It was restored a few years ago in beige suede upholstery(pictures shown in different lighting) ... moreKept in a pet and smoke free home. The leg mounts were replaced with heavy duty mounts and sturdy wooden legs. This chair is stronger than original. However the legs screw in and could easily be replaced if you want to install your own legs. The upholstery is in fantastic condition with no rips or stains. Mid Century Modern Couch and Loveseat. Natural wood '70s. Danish Style. Oak
We bought this on consignment a year or so ago. And have been trying to trace its origin. There is a date stamp on the bottom that reads 5 71 which we assume is May of 1971. Unfortunately there is no signature or Makers Mark to be found. It has been a mystery trying to figure out where the pieces came from. we enlisted the help of message boards and some of the participants had some insights: Looks like a F.L.Wright imitation for sure. Mortise and tennon joinery indicates it's probably from the 40's-50's and the coloring age of the wood. Love the inlays. The wood that was used in constructing the frame of the couch and love seat are oak. The end grain of the wood appears to be different colors due to the configuration of the wood itself and the way the lumber was cut. The finish on the pieces are very light blond to clear. The ... morestyle of Frank L. Wright are usually shown in darker stains. The construction of the underseating appears to be from a recent area. The marking of the number indicates that it come out of some type of factory assemble. Although it could be from a small company. I once worked in a shop with 8 people. We made high end garden furniture that was sold to interior designers. Most important. You like them, Enjoy them, they are unique! This is VERY unique! You are fortunate to have found it and I hope you NEVER get rid of it. For one thing. It is difficult to find a couch where you have loose cushions that can be taken out for re-upholstering.most often you just have to throw it out. They can even add padding to reshape. Lucky find! To be sure. It is very Unique, perhaps a one of a kind, or a prototype for a production model.

This piece is so cool. The design and the color are really awesome. This is a early 60s sofa in the design of Sergio Rodrigues, with a solid walnut frame and cool avocado green upholstery. It is very well made with a solid walnut frame the is very tight and sturdy. The upholstery is a very soft(imitation leather) vinyl that except for the three seat cushions is in very good condition. As you can see from the photos with the exception of the three seat cushions(which aren't reversible) and one small spot on the back top corner that is an easy fix, the upholstery is very nice and can be used as is. I was going to just have the three seat cushions redone in the same color(if I could find it) or a darker green that would look very nice as well. The wood it self needs a clean up as the piece has been in storage for a while, it would be easy ... moreto refinish it as well.
