The fabric is in great condition with no holes or tears. The only real wear is on the front of the arms. Otherwise there's only minimal wear. There are no tags on it but we've sold other Thayer Coggin sofas and this one definitely has the look of one. It has very cool psychedelic fabric that I think actually looks better in person than in the photos we have posted. The colors really pop. Each of the arms is raised up on(5) square chrome cubes that still have a lot of shine to them. The(4) legs are wood wrapped with chrome. It's an amazing piece and a very rare find especially in this condition. It measures 63" long x 26" tall at the top of the backrest and 16" tall at the seat level. The foam in the seat cushions is a bit more broken down/compressed than the foam in the back cushions. The couch strapping is sturdy the way it is now as someone has added extra strapping and an inner frame along the bottom frame of the couch– in order to attach the extra strapping from side to side(to support the original front to back strapping that had lost elasticity) Only visible with cushions off of the couch. It sits well and is structurally sound. It is in good vintage condition with marks and wear consistent with age and use. No labels or maker's marks. It does have a metal Duncan Aviation emblem as pictured. This sofa was likely specified for Duncan's offices in the 70's by the local Thayer Coggin dealer and recovered in the 80's. The fabric is a mauve and light blue wool hopsack. Solid walnut plinth base has wear as pictured. But overall this sofa presents very well and is worthy of full restoration. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING* Item: Very Cool Vintage Mid Century Modern Walnut Sectional Sofa and Corner Table in the Danish Style by Gordon's Inc. The sofas feature a sleek modern look. Laminate top bookcase-armrests, and green original vinyl cushions. The corner table has a small cane-front compartment and two pieces of raised, wing-shaped thick glass. Overall great original pieces! You can even use the sofas together and have the table used in a different area of your home. So many cool options with this set! Age: Circa 1960's Measurements: Sofa sections 28.5" H. 48" W(each) 30 D, 16.5" Seat Height Table 19.5" H(14.5" to top of table) 32" W, 32" D Condition: Items are in good original vintage condition being structurally sturdy and sound with normal age appropriate signs of use. Including scuffs, ... morescratches, and wear to the finish throughout on the wood from use over the years, as pictured below. There are some very minor chips to the glass, though they are not really visible once the glass is in place and some scratches/wear to the table here and there including a more notable area right in front of the small caned door as seen in image#7 below. The bookcase compartments have a slight downward angle to them from use over the years but this does not affect them structurally and is common spacing in the joints from the 50+ years of use. The foam is still usable though it is starting to become less soft from age. The original green vinyl is in overall good condition with no rips or holes. Please keep in mind that this set came from the original owners and they had it in their basement/family room for 50+ years. The vinyl does have a musty smell to it. I have added many images so you can get the best idea of its beauty and condition and supersize all images for great detail.
