A very pretty set of Antique Art Deco Cut Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers. Measure 4 3/4 inches tall. The bases are 4 sided with a slight pyramid shape and a deeply cut design. In very good antique condition. With no cracks. There is one small chip on the bottom edge of one shaker. And two small chips on the bottom edge of the other- please see photos for details. There are a few bubbles in the old glass. But it remains very clear. There is one bubble right on the surface of one shaker. And slight variations in the hand cuts from one shaker to the other. The lids have neat finials on top. And both do have some corrosion-please note in photos. As well. The lids are chrome plated. A very attractive set and a great addition to your collection. Up for your consideration is this fantastic salt and pepper set. The set is hand blown and cut glass and the bottom is polished smooth. The bottom edges are beveled. They are quality made and probably made for the upper class deck. They are both hand painted with two flags. I tried to research them. But no luck. One of the flags is blue with a red cross and white star. The other flag is green and looks like it has a letter"A" There is blue trim painted on the top rim and bottom rim, as well as the lid. The lids are all glass. They are roughly 2-1/2" tall. There are nibbles here and there and the inside rims both have a few chips that are not seen when the lids are on. There is also some paint wear. Right off the bat I want to state that I've done a lot of research on this cutie but have only come away with lots of confusion. Measuring with original pewter lid this shaker stands approximately 5 inches tall and measures approximately 2 3/4 inches at the base. Including lid. It weighs 11.8 ounces on my postal scale. It has what I always thought was a telltale sign of hand blown glass having the little rough feeling indention circle on the bottom of the shaker. When I run my finger on the inside of the glass. These have been in the family for many generations and I am told they were from the turn of the century. I'm not sure if that means 1890's or early 1900's. I think they are from Eastern Europe. The glass is cut crystal with three intricate floral designs on each. Along with a rippled line in between each flower, running from neck to base. The tops are both marked"sterling" on the sides. The glass bases are smooth and unmarked. 3 1/4" high. Bases are 1 7/8" in diameter. I ship promptly and am happy to answer any questions.

Cut crystal ball shaped salt and pepper shakers with silver lids made circa 1900. They stand 2 1/2" high and 2" across. Cut design. Miter cuts down the body all round with notched edges. Cut star on the bottom. Sterling silver caps that pop on. Don't screw. Marked on the lid rims: STERLING with an S in a shield. The mark used by the Simons Bros, Philadelphia between 1840s and Present. A dent in the lid of one. See pics. A few spots of tarnish that needs cleaning. Some pepper residue in one. Needs a second cleaning.

Lot of 3 Antique Unmatched Cut Glass Salt Shakers w/glass lids
All 3 of these salt shakers are very beautiful. But each has one or more flaws. The shaker with the flower design near the top is in the best condition, with one very small chip in the screw lip. Next in condition is the wider of the three, with a very small chip in the base and a very small chip in the screw lip. The shaker in the worst condition, the tallest one, has a significant chip in the screw lip, a chip in the lid, and a large crack in the lid. I would not recommend any but the first one to be placed in actual use. The photos show these pieces to have a blueish color hue, but they are all clear glass. All three would make very nice display pieces since their flaws are either difficult to see or are easily hidden with proper display. Because of their flaws. Antique Vintage Cut Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers Pair Metal Lids These shakers are in used condition with very minor chips, So minor we could not capture pictures of them. They have a very simple multi faceted designs on them. The lids are both metal but do not match. They appear to be the same age but do not have the same designs. One lid is in great shape aside from a few very small dents, The other is a little rough. It has been bent on the side which caused a crimp. That crimp is open. The same thing has happened on a small area on top where the holes are. Both lids screw on and off smoothly. No markings on either. Dimensions are 3" tall and base is 1 1/2" in diameter. This is a late Victorian 4 pc cruet cut glass set with silver plate carrier in very nice condition. All 4 cruet pcs are crack and chip free. Which includes the glass cruet tops. The pepper top has a little difficulty screwing on to its container but does fasten securely. The carrier is also in very nice condition. The cut glass containers stand approx. 3" tall. ANTIQUE ART DECO CUT GLASS STERLING TOP SALT& PEPPER SHAKERS This is a very nice pair of cut glass salt and pepper shakers. They have a nice Art Deco style design. They have pointed sterling tops. They need some polishing and these will look phenomenal! They absolutely shine! The bases have some mild fleabites. They are not very noticeable. No markings except for the sterling mark on tops. Antique Edwardian Blown Glass S&P Shakers MOP Tops with Cut Glass Tray ATTENTION I ship ALL fragile things PRIORITY MAIL INSURED ONLY which I offer at cost. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. The cost between Priority and Parcel Post under 5 pounds is insignificant. If over 10 pounds I generally ship UPS as safest way to go. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for an antique Edwardian period blown glass Salt& Pepper shakers with Mother of Pearl and silver plate tops setting in a cut glass tray. The cut glass tray has very little roughness and in the last photo you may be able to see the engraved floral design on it's low side. The shakers are 2 1/4" tall and the tray measures 4 1/2" ... morex 2 1/2" Thanks for looking and good luck! This weighs 2 pounds Priority shipping with insurance included. There ARE NO charges for packing and wrapping but are always just the USPS charges. If I miss the weight it comes out of MY pocket not yours.
