The salt lid looks like someone couldn't open it, and used some sort of tool to grip the lid, causing little dents on opposite sides of the lid, just above the threads. The salt shaker also has a couple of very tiny flakes at the edge of the base, and the pepper shaker has a little bump just above the bottom, which occurred in the molding of the glass. These shakers were molded, then cut, and there are several very tiny imperfections in the making, which can be seen with close examination using a magnifying glass. Some of these are shown in the photographs, but they are hard to see. If you have any questions. Or need more information, please don't hesitate to ask before bidding. A very pretty set of Antique Art Deco Cut Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers. Measure 4 3/4 inches tall. The bases are 4 sided with a slight pyramid shape and a deeply cut design. In very good antique condition. With no cracks. There is one small chip on the bottom edge of one shaker. And two small chips on the bottom edge of the other- please see photos for details. There are a few bubbles in the old glass. But it remains very clear. There is one bubble right on the surface of one shaker. And slight variations in the hand cuts from one shaker to the other. The lids have neat finials on top. And both do have some corrosion-please note in photos. As well. The lids are chrome plated. A very attractive set and a great addition to your collection. Up for auction is a pair of carnival art glass. Imperial Glass, Salt and Pepper Shakers. These are old pieces in great vintage condition. Each shaker features original faded gold trim and crystal/art glass bases. As you can tell by the pictures the set is beautiful and is in great shape. ALL THREE SETS HAVE ISSUES WITH THE TOPS. AND TWO SETS HAVE SOME DAMAGE TO THE GLASS. THESE COULD BE USED, BUT THEY WOULD BE BEST FOR DISPLAY. The condition is fair to good. There are chips in the base of the tallest set. There is wear to the glass edges of the"roundest" set. The sunflower set has nice glass. All three sets have issues with the tops. There are dents. Cracks, and holes in the tops. One set has one top with damaged mother of pearl, on the rest, the pearl is okay. All tops fit tightly and they could be used. The tallest set is 3 1/8" high. The next set is 3" high, and the smallest set is 2 3/4" high. The areas ... moreof concern show clearly in the photos. So please look closely at the photos as they are the best way to make your own assessment of condition. VTG ANTIQUE CRYSTAL SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS SET HAND CUT W/GLASS TOPS 4 1/4 " TALL
This lovely old salt& pepper shaker set measure approximately 4 1/4 inches tall. I believe they are hand cut crystal. Screw on tops are also made of glass. Nice snug fit. I washed them out with mild soap but some of the pepper residue remains. Perhaps you'll have better luck. Very nice vintage condition. Too! I have looked carefully& can see a few(maybe 3? tiny dings.
