The bowl has a hairline and associated small chip as shown- the lid is fine. NOTE. Pictures taken in sun and shade- please look at all the pictures below. Mrs. Mary Morrison. Was a collector, former museum curator and lecturer on Asian art at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She also played an important role in creating the Canadian Society for Asian Arts which got its start in Vancouver in 1968. Over her lifetime, she collected a fabulous collection of Chinese antiques, mostly snuff bottles, and porcelain. Most of her pieces were collected between the 1940's- 70's in England and North America. We were lucky enough to purchase some of the nicer pieces which we are offering on ebay. All the items are completely authentic. Authenticated by Ms. Morrison, and also vetted by ourselves. This is a rare opportunity to buy pieces collected over a lifetime, and kept until death, by an expert on Chinese porcelain. There are no makers marks or names that I can find, ... moreso I'm hesitant to say that it is made of actual silver. It is non-metallic, and so intricate that it's hard to imagine that anything else was used, but I can't say for sure. No breaks or cracks at all in the mesh work. Elephants were used to help adorn it, so guessing maybe from India. The chain that connects the lid to the cylinder has a loose link that is still present. Up for your consideration is this fantastic salt and pepper set. The set is hand blown and cut glass and the bottom is polished smooth. The bottom edges are beveled. They are quality made and probably made for the upper class deck. They are both hand painted with two flags. I tried to research them. But no luck. One of the flags is blue with a red cross and white star. The other flag is green and looks like it has a letter"A" There is blue trim painted on the top rim and bottom rim, as well as the lid. The lids are all glass. They are roughly 2-1/2" tall. There are nibbles here and there and the inside rims both have a few chips that are not seen when the lids are on. There is also some paint wear. I have for auction this beautiful pair of antique glass salt& pepper shakers. They remain in lovely condition with the original lids; the lids are slightly dented& tarnished but overall condition is great. The glass is opaque but has a slight opalescence when light shines through. Delicate hand painted floral motif on each piece. The lid of the pepper unscrews properly. But the lid on the salt is stuck. I could find no maker's mark on either piece. The salt measures 4 1/8" high, the pepper is 2 5/8" high. Exquisite, highly collectible set. This is a very old salt and pepper set. The set is lead crystal glass it has a cut zipper design as well as hand designed double diamond. The glass was hand blown with pontil rod nub where it was cut off. the top of one jar was not finished and is rough The tops appear to be copper. Or may have been gold plated copper. They are corroded, particularly the big holes top. It was also smashed in top with a tear in the metal. These caps are very soft metal The jars are 3 1/2" tall. 1 1/2" at bottom. Glass is very nice. But each jar is slightly different, double diamonds, so it was made by hand.very early, I do not know age but I would think 1830-1850's I have other old salt and pepper set. This auction is for 2 antique Victorian Wavecrest square salt and pepper shakers with 2 part lids and floral decoration. One shaker has purple flowers. The second shaker has multi-colored flowers. They measure about 3" tall X 1 1/2" across. They are in good condition with no chips or cracks- there is some period wear on the metal lids. Pair Crystal Pressed Glass Salt Pepper Shakers MOP Sterling Lids + Stand
This is a nice old pressed glass set of Salt& Pepper shakers with sterling silver and mother of pearl lids in a handled stand. The shakers are 3" high X 1 1/2" in diameter at the base. The pattern on the sides is zippers and X's and the bases are ground and polished. There are a couple very tiny fleabites on the sides that do not show; the inside glass rim of the shakers has some chipping; the sterling on the lids has denting. The stand has a bubble in the glass at the top of the handle(from the manufacturer) which does not show in the photos. This item weighs 2 3/4" pounds safely packed for shipment. Stunning Vintage Crystal Glass Teardrop Salt And Paper Shakers W Glass Lids!
These are absolutely gorgeous! I found these at the estate of an antique collector and they were displayed in a fabulous china cabinet. They are unmarked but I believe these to be from the early 1900's. They have a beautiful and uncommon tear-drop shape and they include the original glass topper. There are some minor chips on the pepper shaker lip but you won't notice it because the lid will cover it. Very tiny Knicks on the edge of the salt shaker. I will describe the etched design a floral with leaves. These are made of clear glass. I do not see any numbers or a maker's mark. The lids are made of some sort of metal with the top part being Mother of Pearl. There is some green on the inside of the lids. I'm sure a good cleaning would take care of it. I see nothing that I would consider damage.no chips. Cracks or breaks. There are a couple of lines on the MOP part of the pepper shaker, but I'm quite sure that is a natural flaw. The edges of the rim on each have some rough spots. However, I think this is a natural flaw as well. You might notice in my photos that the rim of the salt shaker is slanted. The larger of the two also has a slight blueish color hue, while the other is crystal clear. Both could use a good cleaning, but are otherwise in excellent condition. They are both 3-1/8" tall. Lot of 3 Antique Unmatched Cut Glass Salt Shakers w/glass lids
All 3 of these salt shakers are very beautiful. But each has one or more flaws. The shaker with the flower design near the top is in the best condition, with one very small chip in the screw lip. Next in condition is the wider of the three, with a very small chip in the base and a very small chip in the screw lip. The shaker in the worst condition, the tallest one, has a significant chip in the screw lip, a chip in the lid, and a large crack in the lid. I would not recommend any but the first one to be placed in actual use. The photos show these pieces to have a blueish color hue, but they are all clear glass. All three would make very nice display pieces since their flaws are either difficult to see or are easily hidden with proper display. Because of their flaws. They have a very simple multi faceted designs on them. The lids are both metal but do not match. They appear to be the same age but do not have the same designs. One lid is in great shape aside from a few very small dents, The other is a little rough. It has been bent on the side which caused a crimp. That crimp is open. The same thing has happened on a small area on top where the holes are. Both lids screw on and off smoothly. No markings on either. Dimensions are 3" tall and base is 1 1/2" in diameter. 4 Sets Antique Salt & Pepper Shakers/Sugar/Talc//Spice Jars with Brass Lids
I purchased these 43 years ago at an antique auction near Buffalo. NY. I am guessing they are from a fancy motel. However I have never been able to find any information on them other than them being pre 1910. I used them as spice jars. I have four sets plus one extra( nine total) and a couple of extra brass tops(the two extra lids in the photos are the ones that are somewhat polished) As shown in the pictures the shaker glass jars are marked with a L& F- some the marks are clearer than others. One is marked with a five point starburst in a circle but no letters. Some of the shakers show air bubbles which I tried to show in the photos. The brass lids show normal wear considering their age as do the tops with the perforations for salt and pepper. I found it perplexing that the glass shakers are marked with L& F on the bottom and it ... moreappears that the Art Nouveau monogram on the brass lids appear to be L& F as well. Offering this nice set of salt and pepper shakers. They are clear heavy glass crystal with etched wheat pattern and shaped similar to a bell. They each have chrome metal lids. They are approx. 3 3/4" tall and bottom is 2 1/8" across. There are no maker marks. So maker is unknown although I am leaning towards Susquehanna crystal. I am not sure of this though. Condition is very good to excellent pre-owned. They appear to be vintage. They have a shiny finish with very little signs of pre-ownership. No chips. Cracks, major scratches, or signs of repair. The water drops if noted in pictures are because I had just washed them. They do look a bit hazy when not completely dry. The lids screw on and off as they should. Pair Antique Victorian Opaque Blue Salt & Pepper Shakers w/Original Lids
Up for auction is a pair of antique Victorian blue opaque salt and pepper shakers with the original lids. They have a raised scroll leaf design. I don't know the name of the pattern. The salt shaker has wear rubs on some of the high points on the scrolls. Both shakers have some chippage around their rims. The lids have turned dark with age and the salt shaker has some salt residue in the holes. There are no dents. Bends or breaks in the metal lids. There were no other problems. The shakers stand 3" high with the lids on and measure about 2 1/2" across at their widest points. These old Victorian pieces were not marked. This is a nice pair. 0237H0099

A rare pair of antique Gayner Glass Works of New Jersey cobalt blue vertical ribbed salt and pepper shakers with adjustable metal lids. Found at an estate sale. The excellent condition shakers date to the 1920s, and measure 1 3/4 inches across x 4 inch tall with lids. The glass shakers have heavy bottoms, and are signed with a"G" in a circle. The screw-on lids have a tiny raised lever that will slide to open and close the shaker holes. They have a burnished finish to them, so if they did have a chrome or silverplate finish in the past, it has worn off. No idea of age and origin, as they were found at an estate sale.
