Up for sale is this beautiful vintage bedroom set. Included with set is a dresser with mirror. Tall dresser, 2 end tables, head board, foot board, and bed rails. It's from the 1950's and is really gorgeous. It is an off white color with gold inlay. Nice curved wood. All solid wood and dove tail connections. RECENTLY FOUND OUT THIS SET IS MADE BY DREXEL HERITAGE FURNITURE CALLED THE TOURAINE FRENCH PROVINCIAL SET. The last pic shows a ring that is on top of one of the end tables. Hi this item is located in Rochester Michigan 48307. I am 20 miles Nw of Detroit. 1 1/2 hours from Toledo and 5 1/2 hours from Chicago. You can contact for a door to door delivery quote. For sale is a vintage French Provincial sofa from the 1940's- 1950's. I had this piece reupholstered and had new cushions made. The spring were also tightened. I paid around $1400.00 to the reupholsters. It took over 15 yards of fabric to recover. The sofa has a decorative carved wood frame. The piece is in really great condition. The wood does have some scratches. There is one small pink mark on the internal seat of the sofa(see last photo) I would describe the color as seal brown. It does have that"grey/brown" color. Beautiful Vintage French Provincial Sofa
This Beautiful Sofa was given to us by our Parents. We had it re-upholstered in 1982 and it has been in our home but sat on very little. We are downsizing and need to find a good home for this beauty! The frame is hardwood and vey heavy duty. the material is a lovely velveteen material with a large floral pattern. The Sofa has no tears. No stains, really no issues except some of varnish has worn off the claw arms where it has been handled. Lovely, excellent condition. Up for auction is this pair of 1960's Vintage French Provincial style loveseats/sofas that are the most comfortable that we have ever sat on. We purchased them at an estate sale in Pebble Beach. California which had only the highest quality furniture. The family thought that they had owned them since the late 1960's. The company who designed these beautiful loveseats/sofas is the Umphred Furniture. This company was well known for it's fine quality furniture. The design on the pieces of birds and floral fauna is lovely. I believe the fabric is some sort of silk blend-not sure though. The cushions are in great shape and is comfortable to sit on. Soft velour like material-color is a golden/beige/tan hues.hard to describe. With the exceptions of a couple of places of aged wear this sofa is beautiful! There is a spot at the bottom of the sofa where the channeling or tube looking portion of the upholstery has worn. There is also a spot on the top of the sofa where again the tubing/channeling portion of the upholstery has come undone. I'm sure this could be fixed but I do not know how to do it myself. I will show these two things in the last two photos. There is also a spot where the seam has come apart on the interior of one arm. Other than that this sofa is in very good condition! Just lovely! Couch Sofa And Chair French Provincial Set Vintage Tufted
Couch 31" high X 35" deep X 91" long Chair 31" high X 35" deep X 29" wide Pay close attention to the length of the couch. It's very long. I am not a furniture dealer so I will describe this set to the best of my knowledge and am glad to answer any other questions you may have. This set was in my grandmothers house since I was very young. I am now 49. That is all I know about the age. We were never allowed to even sit on it back then. So the 3 years at my home, in a room we rarely use are all the wear there is. Minor surface scratches on the wood, and light wear on the fabric. When I got the set, the foam in the cushions was dry rooted. I had the covers dry cleaned and the foam replaced by a professional. The couch spring area in the center, seemed to droop, so it was repaired. Still has all original springs, ... moreetc. everything was held in by nails and some had started to back out. So repair consisted of putting everything back in place. The staples putting the fabric cover back over the bottom are partially new. None of this can be seen unless you look underneath.
