The knife and fork serving set has a little scratching and tiny bites but very nice sterling handles and definitely useable unless you want them for scrap. The group of jewelry not counting the package of sterling beads and the two charms still on the cards weighs 195 grams or 6.9 ounces and the full group with the serving pieces weighs 390 grams or 13.8 ounces. The group of jewelry includes: Twelve bracelets all marked as sterling. A few with little charms, and two of them so long that they might be anklets. One is a bangle. Two nice old necklace chains, one with a large and very pretty pendant. All are marked as Sterling. Seven pairs of sterling earrings, all marked as sterling, one vintage clip and the rest for pierced ears. Six rings, five of them marked as sterling and the other verified by a jeweler. One has a pretty cultured pearl. A little spoon, Chinese I think with a pagoda shape at the top, marked Sterling on the back. Eight sterling charms or pendants, two of them on their original cards, five that are a golden color with sparkling white stones in them, and a double heart pendant or charm. Fifteen 3mm sterling silver beads for making jewelry, still in their original package. The knife and fork serving set are marked GHF Sterling. The handles have a nice. Solid feel to them, a few scratches and bites from age but overall a very nice set. The knife measures 12 1/4" long and the fork measures 9 1/8" long. The knife blade and for top say Stainless. The sterling jewelry group in the top right corner is single earrings. A pair of earrings with a missing pearl pearl, bracelets and a necklace with a kink or a break, and a charm without a loop, all sterling for scrap or repair. Sterling Silver Top Cut Glass Antique Salt & Pepper Shaker Set -Early Century VG
These have been in the family for many generations and I am told they were from the turn of the century. I'm not sure if that means 1890's or early 1900's. I think they are from Eastern Europe. The glass is cut crystal with three intricate floral designs on each. Along with a rippled line in between each flower, running from neck to base. The tops are both marked"sterling" on the sides. The glass bases are smooth and unmarked. 3 1/4" high. Bases are 1 7/8" in diameter. I ship promptly and am happy to answer any questions.

6" Vintage Cut Glass Crystal Sugar Shaker with Sterling Silver Cap and Base
I do not know how old this shaker is. I think it is probably 1920's or 30's. It is cut glass crystal sugar swith sterling silver top and sterling silver, reinforced with cement(weighted) base. It is 6" high. There are no chips, no cracks in the glass. Silver top could use a good polishing. I put sugar into it to see how well it sprinkled and it works well.

This is a beautiful vintage footed amber glass master salt cellar with sterling silver overlay. This is not the painted kind of overlay. It is thick. It is in excellent condition. The silver goes around the rim and has a beautiful design on the front. It is 3-1/8" long, 2-1/4" wide and 1-3/4" high. The original sticker is still attached, but not in good shape. I can make out 925 and the letters ARGE on top and GARA on the bottom.

These estate sale items are really beautiful. And very heavy! The bottom third of the shakers is all glass/crystal- solid. So the salt and pepper would only settle into the top 2/3 portion of the shakers. They are etched with a flower and leaf design. No chips or cracks. The tops screw on and have a little point at the top. The point is slightly bent on both. Both tops are marked STERLING, but I have found no maker's marks. These are old, and the tops show a little minor wear. One shaker is a little cloudy. I have not tried to wash it. All in all, these are quite nice. We are offering this very pretty and nice American designed vintage salt and pepper shakers. It is often hard to see clear crystal designs but this has two different distinct ways in which it is decorated. Around the top area of the shaker there are flowers that are made in a manner that involves little lines pressed into the glass. It makes the flowers look frosted. The bottom of the shakers have what would appear to be about a quarter of a large daisy formed by indentations in the glass. With the center of the flower being the corner of the shaker. The shakers are about 3" tall with the sterling lid. We believe that the pictures are very important in your understanding the item. They stand approx 3 ¼ inches tall, and are approx 2 inches wide at their widest point. They weigh approx 9 ounces, the pair. One lid is marked“Sterling” the other is not. I don't see any other marks. The bottoms are polished smooth with no pontils. The lids are similar but not matched. The glass itself is not cracked or broken anywhere, however I should mention there are some very small scrapes and very tiny chips in a couple of areas on the widest portion of the shakers where they most likely bumped together. AUCTION DESCRIPTION: Salt& Pepper Shakers Unknown Age This auction is for a matched pair of clear cut crystal salt and pepper shakers with sterling silver lids and top finials. As seen in the picture the pepper shaker has a slightly larger hole as well as the lid which is like most modern day sets. The pepper is somewhat larger so the holes have to accommodate allowance of the spice to be shaken out. Even though this us an old salt shaker it still is quite clear on the inside. Which indicates it more than likely was not used on a daily basis for the salt crystals are hard enough to etch the interior of a shaker when used constantly. I used a polish cloth on the lids to show they are silver for they were nearly black from years of oxidation. They are not marked that I can see but I am relatively sure they are ... moresterling silver because of their age. They are absent of dents and cracks. Makers did not use chrome or plastic lids until much later productions. The four corners have three diamonds cut making the shakers actually six sided. The maker more than likely started with a round blown piece of glass and as the cutting process with done on each side it ended in a six side piece. Between each corner or the facing sides 6 grooves were vertically cut from the upper contour to the lower contour of the base. The entire piece was polished in the deep cuts as well as the bottom and the contours. As most intricate cut glass over the years. There may be a tiny flea bite on the edges but not visible. THE FIRST FOUR PICTURES ARE OF EACH SIDE WITH LAST PICTURE SHOWING THE DETAILS OF THE DEEP CUTS.
