Baker Furniture Far East dining set 8 chairs 1950s
Baker Furniture dining set from the 1950's. This appears to have the original finish and upholstery. It measures 68" x 44" with no leaves. Each leaf is 18" so it will extend to 112" x 44" It includes two captains chairs. 6 side chairs, and 3 leaves in the original Baker box. This can seat up to 12. The upholstery is a cream silk? and has no rips, tears, or worn spots. They have not been professionally cleaned so they should be especially beautiful once you have that done. I just didn't want to take the chance. This set is in very good condition with a few exceptions. I have tried to take pictures of the flaws that I can see: The table has some mild crazing to the finish and one side of the table has more fade in the finish than the other. There are 3 heat marks as pictured and some rubbing on the edges but ... moreno deep scratches. There is a small crack on the top layer of one of the leaves as pictured. There was a small piece of wood that cracked and was reglued into one captain's chair as pictured. Both captain's chair seats are sunken and one has water marks on the seat. One of the side chairs has a food mark. There are white scuff marks on some of the legs of the chairs. I know they can be removed but since I am not a professional I didn't attempt it. There is a cover for this that is felt on the bottom and a rose pattern vinyl on top. It definitely shows its age more than the rest of the set but still works for under a tablecloth.

You're bidding on a(6) Piece 1950's Leather Western Wagon Wheel Furniture Set! This six piece set includes(2) end tables. A coffee table, a porcelain cowboy boot lamp, a rocking chair, and a couch that folds down into a bed. As you can see in the photos all the furniture pieces besides the end tables have wagon wheel spoke accents. The couch and rocking chair material is leather, and both have neat embossed scenery. On the right end of the couch the wood on the front leg has split, it would need to be glued and clamped. Also, the tops of the rocking chair and couch is a little messed up, more so on the rocking chair, someone must have had a cat that at some point clawed the crap out of the leather. There is a little split on the coffee table leg area and someone placed some wire around that same leg, maybe that wire was to hold it ... moreinto place, not sure. The top on the coffee table has come lose and needs to be real glued. There is a little wear through the wood on this set, so if you'd like it could easily taken apart, sanded, and refinished, I wouldn't, but who buys this, it's up to them. The lamp shade has some staining as you can see in the photos, and I think that's about it. I mean this set is from the 1950's. it's going on 70's years of age, I believe it's in pretty good shape considering that fact. I put the little blanket in just for looks really, but if the winner wants it too, that's fine. I purchased this set for myself to put in my home, but for the right price, I'm willing to part ways with it. I found the same set on another auction site that sold for $1,600.00, that set had a refurbished rocking chair, to me that kills the value a bit, cause it's not original. You will not find a complete set like this again for this price anywhere. Here is a NM-MINT condition French Provincial Living Room sectional set purchased in 1968 Brand new from Sibilano Furniture Store in Chicago. Price at that time was over $5000. Set consists of 14 pieces all together and will not separate. Couches are White/Rose color Fabric with Antique white wood framing. No tears or stains. Couches had plastic covers from new until 6 months ago. Couches measure as follows: End pieces are 54 Inches each with the center piece which is curved being 64 Inches. End Chairs are light Blue Fabric with Antique White wood framing. 2 Round End Tables have white/black Real Marble tops with White Antique wood framing. Center table is slightly larger with same marble top but also has bottom shelf. Lamps(See pic on table) are Brass with crystal ... moretear drops which some are missing. Dark color wood Pictures were Purchased with the Furniture when New and are very unique and Light up but some bulbs are burned out. The larger Pic measures 6 Feet wide by 3 Feet tall and has 2 Brass sconce lights with 1 on each side that hang off the picture. The Skinny pictures(theres 2) measure 22 1/2 Inches wide by 40 1/2 Inches Tall. This set is 46 years old but in Nm-Mint condition. There are quite a few pieces here and would be perfect for someone that needs a complete living rm set. What is in the description are the only things included. Pieces on center table are not included. This is my Grandmothers furniture set and was literally sat on or used maybe a dozen times and sits on BONE white carpeting.
