Condition: Used Location: Wimauma, United States Deutsch Brothers Louis XV Style French Provincial Carved Sofa/ Settee This is a beautiful and rare piece of American made furniture from Chicago. I have ... moreseen a few other pieces of Deutsch Brothers furniture but none in this decent of shape.We have been dealing in furniture for several years and have rarely seen these pieces come up. This was purchased from an entire estate locally here in Reno. Nevada. There is not a great deal known about Deutsch Brothers Furniture. They were located in Chicago and apparently closed sometime from 1920-1927 due to a bankruptcy that was the result of a fire in their warehouse. It is later noted that Deutsch Brothers were commissioned in 1961 by Jacquelyn Kennedy to design furniture in the Louis XV style for the East Room of the White House. After completion of this project. All details of the pieces were to be destroyed so that no duplicates could be made. My guess is that there were not. This piece, besides the color, appears to be the exact piece ordered by Mrs. Kennedy. It is still on display in the Music Room of The White House. Click the link below to check it out. Condition and Dimensions: The piece was well cared for and looks to have very little to no wear at all. There are no rips. Tears, or staining on any of the fabric at all. Fabric is a pink floral pattern through out with darker pink and gold accent flowers. Not sure the exact type of wood but it is painted all white with gold accents acroos the whole piece. Cushion shows no wear on either side. I provided photos of both sides. Woodwork is solid. No cracking or breaking anywhere. Color is unfaded. Thie piece has been kept in a very dark house and has seen very little light. On a scale of 1 to 10 for condition, 10 being best, I would say this piece is an 8 or 9. This sofa is 53 1/2 inches wide from arm to arm. It measures roughly 33 inches deep from front to back. Seat height is 18 inches. The height is 36 1/2 inches tall along the curved corner areas and 34 inches tall in the middle where the birds are located. The

Vintage FRENCH Provincial style sofa couch newly Reupholstered Michigan
Hi this item is located in Rochester Michigan 48307. I am 20 miles Nw of Detroit. 1 1/2 hours from Toledo and 5 1/2 hours from Chicago. You can contact for a door to door delivery quote. For sale is a vintage French Provincial sofa from the 1940's- 1950's. I had this piece reupholstered and had new cushions made. The spring were also tightened. I paid around $1400.00 to the reupholsters. It took over 15 yards of fabric to recover. The sofa has a decorative carved wood frame. The piece is in really great condition. The wood does have some scratches. There is one small pink mark on the internal seat of the sofa(see last photo) I would describe the color as seal brown. It does have that"grey/brown" color. Beautiful Vintage French Provincial Sofa
This Beautiful Sofa was given to us by our Parents. We had it re-upholstered in 1982 and it has been in our home but sat on very little. We are downsizing and need to find a good home for this beauty! The frame is hardwood and vey heavy duty. the material is a lovely velveteen material with a large floral pattern. The Sofa has no tears. No stains, really no issues except some of varnish has worn off the claw arms where it has been handled. Lovely, excellent condition. With the exceptions of a couple of places of aged wear this sofa is beautiful! There is a spot at the bottom of the sofa where the channeling or tube looking portion of the upholstery has worn. There is also a spot on the top of the sofa where again the tubing/channeling portion of the upholstery has come undone. I'm sure this could be fixed but I do not know how to do it myself. I will show these two things in the last two photos. There is also a spot where the seam has come apart on the interior of one arm. Other than that this sofa is in very good condition! Just lovely! Couch Sofa And Chair French Provincial Set Vintage Tufted
Couch 31" high X 35" deep X 91" long Chair 31" high X 35" deep X 29" wide Pay close attention to the length of the couch. It's very long. I am not a furniture dealer so I will describe this set to the best of my knowledge and am glad to answer any other questions you may have. This set was in my grandmothers house since I was very young. I am now 49. That is all I know about the age. We were never allowed to even sit on it back then. So the 3 years at my home, in a room we rarely use are all the wear there is. Minor surface scratches on the wood, and light wear on the fabric. When I got the set, the foam in the cushions was dry rooted. I had the covers dry cleaned and the foam replaced by a professional. The couch spring area in the center, seemed to droop, so it was repaired. Still has all original springs, ... moreetc. everything was held in by nails and some had started to back out. So repair consisted of putting everything back in place. The staples putting the fabric cover back over the bottom are partially new. None of this can be seen unless you look underneath. Vintage French Provincial split sofa
This is a"split" sofa in blue satin done in a french provincial stain. The pieces are each approx 50" long and can be used together(as shown) or separated to go around a corner. Here is a NM-MINT condition French Provincial Living Room sectional set purchased in 1968 Brand new from Sibilano Furniture Store in Chicago. Price at that time was over $5000. Set consists of 14 pieces all together and will not separate. Couches are White/Rose color Fabric with Antique white wood framing. No tears or stains. Couches had plastic covers from new until 6 months ago. Couches measure as follows: End pieces are 54 Inches each with the center piece which is curved being 64 Inches. End Chairs are light Blue Fabric with Antique White wood framing. 2 Round End Tables have white/black Real Marble tops with White Antique wood framing. Center table is slightly larger with same marble top but also has bottom shelf. Lamps(See pic on table) are Brass with crystal ... moretear drops which some are missing. Dark color wood Pictures were Purchased with the Furniture when New and are very unique and Light up but some bulbs are burned out. The larger Pic measures 6 Feet wide by 3 Feet tall and has 2 Brass sconce lights with 1 on each side that hang off the picture. The Skinny pictures(theres 2) measure 22 1/2 Inches wide by 40 1/2 Inches Tall. This set is 46 years old but in Nm-Mint condition. There are quite a few pieces here and would be perfect for someone that needs a complete living rm set. What is in the description are the only things included. Pieces on center table are not included. This is my Grandmothers furniture set and was literally sat on or used maybe a dozen times and sits on BONE white carpeting. Like I said it was Covered from new until 6 months ago.
