Have a look at the gorgeous Tiger Stripe grain figure throughout; with beautiful Incised& Leaf carvings& ribbed apron base. A couple small bits of carving on the corners missing, touched up to blend. The upholstery is not original, re-done at some point in time but it is cheerful& perfectly servicable with no holes, tears or odors. The upholstery could be easily recovered in you choose. Although there is no mattress.I guess there must have been some padding at one time. Im sure you creative types out there can figure out exactly how this originally functioned. When open, the front section is webbed& has inner springs, perhaps the back section also did at one time. There is a heavy iron center latch& thick iron fold-down corner supports. On the one side you can see 2 folding iron frames that come to rest at an angle, presumably as headrests. The sofa measures 72.5 inches long, 21.5 inches deep& 33 inches high with a 23 inch high pillow end& 16 inch high seat. This is a very nice vintage white wicker chaise lounge. It is very well constructed. With springs and a bottom cushion. It had a back cushion but I washed it and it didn't make it! It is hard to measure due to the shape, but measures approximately 63" in length from the top to the bottom edge of the cushion. 38" from the floor to the top of the back, and 24" across at the foot base. Please ask for specific items to be measured and I will do my best. Some of the brackets underneath are loose and need to be tightened. There is one spot on the front bottom that needs to be repaired where some of the wicker is broke(see pic) I think a bit of glue will fix this problem. Naturally there are signs of wear for it's age. beautiful antique early 20th century chaise
Beautiful antique early 20th century chaise. Jacquard velvet fabric is mustard yellow and dark chocolate in color. It is very old and fabric and the wood has some wear and tear. But nothing major. There is one little tear, almost invisible to the eye and easily fixable. The wood on two legs of the chaise is chipped. Other than that it is a beautiful peace. I'm redecorating my home to a modern style and it just doesn't fit in anymore.

For sale is a Mid Century Modern chaise/ couch with 5 legs and a built in end table in the Gondola style. I was told 1950's. Has 5 really cool legs and a formica end table built in. It is very clean with some signs of use. Should be reupholstered. I have little doubt it is a famous design.Maybe by Paul Mccobb or Pearsall. It does have a Karpen tag located on the top under the cushion.I do not know who designed it. Karpen was famous for the horn chair.And were known for being ahead of their time. A very fine 1960's Le Cobusier design chaise lounge made by Cassina of Italy. It is made of chrome finish tubular steel. The seat supports are of rubber. The upholstery is of cowhide. The headrest is of black leather? With a zipper. The headrest has brass buckles and leather straps. The straps that were attached to the upholsrery have worn off. Paper labels of Cassina on the black finished iron foot base. The base is 36" wide by 12" tall by 19-1/2" deep. The cowhide is 72" long by 17" wide. The lounge is 63" long by 20-1/2" wide by 17" tall at head. The tubular steel. Rubber supports, black iron base, and headrest, are fine. The cowhide has some small wear spots to hairs here or there.

This Lounger has a swivel that glides on the half circle base. It is on Overall Very Good Condition! There is some scarring on the hide(see pics) and there is some scratches& 1 small tear on the vinyl arms(see pics) It swivels perfectly although there is a lever(see pics) on the right side that is supposed to"lock" the chair in that position and it is not locking. Probably a simple fix. Does have a hot iron brand on it, appears to maybe be VRO? This measures approx. 59" long x 25" wide x 35 tall. HAPPY BIDDING!
