Pair Vintage Large 6 Inch Glass Shakers Made in England Quality Glass Fostoria?
Listing this evening a great pair of shakers. They are a full 6 inches high(although in one of the pictures they appear to be 2 different heights) Be assured they are exactly the same size.The glass is real high quality(reminds me of old Fostoria glass) and the lids are silverplated(stamped Made in England) but it could be possible that the lids only were from England and the glass was produced in the US. The condition of the glass is excellent. One of the lids has a little corrosion(most probably from salt) and the other lid is in excellent shape. Feel free to ask any questions. I'll be glad to help. Nice antique single shaker stands about 4-1/8" tall. I believe it's opaline. a wonderful purple color with a hint of gray. There are hand painted enamel flowers on one side. The glass is in great condition. no chips and no cracks. The top is metal and shows some wear from age and use. It screws on and off. But sometimes it doesn't stay screwed on. just keeps turning. The little open salt bowl with two nice curves and diamond pattern. The foot thicker with ribs on top, high pitch flint ring, open pontil underneath. Glass color is deep rich dark cobalt blue with a hint of amethyst as would be expected from the American blown blue glass. Pretty subject and I shot photos in a number of lighting situations. Here is a terrific vintage salt and pepper shaker set from Japan featuring a church and a cottage. They are both in great shape with their stoppers. The church is 4" tall at the steeple. 2.75" across and almost 1.5" wide at the furthest point on the base. The cottage is 2.5" tall at the chimney, and nearly 2" x 2" width and length. Pair Hand Blown Crystal Sterling Salt Pepper Shakers - 1975 N.J. Crawlspace Find
This is a nice pair of antique hand-blown salt and pepper shakers with Sterling Silver tops. And they have a great story to them. Back in the 1970s I was a pre-teen who collected old bottles and beer cans. I would look everywhere for them and would often ask permission to look on private property. While looking for old bottles in Palmyra. N.J. I found this pair of salt cellars in the crawlspace of an 1880s home on Cinnaminson Avenue. The were in an old metal box and very well preserved- I will even throw-in a third identical pepper shaker(not shown) that I found with this pair as a back-up in case you ever break one of the pair. I never polished the marked Sterling Silver tops. So they have about 100 years of tarnish on them. The tops of the glass are finally ground down(not shown. But happy to provide photos) and the bottom of each has a ... moresmall swirled pontil mark from when they were blown by hand- each shaker is very heavy and thick, so I believe them to be lead crystal but am not an expert. Antique Canary Yellow Cased Glass Salt, Pepper, Mustard In Heart Shaped Holder
Old antique canary yellow cased glass open salt with pepper shaker and mustard pot condiment servers in metal wire heart shaped holder. OLD. OLD set just in from a local estate. Glass has no chips, cracks or damage. The pepper shaker has a lid that fits into the metal top rim holder. The lid is stuck but the rim is loose on the neck portion so you can see I could lift it off in picture 3. I think if you work with the lid or soak it for a while you could free it from the collar. I did not try. Shaker and mustard pot are just about 3" high and open salt oval shaped glass tray is 1 3/8" high and 2 5/8" long. Holder is metal wire and features a heart shaped lift off finger handle. It has wear and discoloring from age but is intact and functions as intended. It is 5" high. Great old set and I have never seen another one quit ... morelike it or in this yellow color scheme.

This lovely old salt& pepper shaker set measure approximately 4 1/4 inches tall. I believe they are hand cut crystal. Screw on tops are also made of glass. Nice snug fit. I washed them out with mild soap but some of the pepper residue remains. Perhaps you'll have better luck. Very nice vintage condition. Too! I have looked carefully& can see a few(maybe 3? tiny dings.
