Sterling Silver Top Cut Glass Antique Salt & Pepper Shaker Set -Early Century VG
These have been in the family for many generations and I am told they were from the turn of the century. I'm not sure if that means 1890's or early 1900's. I think they are from Eastern Europe. The glass is cut crystal with three intricate floral designs on each. Along with a rippled line in between each flower, running from neck to base. The tops are both marked"sterling" on the sides. The glass bases are smooth and unmarked. 3 1/4" high. Bases are 1 7/8" in diameter. I ship promptly and am happy to answer any questions.

I do not know how old this shaker is. I think it is probably 1920's or 30's. It is cut glass crystal sugar swith sterling silver top and sterling silver, reinforced with cement(weighted) base. It is 6" high. There are no chips, no cracks in the glass. Silver top could use a good polishing. I put sugar into it to see how well it sprinkled and it works well.

The pepper top has a little difficulty screwing on to its container but does fasten securely. The carrier is also in very nice condition. The cut glass containers stand approx. 3" tall. The Antique Salt(or) Pepper Shaker in the photos is the actual one you will receive. It is in excellent Display/ Collectible condition. With No chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs. The Lid/cap has a wonderful patina on it, but will polish up nicely if you prefer that look. I'm not sure if the cap is Plate Silver, or Sterling Silver as there are no marks. Most likely Plate, but it sure looks like sterling, especially on the inside. Cap threads down soundly, and opens easily. 7" inch) tall with 3" wide base. The lid is 2 1/2" tall with 1 1/2" rim. The underside is embossed with Flower in Shield and the number 2. It might have been re-purposed for bath powder at some point. As it had scented powder residue(inside) when I acquired it. Beautiful cut crystal menorah.This one is unusual.Not like all the other menorahs.Very nice silver candle-wax holders.Im not sure what these are made of,they look silver but they are not marked.The cut crystal has many sides and refracts the light nicely.I think the base is black glass,this adds some style.Its 9 7/8 long and 2 3/4 high.There is one small chip on the bottom.Cant really see it unless you turn it upside down.Otherwise no flaws.

The bottoms are polished smooth with no pontils. The lids are similar but not matched. The glass itself is not cracked or broken anywhere, however I should mention there are some very small scrapes and very tiny chips in a couple of areas on the widest portion of the shakers where they most likely bumped together. ~~ VICTORIAN CUT GLASS, SILVER PEPPER MILL & PEWTER SALT SHAKER ~~
This pewter salt shaker and Victorian pepper mill were from my father in laws estate. The pepper mill works fine. Just needs a good cleaning. The glass feels like cut glass to me, not pressed. The silver base has the initials AAG engraved as seen in photo. They each measure approx. 4" tall. Even though they are not an original set he has used them this was for as long as I can remember. Antique Victorian Wilcox Sterling Silver & Cut Glass Salt Shaker
Offered is a vintage Victorian sterling silver top/cut glass base salt shaker. Marked Sterling and also the maker mark for Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Meriden CT. The company was organized in 1865 by Jedediah and Horace Wilcox. Active circa 1867 to 1961, primarily a silverplate manufacturer, produced a line of sterling holloware in the mid 20th century. The salt shaker measures 2 1/2 inches high and 2 inches wide. In very good vintage condition. Does need polished. Some minor chipping to the cut edges. Comes from a smoke-free environment.
