ONE(1) PAIR Vintage Pressed Glass Salt& Pepper Shakers. These feature Sterling Silver with Mother of Pearl tops. Hallmarks: 925" SLL" middle L is very large) Sterling" I'm not familiar with this particular marker, most likely American made based on style of the hallmark. Each measures approx. 3-1/8" tall. These are used& in good condition. I noted a small chip on the edge of one of the shakers. This type of shaker often has very beat up sterling portions, these ones are pretty good though with only one showing two tiny subtle dings. It has what I always thought was a telltale sign of hand blown glass having the little rough feeling indention circle on the bottom of the shaker. When I run my finger on the inside of the glass. Antique Salt Shakers Pressed Glass Lot of THREE RARE Patterns
These three gorgeous salt shakers date early 1990s and are being sold as a lot as I am helping a friend disperse her collection. The lot includes: Co-op pattern dated 1908 with which we believe is the original top-excellent condition. Photos 2.3,4) Wheel and Comma pattern with no top. The'comma' has broken off one of the handles(photos 5. 6, 7, 8) The rim is very rough with a small chip. This was used and needs a good cleaning. Wheel of Fortune pattern with original top. Great condition except the glass is cloudy and needs a good cleaning. These patterns were all verified with Glass Salt Shakers by Arthur G. Peterson. Pair Crystal Pressed Glass Salt Pepper Shakers MOP Sterling Lids + Stand
This is a nice old pressed glass set of Salt& Pepper shakers with sterling silver and mother of pearl lids in a handled stand. The shakers are 3" high X 1 1/2" in diameter at the base. The pattern on the sides is zippers and X's and the bases are ground and polished. There are a couple very tiny fleabites on the sides that do not show; the inside glass rim of the shakers has some chipping; the sterling on the lids has denting. The stand has a bubble in the glass at the top of the handle(from the manufacturer) which does not show in the photos. This item weighs 2 3/4" pounds safely packed for shipment. Very pretty cut or pressed shakers with polished botttoms. The Rectangular one with glass lid measures 2 1/2" tall with lid removed. Not sure but this might be pressed glass. Vintage Tall Salt & Pepper Shakers Clear Pressed Glass Unusual "Tower" Art Deco
These vintage. Pressed glass salt& pepper shakers have a distinctive and different sculptural Art Deco shape and are tall(called"tower" design) at 6 1/4 inches. At that scale, they were probably designed for a larger table, set for eight or more. The glass pattern, vertical ribs with indents running horizontally, plays up the shine and dazzle. See the close-up photos. They are like small sparkly sculptures that don't need a dinner party to be shown off. The glass is a"warm" shade. Rather than bluish, and therefore these look beautiful with oak and vintage linens, such as ecru crocheted tablecloths. These shakers have a heavy base making them feel substantial in your hand. They are stylish and have a presence on a table. I always got comments on them. The caps appear to be copper overlaid with silver. And the salt ... morecap does have some slight bluish tinge on the interior and a little around the holes; the copper is visible in a thin line around the bottom edge. I have used them for years and did not notice it until I was photographing them. There are some slight scratches on the interior of the salt cap. Three cut glass or pressed glass(can't tell) salt/pepper shakers. One has a mother of pearl lid. Possibly silver but not sure. All have glass maker's shear marks on rims(very common and very normal for this era shakers) I don't see any cracks or chips. Lids are in fair condition for the age. Presenting for bid. A clear glass shaker. The glass is in excellent condition, but the top has three cracks and a chip in it. Strangely, the black fabric that I used, in an effort to show up the design in the fabric made the top to appear almost antique brass in appearance. Up for bid is a very old pressed glass sugar shaker. It is square and has the same design on all 4 sides. The top could be silver plate, but there are no marks. It has an etched makers mark on the bottom, but I was not able to make it out. It stands 6 1/2" tall and has no major chips or cracks. The bottom is a little rough with use scratches and flea bites and under a black light, is shows a very pale green. Beautiful addition to your collection. Welcome to my auction for this vintage set of salt and pepper shakers. They are made of a heavy milk glass with a pressed design of a sunflower and drape pattern. Pic#1 shows the front/back design on left and side design on right. They are about 3.25" tall and 1.5" across. The lids are showing normal checking from the salt through the years. 19th century pressed white milk glass basket pattern pepper shaker. Hand painted with stylized flowers and leaves. It has a two-tone color of brown for the basket pattern bottom and a yellow base color around the shoulder. The top is likely pewter, threads tightly on to neck and a nice original form. The interior top of the neck has flakes done during the“crack-off” from the pontil rod. It stands 3 inches high. Vintage 19th century patina, it is in very good condition.
