The salt lid looks like someone couldn't open it, and used some sort of tool to grip the lid, causing little dents on opposite sides of the lid, just above the threads. The salt shaker also has a couple of very tiny flakes at the edge of the base, and the pepper shaker has a little bump just above the bottom, which occurred in the molding of the glass. These shakers were molded, then cut, and there are several very tiny imperfections in the making, which can be seen with close examination using a magnifying glass. Some of these are shown in the photographs, but they are hard to see. If you have any questions. Or need more information, please don't hesitate to ask before bidding. The caps are marked for Sterling and one shaker is marked for Hawkes with the Trefoil mark. They are both in good used Estate condition showing normal age related wear. One shaker is slightly cloudy. There are no major chips. Cracks or major damage. There is a tiny bit of roughness. The caps are marked Sterling and have a repousse scroll pattern. Please view photos of the actual shakers you will receive. Hawkes cut glass was made by T.G. Hawkes& Company of Corning. New York, founded in 1880. The firm used cut glass blanks made at other glassworks until 1962. Many pieces are marked with the trademark, a trefoil ring enclosing a fleur-de-lis and two hawks. AWESOME ART DECO ERA CUT GLASS ROCKET SALT SHAKER CZECH
An awesome Art Deco era cut glass salt shaker. Unmarked, possibly Czech. It is reminiscent of a rocket ship. The shaker is in very good condition- there are some minor chips and flakes to the threaded rim, but these are completely concealed when the glass lid is screwed on. English Cut Glass Pedestal Salt with Silverplated Lid marked JG and 4 hallmarks
We are pleased to offer this beautiful 19th century Cut Glass Salt Shaker with Silver plated lid. Lid is maker marked JG and hallmarked with 4 figures that are faint to read. Glasstop is not threaded and cap pushes on and stays as there is a inset where the lid meets the body of the shaker. Shaker cuts are well depicted in the first picture. Shaker is 4 3/4" high. I believe the mark to be that of John Golding Plymouth Exeter England 1844. Though this appears a finer quality of silver than plate and thinner. Without testing I can not ascribe it to unmarked sterling. Condition is excellent with light overall wear. a few little nicks to the foot but to be expected.

A very pretty set of Antique Art Deco Cut Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers. Measure 4 3/4 inches tall. The bases are 4 sided with a slight pyramid shape and a deeply cut design. In very good antique condition. With no cracks. There is one small chip on the bottom edge of one shaker. And two small chips on the bottom edge of the other- please see photos for details. There are a few bubbles in the old glass. But it remains very clear. There is one bubble right on the surface of one shaker. And slight variations in the hand cuts from one shaker to the other. The lids have neat finials on top. And both do have some corrosion-please note in photos. As well. The lids are chrome plated. A very attractive set and a great addition to your collection. There are chips in the base of the tallest set. There is wear to the glass edges of the"roundest" set. The sunflower set has nice glass. All three sets have issues with the tops. There are dents. Cracks, and holes in the tops. One set has one top with damaged mother of pearl, on the rest, the pearl is okay. All tops fit tightly and they could be used. The tallest set is 3 1/8" high. The next set is 3" high, and the smallest set is 2 3/4" high. The areas ... moreof concern show clearly in the photos. This lovely old salt& pepper shaker set measure approximately 4 1/4 inches tall. I believe they are hand cut crystal. Screw on tops are also made of glass. Nice snug fit. I washed them out with mild soap but some of the pepper residue remains. Perhaps you'll have better luck. Very nice vintage condition. Too! I have looked carefully& can see a few(maybe 3? tiny dings. Up for your consideration is this fantastic salt and pepper set. The set is hand blown and cut glass and the bottom is polished smooth. The bottom edges are beveled. They are quality made and probably made for the upper class deck. They are both hand painted with two flags. I tried to research them. But no luck. One of the flags is blue with a red cross and white star. The other flag is green and looks like it has a letter"A" There is blue trim painted on the top rim and bottom rim, as well as the lid. The lids are all glass. They are roughly 2-1/2" tall. There are nibbles here and there and the inside rims both have a few chips that are not seen when the lids are on. There is also some paint wear. Pair of glass salt and pepper shakers cube cut, metal caps very nice
A very nice set of glass salt and pepper shakers. Metal lids. Not sure what the metal is, not silver though. They are in good condition with some evidence of use. But no chips or cracks. They weigh over 7 ounces together and are 3.75" tall. I am not sure of the age of the set. But they came from an estate sale where there were many vintage items. I just thought they were unique and regal looking. Thanks for looking. If you purchase this item I will pack them carefully so they arrive safely and I ship the same day that payment clears, unless it is a weekend. Up for auction are a Pair of Victorian Sterling Silver& Cut Glass Salt& Pepper Shakers. These Salt& Pepper shakers feature sterling silver caps and cut glass bodies. Each shaker has a sterling top with circle and star shaped piercings for the salt& pepper. They are each marked"STERLING" around the cap. Each shaker measures 3 1/8" tall and approximately 1 5/8" in diameter at the bottom. They are in good vintage condition with some wear to the glass and some dings on the top from use. Then a diamond shape design with two more rows of ridges and so on. The bottom is X& Diamond designs. Each measures 3-1/2" tall with top x 1-3/4" diameter base. Weighing 9 oz. without packaging. Good Antique Condition with signs of age. Use& wear. I do not see any flaw in the glass. But the tops have tarnish, dents and need to be cleaned. They are beautiful, one is a light blue& the other one is an orange/ caramel color, there are few tiny chips on the bottom of caramel colored one, the blue has a chunk out of the bottom, I attempted to show it in the pictures, it does not take away from the use or displaying of this item, the lid on the blue one is in fairly good condition, the one on the caramel one is in rough condition, they measure approx 3" tall x 1 1/8" across, please refer closely to the pictures for condition details.
