It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. This listing is for a mid-century. Vintage couch or sofa. Brand is A. Brandt Ranch Oak. It is so sturdy and well-made! It has the original fabric covering, which a blue/cream/ombre stripe style, please view photos. The photo of the back of the couch shows some yellow, but that is just the camera. The fabric looks itchy, but it is not. The cushions could use a good steam cleaning, to brighten, as the back of the couch looks brighter than the cushions. This well-made couch is so comfortable. It is sturdy, but easily moved, even on carpeting, as it has 4 rollers underneath. The sides of the couch are interesting with lattice-style design sides. Parts of the black covering on the bottom of the couch has ripped away from the staples, but we reattached some of it, but could use a few more staples to hold the black fabric more securely. This is a very nice sofa frame. Suitable for country or formal decor, nice with an English manor house look or Americana. It's all about what you use for upholstery. Right now, as it sits, everything but the springs will need to be replaced. This is the way to buy a sofa. I bought it for the way it sits. ALL of the old camelback sofas from the middle of the 20th century- and earlier- sit like a sofa should sit. I am just fed up with hearing about it's important that a sofa be good for lying down. Folks- if a sofa is any darn good, you won't have to lie down. It should sit so that you can read the paper or read a book for extended periods without needing to lie down or see a chiropractor- or both. Really. This is a standard 7 foot sofa and will need 13 or so yards to cover it, depending on what sort of a pattern you choose. It ... moresits just great, but is worn out. Curved back and exposed wooden frame make this sofa a perfect example of mid century Danish design. In very good vintage condition. With light wear due to age. Some scuffing to the wooden feet, as pictured. Fabric has some small snags and three or four droplet-sized stains, but none noticeable. A typical example is pictured. Vintage Antique 1920's Era White Wicker Chaise Lounge Sofa Couch Chic and Shabby
This is a very nice vintage white wicker chaise lounge. It is very well constructed. With springs and a bottom cushion. It had a back cushion but I washed it and it didn't make it! It is hard to measure due to the shape, but measures approximately 63" in length from the top to the bottom edge of the cushion. 38" from the floor to the top of the back, and 24" across at the foot base. Please ask for specific items to be measured and I will do my best. Some of the brackets underneath are loose and need to be tightened. There is one spot on the front bottom that needs to be repaired where some of the wicker is broke(see pic) I think a bit of glue will fix this problem. Naturally there are signs of wear for it's age. Vintage Rattan Starbust Sofa and Chair
This is a beautiful matching mid century modern sofa and chair set. I really hate to give them up but I'm moving soon and they have to go. They are a vintage 1950s or 60s rattan frame sofa and matching chair with the coolest starburst fabric cushions you'll ever see. I spent days searching on the net but I can't find anything exactly like them. There are no maker's marks that I can find but it is high quality furniture. They are in very good vintage condition. A few scuffs on the legs and side of one of the sofa arms. It's gloss black paint that could easily be touched up if you're rough on furniture. One of the sofa cushion covers has two tiny tears, one on the front and one on the back of one cushion. I've included a pic of one of them, about an inch high and 1/8th wide. They're barely noticeable and don't ... moredetract from the overall condition. The cushions are good and fabric covers zip on and off for washing. These pieces don't have wicker wrapped joints, it's all dowel and wedge construction which is a lot sturdier IMO. Support under each of the cushions are eyebolts driven into the wood frame attached to coiled springs with metal slates woven across the bottom, 3 rows wide x 2 rows front to back per seating area. Really well built and better than a lot of others I've seen. There is green cushioned fabric over the slats stapled into the frame too as you can see in the pic of the chair with the cushions off. I think the wood is bamboo but in any event it's lightweight yet strong. The chair seems like it weighs almost nothing and I can carry the sofa easily by myself and I'm no superman. There are three corduroy covered foam cushions(one large one for the seating area and two smaller ones for the backrest) which will need to be recovered or replaced as they are in poor condition. This is a beautiful Mid Century Sofa and Chair in a soft turquoise blue. Built in the 1950's by Rowe Manufacturing Co. The set is extremely sound and sturdy with no wobbling. Rowe Manufacturing was(and still is) an upscale furniture manufacturer. The frame is constructed of solid wood and the springs are all in tack with no sagging. This set has been in one home with one owner since it was made in the 1950's. That home was a non-smoking and no-pet home. The fabric appears to be a very thick, heavy nylon blend. The seating area measures 53″ wide x 22″ deep and the seat height is 20″ This exquisite buttoned green leather Chesterfield sofa would look great in any room! The buttoned leather backrest is perfectly worn in. The rolled arms are held tight with rows of brass brads that provide a little contrast to the leather. Each of the three removable cushions was recently re-stuffed in England. The base is bordered with a double row of buttons. The four mahogany tapered feet are strong and sturdy.
