and key. There is one glass shelf, and below is fabric covered shelf of the same size. The curio has a mirrored back, adding charm to pieces on display. The piece is fitted for lights, but as the electrical wires are old, we suggest that you change them before use, as it is sold as non working. This I must say is a beautiful cabinet. An antique. Circa 1890's- 1900's, light olive painted hardwood Louis XVI style chest of drawers. There are applied laurel and berry, bellflowers, rosettes, and bandings. Five of the drawers retain the original gilt metal pulls, escutcheons, and locks, the top drawer with new replaced brass knobs, missing the lock, no key. Drawer interiors of oak. The top has a polished, beveled, beautiful mottled marble slab. Chest measures 56" tall by 34" wide by 19" deep. Very good condition: original paint finish with minor flakes, no cracks or chips to case boards. Marble very fine. A very finely made antique. Circa 1800, French Empire mahogany veneers and solid mahogany dressing mirror in classical architectural form. Two pillars with ormolu mounts to the plinths and capitols support the pediment with lily of the valley wreath ornament. The ogee frame with holds the swivel original glass mirror with original back silvering. The mirror frame with glass is removable for shipment. case has a dovetailed drawer with ormolu wreath and knob. The drawer interior is quartersawn oak. The case secondary wood is maple. Measures 37-1/2" tall by 27-3/4" wide by 14-1/4" deep. Excellent condition: original finish without wear, boards without cracks or chips. 5-1/2" horizontal tight crack to veneer on top of case, and faint cracks to veneer on front very right top corner. Tiny veneer chips to back bottom edge right ... moreside. Ormolu finish bright without dulling or spots. Mirror without damage.
