This rare charger is very attractive with a sharply molded embossed design on the front with a basketweave design to the surface. It is getting more and more difficult to find this early salt glaze pottery from the eighteenth century as it is brittle and does not survive 275+ years very well. This example is in As Found condition as it was broken in half and is nicely mended with glue, so that the repair is barely visible from the front. Listed is a rare antique Thomas Webb cameo glass open salt dip. The exterior is a beautiful satin finished blue with applied white leaf and berry decoration on the body and a white band and dentate rim. The interior has a shiny smooth finish. It measures approximately 1 5/8” tall and 2” in diameter. The applied decoration is in excellent condition. The base has a smooth. Satin pontil. The rim has one chip less than 1/8” in size(especially visible in photos 1, 2, and 4) and a less visible bruise on the rim on the opposite side less than ¼“ at its widest(upper right in photo 5, front center in photo 6) There are some very tiny flea bites on the interior and exterior rim. These three gorgeous salt shakers date early 1990s and are being sold as a lot as I am helping a friend disperse her collection. The lot includes: Co-op pattern dated 1908 with which we believe is the original top-excellent condition. Photos 2.3,4) Wheel and Comma pattern with no top. The'comma' has broken off one of the handles(photos 5. 6, 7, 8) The rim is very rough with a small chip. This was used and needs a good cleaning. Wheel of Fortune pattern with original top. Here is a Wonderful set of Antique Glass Salt and Pepper shakers with the Original Zinc lids. A Antique blue and black Slag Glass Swan, and a Antique Opalescent Tooth Pick Holder. That's right you get all four pieces for One price. The Salt and Pepper shakers have the original Zinc lids. And are from the 1880s. They were blown into molds and the tops were ground down leaving the normal manufacturer flea bites. The Perfect his and hers set. Challinor, Taylor& Co 2 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" tall. The Rare Pattern Slag Glass Swan is from the 1880s and is in perfect shape. There is a drip spot on the edge of the lid shown in photos. It is very normal to see this manufacturing flaw with all slag glass. Challinor. Taylor& Co 6" wide x 6" tall. The Opalescent Tooth Pick Holder is from 1890 to 1920. There is a small chip ... moreat the shoe of the figure. Due to the crude early manufacturing process a lot of these chips are from the factory. When you had extra glass that was outside of the normal mold it just be chipped away. 3 1/2" tall x 3" widest. Collectors this is the real deal. Rare Pattern Slag glass Swan Compote.
