There is some oxidation on the salt cap, I would recommend replacing the caps as they don't really let all that much out, either the salt or the pepper, I suppose one could ream the holes out a bit to be bigger, but perhaps you don't like a lot of spice and these would be perfect for you One reservoir is slightly larger than the other There are a few fleabite chips on the rims of the screw portions where the caps sit These stand almost 5 inches tall with the caps on. Antique cut Lead Crystal Salt & Pepper diamond Zipper Copper lids hand blown OLD
This is a very old salt and pepper set. The set is lead crystal glass it has a cut zipper design as well as hand designed double diamond. The glass was hand blown with pontil rod nub where it was cut off. the top of one jar was not finished and is rough The tops appear to be copper. Or may have been gold plated copper. They are corroded, particularly the big holes top. It was also smashed in top with a tear in the metal. These caps are very soft metal The jars are 3 1/2" tall. 1 1/2" at bottom. Glass is very nice. But each jar is slightly different, double diamonds, so it was made by hand.very early, I do not know age but I would think 1830-1850's I have other old salt and pepper set. Here are 2 fabulous salt holders that each have a spoon. I believe the marking is R& W. There is some sort of mark next to it which I think means sterling silver(3 small stamps in a row) The spoons are marked the exact as the holders. I do not know the age but they seem to be quite old. The cut glass is in good shape. The silver tops have slight dents here and there. Spoons and tops could use a nice polishing. They measure about 1 1/4" across and 1" tall. Spoons are 1 3/4" long. I do not know how old this shaker is. I think it is probably 1920's or 30's. It is cut glass crystal sugar swith sterling silver top and sterling silver, reinforced with cement(weighted) base. It is 6" high. There are no chips, no cracks in the glass. Silver top could use a good polishing. I put sugar into it to see how well it sprinkled and it works well.

Vintage cut crystal salt and pepper shakers with silver top
I have two shakers silver caps cut glass very heavy could be a lead crystal 4 inches tall the base is an inch and a half wide. There is some rusting on the inside of the caps one Does have a small ding in it there are no markings on the bottom. The glass has cuttings that makes similar shapes of flowers and they have cuttings all the way around each cap has five holes. you can see through to see which one is salt and which one is pepper. Glass itself is in good shape just the thing on the Cap and the rust on the inside does show some aging. The glass cap on the pepper has a hairline crack. But is still very function and not noticeable. The lid is a little hard to screw on, but once on, it is fine. Both have a few little teeny tiny fleabites that again are not noticeable unless you closely inspect. The bottoms are glassy smooth without any scratches. Nice heavy feel to them. Although this is a vintage item. These salt wells are in perfect, new condition, each piece having its own label still in place, reading Bohemia Glass, Made in Czechoslovakia. One spoon has been unwrapped in order to take a picture, but the remaining five spoons are still in their original wrapping. The salt wells are in excellent condition and have never been used. Each well measures 1.5” across by.75” tall(outside) by.5” deep(inside) These are from my mother’s collection and are in excellent vintage condition. I just picked these up at a yard sale this morning These gorgeous salt-and-pepper shakers have a purple tint. they are in great antique condition marked on the bottom of one of them. they have one lid missing the other remaining lid is stamped Sterling. In original patina I will not clean them that is for the new owner Unknown origin unknown maker unknown when they were made.
