Very good overall condition, This exquisite vintage leather suite was crafted in England between 1980 and 1990. The set includes one Churchill style sofa. One Churchill style club chair, and one Monks style wingback chair. The green leather on all three pieces has been refurbished to restore original color and luster, resulting in a marvelous suite of traditional chesterfield furniture. Each piece is also as comfortable as it is sturdy, so this suite combines beauty with utility-in classic English fashion! Each piece has also sustained a number of scuffs but remains beautiful, so overall condition is good. The sofa measures 78" wide x 34" deep x 28.5" high. English leather Chesterfield sofo
An English leather Chesterfield sofa. 1970. We lived in London in the 70's and 80's and during that time, had this sofa made. It has an oak frame and the leather is Connelly. The leather seat wore out and we had it replaced with a mohair fabric. This is quite common with leather sofas. The spots that you see on the overall view are on the camera lens and not on the furniture. This piece is being sold for local pick-up only and cash sale only. This is a beautiful English leather sofa that came in on our last container. It has three thick removable cushions that offer a lot of comfort ... moreagainst the upholstered buttoned and tufted back. Arms and top. It has a rolled arm, rolled back, and sits upon tapered turnip-style legs with brass casters. We’re not sure how old it is, but most of our leather furniture from England is from the last 30 years or so, and this is not a style we’re used to seeing. It’s in a dark oxblood color with a bit of black distress, and the overall condition looks really good. There is one tiny place on one of the buttoned pleats that the sewing has started to come apart, but you’d need to look pretty hard to see it. This is an extra large sofa, measuring 82 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 60 inches on the inside, it is 36 inches deep, and the cushion’s depth is 21 inches. The height to the back is 34 inches tall and it is 28 inches high on the arms. This is one of the better sofas we’ve had in a long time, and although I thought it would look great in the office, everyone else said, Sell, sell, sell! The sofa measures. 72” Long/ 29” Tall/ 36” deep(front to back) 53” from inside armrest to inside armrest. There are a few condition issues with the sofa. There is one button missing on the front of the seat. It needs to be re-set back down. Along with one other button cover missing from the armrest. See pictures. There are a few wear spots around the sofa. Mostly on the seat cushion. See pictures. There is a light mark on the bottom part of the back of the sofa. See picture. There is some dust/ dirt in the holes where the buttons are. Ive gotten ... moremost of it out. But you need a small brush or something similar to get it all out. Overall.
