Wood slat back with the original upholstered zippered seat and back cushions(red) CONDITION: Great vintage condition with typical wear due to age and use. The wood is in excellent condition– minor dings and marks due to age and use. The upholstery is faded and worn. The foam in the seat cushions is a bit more broken down/compressed than the foam in the back cushions. The couch strapping is sturdy the way it is now as someone has added extra strapping and an inner frame along the bottom frame of the couch– in order to attach the extra strapping from side to side(to support the original front to back strapping that had lost elasticity) Only visible with cushions off of the couch. This wonderful 1960s Danish modern platform sofa from a midwest estate is of excellent quality and is in structurally sound and sturdy used condition with wear to the back of the wooden rail bolster support as shown. The original cushions are included but the original upholstery is faded. Soiled and has a few holes. Each of the 3 cushions is zippered, so they could easily be removed and cleaned/replaced if desired. There is a maker's label, but it is mostly obscured by the webbing, which has already been replaced once and could use tightening. For sale is a Danish Mid Century Modern Teak Wood Slat Back Sofa by Poul Cadovius for France And Son. Circa 1970. I purchased the sofa in NY from Cosmo's for $4.850. I am moving again and am unable to take this sofa with me. The sofa is in all original and excellent condition. The bottom is spring supported. Cushions are original fabric. Wood is in very good condition. There is a slight paint scuff mark on one side that could be removed by a professional. It is barely noticeable. The back top piece has also moved slightly on one side only please see photo. This can be easily repaired with glue there is no nail required it is a flush design.
