Selling a pair of salt and pepper shakers made by the Hobbs. Brockunier& Co. around 1886. Am not sure if they are considered peach blow or coral. The shakers are pictured in the Hobbs book on page 81. The shakers themselves are in good condition with no damage. I do not know if the tops are original to the shakers but they were on them when I purchased them. One of the lids is still on the shaker. The other lid must be plastered on for use. Offered is a pa ir of mold-blown crystal shakers with curved vertical ribbing. They were ma nufactured by Mc Kee and Bros. circa 1880. They are considered very scarce. I believe these are the original metal tops. Which are in very good antique condition with no cra cks. The rims of the shaker s have the usual rough rims; however. One also has a chip which makes the cap a bit loose, but both caps still remain on and are functional. Height is about 3 1/4" I use bubble wrap and packing peanuts with all fragile items. Each is 3" high and each has its old original stars and stripes type hole designs top screw on lid. Set looks perfect and it appears to me they were never used. The only minor thing is a bruise or glass abnormalty on the top edge of one of the shakers seen only when the lid is removed. Its a trivial issue at best. Pair of glass salt and pepper shakers cube cut, metal caps very nice
A very nice set of glass salt and pepper shakers. Metal lids. Not sure what the metal is, not silver though. They are in good condition with some evidence of use. But no chips or cracks. They weigh over 7 ounces together and are 3.75" tall. I am not sure of the age of the set. But they came from an estate sale where there were many vintage items. I just thought they were unique and regal looking. Thanks for looking. Right off the bat I want to state that I've done a lot of research on this cutie but have only come away with lots of confusion. Measuring with original pewter lid this shaker stands approximately 5 inches tall and measures approximately 2 3/4 inches at the base. Including lid. It weighs 11.8 ounces on my postal scale. It has what I always thought was a telltale sign of hand blown glass having the little rough feeling indention circle on the bottom of the shaker. When I run my finger on the inside of the glass. This is a very old salt and pepper set. The set is lead crystal glass it has a cut zipper design as well as hand designed double diamond. The glass was hand blown with pontil rod nub where it was cut off. the top of one jar was not finished and is rough The tops appear to be copper. Or may have been gold plated copper. They are corroded, particularly the big holes top. It was also smashed in top with a tear in the metal. These caps are very soft metal The jars are 3 1/2" tall. 1 1/2" at bottom. Glass is very nice. But each jar is slightly different, double diamonds, so it was made by hand.very early, I do not know age but I would think 1830-1850's I have other old salt and pepper set. Cranberry glass MUFFINEER sugar cinnamon shaker EPNS Victorian late 1800s NICE!

This is a nice vintage muffineer in cranberry glass very popular at the turn of the last century. It was blown in mold with 12 panel sides and has a ground polished base. The base is 55m and the total height is 140mm. The top is marked E.P.N.S. for electroplated nickel silver but any plating has long since worn away. The knob on the top is solid but slightly cocked. I see many of these actually missing this knob. It fits snugly on the metal rim capping the glass bottle. There is one 3mm chip on one edge of a flute. There are some minor"flea bite" chips when I run my finger around the bottom edge. A traditional"muffineer" is for sprinkling sugar or cinnamon on things like. Muffins. And ... morethere you have it. Retail antique dealers are offering these for $145 to $175. I see similar examples have SOLD on e-bay for $65 to $85. I am also offering this with: FREE TRACKING. Here are 2 fabulous salt holders that each have a spoon. I believe the marking is R& W. There is some sort of mark next to it which I think means sterling silver(3 small stamps in a row) The spoons are marked the exact as the holders. I do not know the age but they seem to be quite old. The cut glass is in good shape. The silver tops have slight dents here and there. Spoons and tops could use a nice polishing. They measure about 1 1/4" across and 1" tall. Spoons are 1 3/4" long. Rare Antique Thomas Webb Cameo Glass Open Salt Dip
Listed is a rare antique Thomas Webb cameo glass open salt dip. The exterior is a beautiful satin finished blue with applied white leaf and berry decoration on the body and a white band and dentate rim. The interior has a shiny smooth finish. It measures approximately 1 5/8” tall and 2” in diameter. The applied decoration is in excellent condition. The base has a smooth. Satin pontil. The rim has one chip less than 1/8” in size(especially visible in photos 1, 2, and 4) and a less visible bruise on the rim on the opposite side less than ¼“ at its widest(upper right in photo 5, front center in photo 6) There are some very tiny flea bites on the interior and exterior rim. This is a very desirable, rarely seen piece. Being hand made, most antiques will have minor flaws that occur during the making.
