Mid Century Modern Convertible Sofa Couch
This is a very unique Mid-century orange vinyl convertible sofa. It is a Knoll-style vintage piece from the 1960's and is in VERY good condition for its age. It is essentially a convertible"klik-klak" futon or daybed. So can function as a sleeper sofa, but has not been used as such in its long life. It has been in storage for many years, so the condition is remarkable. The color is orange, just a bit toward the salmon side of the orange spectrum. Some of the photos appear a brighter, orangier' orange than it actually is. I need to sell this to make room for refurnishing. There is a date stamped on both- June 21. 1961. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with normal wear due to age and use. There are some scratches and dings to the wood frame. The bentwood arms are in excellent with minimal scratches. The original upholstery is in excellent condition– no rips. Tears or holes- there is a faint smell of old. The cushions are also reversible although the solid side is a bit faded in some areas. There are 2 screw covers missing. The spring covers are stained. All cushions have zippers. Mid Century Modern Couch and Loveseat. Natural wood '70s. Danish Style. Oak
We bought this on consignment a year or so ago. And have been trying to trace its origin. There is a date stamp on the bottom that reads 5 71 which we assume is May of 1971. Unfortunately there is no signature or Makers Mark to be found. It has been a mystery trying to figure out where the pieces came from. we enlisted the help of message boards and some of the participants had some insights: Looks like a F.L.Wright imitation for sure. Mortise and tennon joinery indicates it's probably from the 40's-50's and the coloring age of the wood. Love the inlays. The wood that was used in constructing the frame of the couch and love seat are oak. The end grain of the wood appears to be different colors due to the configuration of the wood itself and the way the lumber was cut. The finish on the pieces are very light blond to clear. The ... morestyle of Frank L. Wright are usually shown in darker stains. The construction of the underseating appears to be from a recent area. The marking of the number indicates that it come out of some type of factory assemble. Although it could be from a small company. I once worked in a shop with 8 people. We made high end garden furniture that was sold to interior designers. Most important. You like them, Enjoy them, they are unique! This is VERY unique! You are fortunate to have found it and I hope you NEVER get rid of it. For one thing. It is difficult to find a couch where you have loose cushions that can be taken out for re-upholstering.most often you just have to throw it out. They can even add padding to reshape. Lucky find! To be sure. It is very Unique, perhaps a one of a kind, or a prototype for a production model.

This is a 1950's or late 1940's modern design. Split sofa in original condition. The photos tell the story, it's 8 feet 8 inches long. One of the sections is faded from sunlight. There is some light wear due to age, and on one of the cushions the fabric is splitting, but overall it's very good. The foam and all the fabric is original to this piece and over 60+ years old. This was the pride and joy of it's owner when moving to the suburbs in the late 1940's(mid century modern home) and was still sitting in the original living room. Vintage Victorian art deco 1920 or 30's sofa& chair.they both are all there soild wood frames. Red burgdy velvet. They both need to be reaposterd. The cushions are made with springs mohair cotton and purlap. All of the cushions are there. The arms and front feet are carved wood. The frame is soild wood rounded on the top of the back. I don't see any no cracks or breaks on the wood. They are both very heavy. Local pick up only. If you want to ship it you have to set it up and let me know. measures: couch is about 80 to 82 inches long. 28' by 20' wide. Chair is 27' wide. 32' long, cushion 19' long, 21' wide. this set has been in storage for years. I bought it at a estate sale, and that is all I know. The style is the look of the 20s maybe 30s. Vintage Mid Century Modern Eames Era Adrian Pearsall Sofa Couch FULLY RESTORED
This auction is for a beautiful Danish Modern Adrian Pearsall Mid Century Modern Eames Era couch I have had FULLY RESTORED– designer fabric. New heavy industrial foam and body padding, new webbing, new decking, new foam cushions, two new pillar foam end pillar bolt cushion pillows, new chrome cushion clips and I had the strings re-tightened. It is a breathtaking piece of furniture. The original under frame is still in place. I purchased it several months ago, had it fully restored, received it last month and now found out I am being transferred. The furnishings I am taking with me have to be limited and this is one of the pieces I have to sadly let go. It is gorgeous. There are no labels on it. It is IMMACULATE and has been freshly reupholstered with the most gorgeous celery green woven fabric with a designer‘circle and dot’ accent fabric ... morethat is second to none spectacular. I call it my“ Marlo Thomas/That Girl” look! Words cannot describe the colors of the accent fabric. The velvety‘circles’ are a jeweled turquoise color with a matching green celery“dot” inside(that matches the overall celery green woven fabric to a“T” the woven background inside the circle is a bit darker beige color than the lighter beige woven background. This fabric is carried over into the two pillar bolt cushions. The company that restored this couch is renowned in the area and did an EXPERT job. I am EXTREMELY picky and they truly surpassed even my expectations! It is a truly daring design. I wanted something‘light’ yet‘bold’ and I feel my goal was accomplished. Terrific vintage 2 piece rounded mid century modern sofa is a one-of-a-kind! It is in good vintage condition with a few minor imperfections. There are a couple of stains as shown in the photos. Butter yellow, yellow gold, there are a lot of others that would fit as well. the Design is pure Draper merged with one of the Souths largest mid century furniture companies, Henredon. My parents had a mountain home near the North Carolina plant. Although the couch was not part of the decor we had bedroom furniture that was Henredon. The colour is best described by the pictures.
