Japan Hand Painted Meito ME1371 Gold Encrust Salad Plate & Salt,Pepper Shaker
You are bidding on a beautiful vintage pattern of Meito china made in Japan. The pattern#ME1371 is of gold encrusted flowers and scrolls. Cream rim. This is for the one lovely 7-3/4in size salad or dessert plate and two pepper and one salt shakers. There are two patterns I found which have very similar design. One has the two white flowers. This similar pattern I found is ME 1371 but has only one white flower and scrolling under it which this plate has as you will notice in photos# 2&3. The pattern was discontinued in 1936 and is very hard to find in this excellent condition. Photo#5 is the back stamp which says Meito China Made in Japan Hand Painted. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The plate has a break in the gold rim as shown on photo#3. The two pepper and one salt shakers are perfect"go alongs" with the Meito china. ... moreThey are gold encrusted and clearly marked on the bottom, Made in Japan. The art of Khokhloma originated in the 17th century in the Volga-river region. This is a vintage Japanese salt or pepper shaker. It has pretty light and dark pink rose pattern with green. It is 2-3/4" high. The bottom is unmarked but it looks like Nippon to me and it still has its cork. It is in nice shape with no chips or cracks but it does have some gold loss.

For your consideration are these beautiful vintage 1960's Hand Cut Lead Crystal Pepper Mill and Salt Shaker set by Post House. These are pretty heavy lead crystal glass with diamond pattern features. The pepper mill has small chips on the bottom(see pics) the salt shaker is in very good condition no chips or nicks, the cap on the salt shaker seems to be stuck, caps are Gold tone and in good condition with minor scratches, they both measure 4 3/4" tall, the glass 2 3/8" at its widest point, the base is 1 1/2" diameter. set of 3 shabby vintage ca 1920's light weight. Screw top aluminum salt& pepper shakers. 3" tall& a flour(or cinnamon sugar) shaker. 3-1/2" tall- charmingly painted robins egg blue& with pink& white flowers with green leaves- the undercoat paint of off-white is visible under some of the flakes- unmarked. Condition: It is in very good. Used, vintage, antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The cork plug in the bottom had a piece break off as I was trying to push it in further because it was sticking out too far for it to sit flat. It still needs to be pushed in(or removed) a little.
