This amazing pair of American Cut Crystal Brilliant Cut Salt Cellars measures about 3" tall x 3-5/8 x 2.25" each. They most likely come from the Pittsburgh area judging from the glass color. The Pieces are blown and molded assembled. And Cut once cooled. They would have been extremely exceptional items for the period they were created. A 3" tall beautiful pair of RUBY RED flashed glass ORIGINAL ANTIQUE salt& pepper shakers. Souvenirs from ALTOONA KANSAS. They have metal caps that screw off easily and the sculpted glass bottoms are slightly lavender in color. That is, SUN COLORED PURPLE AMETHYST on the bottom third. These are truly antique shakers. A good 100 YEARS OLD old if not more! Front of shakers read: Souvenir/ ALTOONA. KANS. Condition: Shakers are in good condition. The salt shaker has some chipping on the rim(under the cap) and the lettering is faded( NOT NEARLY as much as in the first picture) especially on the salt shaker. These very old shakers were made by Dana R. Alden Boston and there is a date of 1877 on them. The cobalt one has some corrosion and damage to the lid. But the lighter one.the greenish one, is in nicer condition. They each have the inside stirring mechanism and the glass on each is in nice shape except for some roughness on the rim when you unscrew them. They measure about 2.25" high. They have a very simple multi faceted designs on them. The lids are both metal but do not match. They appear to be the same age but do not have the same designs. One lid is in great shape aside from a few very small dents, The other is a little rough. It has been bent on the side which caused a crimp. That crimp is open. The same thing has happened on a small area on top where the holes are. Both lids screw on and off smoothly. No markings on either. Dimensions are 3" tall and base is 1 1/2" in diameter. Pair Antique Consolidated Glass EAPG Shakers Salt & Pepper Peach Blow Pink 1890
For your consideration in this auction is a Pair of EAPG Salt and Pepper Shakers. They have a pattern of four Forget-Me-Not bands on a Melon shape. The glass is a mixture of Milk colored glass with a heat sensitive or dark Pink glass. The bottoms are dark pink on the outside but the white bands show on the inside where the two colors mixed. They are thought to have been made by the Consolidated Glass Co. circa 1890's. They were mold blown and have rough cut and ground necks. The shakers are 2 1/8 inches tall and 2 3/8 inches in diameter. They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The necks are ground but still rough from the pontil scars. Pair Antique Victorian Opaque Blue Salt & Pepper Shakers w/Original Lids
Up for auction is a pair of antique Victorian blue opaque salt and pepper shakers with the original lids. They have a raised scroll leaf design. I don't know the name of the pattern. The salt shaker has wear rubs on some of the high points on the scrolls. Both shakers have some chippage around their rims. The lids have turned dark with age and the salt shaker has some salt residue in the holes. There are no dents. Bends or breaks in the metal lids. There were no other problems. The shakers stand 3" high with the lids on and measure about 2 1/2" across at their widest points. These old Victorian pieces were not marked. This is a nice pair. 0237H0099
