Lot of four(4) vintage Herman Miller Eames shell chairs(shells only) Green Set of 4(four) original vintage Herman Miller Eames green fiberglass side chair shells. Please note this auction is for shells only(no bases) All 4 chairs have raised Herman Miller logo on undersides. There is also one loose round foil silver and white Charles Eames/ Herman Miller/ Zeeland Michigan medallion which fell off one of the chairs. Through description and photos I'm trying to describe all flaws although the chairs are overall in good condition and will be very nice with a good clean up and polish. Chair#1. Shell has no chips. Holes or cracks. Minimal edgewear/light scuffs. See photo of bottom. Back has raised Herman Miller logo, stamped number and also embossed letter"B" Chair#2. Shell has no holes or cracks. There is a 1/2" scuff/nick ... morealong edge of chair(viewer's right) near top. Shown with blue stickie. It is not quite a chip but you can feel that the edge is rough in that spot and see it if you look. Otherwise, light scuffing and wear along edges. Back has raised Herman Miller logo, stamped number and also embossed letter"B" Chair#3. Shell has no holes or splits. There are some spots where color is faded/discolored.see photo. One squarish spot is noticeable. Where the seat meets the back(see blue sticky with arrow) and then there are some more minimally faded areas on the upper half. Edge is scuffed and slightly cracked at top left edge of chair. It is not broken and the area is completely sturdy. On the top right back edge there is a shallow crack that does not go through chair or affect sturdiness. It is not very noticeable but can be felt when running hand along edge. These two issues are pictured below in close-up. Otherwise, chair#3 has minimal scuffing and wear along edges. Back has stamped number and raised Herman Miller logo. Chair#4. Shell has areas of slight fading/discoloration but not much. Some scuffing/fading along edges. There is an area not quite 1" long on viewer's lef

TWO Vintage Herman Miller Eames Fiberglass Shell Chairs- GREY Up for auction is two Vintage Herman Miller Side Shell Chairs- Grey in Color; IN FAIR CONDITION These chairs were from an estate. They are scratched. Faded/water marks? have scratches, scuffs and a couple peel marks? They appear to have had sat outside for a period of time but not sure how long. And the edges are worn and has one ding mark on the back side edge(see picture) it doesn't go all the way through the edge it is only one sided. One chair has some spots on the back and bottom of the chair. There are four shock mounts on each chair, but only three screws/bolts per chair so one chair is missing one bolt; the screw/bolts are somewhat rusty as well. One chairs mounts are also missing part of the rubber/glue that holds the mount on if you zoom in on the pictures you can ... moresee it. Please review pictures as they are a part of this description and so you can see more of the condition in your own detail. I haven't seen any cracks or chips, just wear along the edges and scratches on the chairs. There are no labels on the bottoms of these chairs only the embossed markings. I have combined those markings into one picture. The marking with the circled star-like is on the bottom of the one with the spots on it, the one with the circled"S" is on the bottom of the other one. These are good sturdy chairs and with a little TLC can become great chairs once again. Nice fibers and fair color- there is fading(water marks) on the seats of both chairs, just need to be cleaned up a bit and a little reconditioning is all. THIS AUCTION DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BASES! Great pair of vintage DCM chairs by Charles Eames for Herman Miller. Middle 1950's production( judging from the foil labels) Both chairs are in very good vintage condition. One chair has had the shock mounts for the backrest repaired at some point but the bond seems to be holding well. Both chairs have unusual metal glides. One chair has a small chip to the veneer on the top front of the seat back. The other chair has a chip on the underside of the front edge which isn't visible when upright. ARNE NORELL WHITE ARI CHAIRS Mid Century Modern Eames Knoll Barcelona Kjaerholm
A matching pair of Arne Norell Ari Chairs from the mid 60s or early 70s. These are very collectible. Mid-century modern, lounge chairs designed by Arne Norell. In 1973, he was posthumously awarded British Furniture Manufacturer's"Showpiece of the year" award for this chair. A single chair with an ottoman recently went for 6250.00 at Wright Auctions. see the following link. Here we have two in the very. Very rare and desirable original white leather finish. I see very few of these chairs come up for sale and I’ve personally never seen any come up in a white finish. The chairs are in fair condition overall with some condition issues. There are several black leather belts that are strapped across the stainless steel frame. The leather on the belts is dry and several of the belts have tears in the belt hook eyes. One of the belts ... morehas a small piece that has been torn to the point to being secured only by the stitches holding it. The leather on the cushions and head rests is dry as well though not as dry as the belts and in need of some cleaning. One of the head rests has an area with some very small dots of discoloration as though something might have stained it. One of the straps that attach the main chair has a tear that was professionally repaired(shown in photo) I’ve photographed this as well. The stainless steel frame has some minor rust pitting. Also, the plastic feet caps are missing which is typical of these chairs as they usually wore out years ago. I’ve loved these chairs for years but it’s time to let them go. For auction are two vintage Knoll armless bentwood chairs designed by Bill Stephens. One in red and one in purple. While the frames are in excellent condition overall, they will need to be reupholstered. The foam padding has turned to yellow dust, a common problem with chairs of this era unfortunately. The fabric itself is in great shape, though dusty from the dried-out padding, and could probably be reused if desired. The legs and frames are free of scuffs and scratches. Though one frame has a separated corner joint at the top(an easy fix with a clamp and glue) and one chair has a small ding in the wood on the top left side. The chairs measure: 31" from the tip of the backrest down to the floor 17" from the seat down to the floor The seat is 19" wide The widest part of the backing is 16" wide These chairs were Made In Scandinavia There are no apparent tears in the vinyl fabric at all. These are originals and have been in my grandparents home since they were purchased in the 1950's. These are very similar to the Herman Miller but they are not marked except for one has an'SX' or'XS' marking molded in. These chairs have pieces of wood and gold foil embedded in the fiberglass. 3 are very nice with little wear. One has more wear and a very small crack. They measures 16.5" tall by 18.75" wide by approximately 20" front to back. A couple have paint specks that will clean off but overall they are very clean condition. They each have four embedded mounting bolts. The bolts measure approximately 7 1/4" center to center side to side, 7 1/8" center to center front to back, and 9 3/4" center to center diagonal. They will ... morecome with mounting hardware for size reference but you will probably want to replace as the nuts are rusty and the rubber washers are worn with a couple missing. The white leather chairs are very sturdy and no problems with the sturdyness, no damage or repairs to the wood that I am aware of. One of the arm chairs has the most amount of wear. One of the arms has most of the finish rubbed off(pictured) also the seat will need redone. Some of the chairs have some yellowing to them or build up in the seams due to ... moreage. The round table top in a large area looks like the top clear coat has a little flaking and doesnt feel smooth as the rest of the table. It has some wear you will see in the light such as a couple large rings like something was sitting on it. There is a couple small scratches from normal use. A very expensive set my parents bought new and is in excellent condition considering it's 50+ years old; hasn't been used much from the mid-60's on. The wood is absolutely beautiful as you can see by the pictures. warm tones that truly enhance the room and create an inviting setting. The set consists of: round dining table with one leaf to make it rectangular; small credenza with shelf; large credenza with shelves. Silverware divider drawer, plate rack slots; four side chairs and two arm chairs. The credenzas ... moreclose with a magnetic push lock. The table and credenzas have always been covered by a 1/4" pane of clear glass to protect the wood surface. The chairs were professionally recovered in an antique off-white scroll pattern material a few years ago. All the pieces are in excellent condition with no significant damage; no repairs have ever been necessary. A nice eBay member contacted me to tell me that Kipp Stewart and Stuart MacDougall were the chair designers. Created in 1958. The set is solid walnut and the chairs are each gracefully hand-crafted with rosewood inlay. I did a little research on them and they were very well known artists and designers of the mid-century, modern, Eames-era movement. Since then I've found several ads for just the chairs at $5,000 and more. Apparently they're becoming harder to find, so take advantage of aquiring the entire set for half of what you'd pay in an antique store. This is your opportunity to purchase a set of 5 of the ORIGINAL Herman Miller Elephant Grey chairs. This color was one of the original 6 colors that Herman Miller produced. These chairs are dated January 1961. Four of the five are dark grey overall. This pair of(2) Eames for Herman Miller side chairs are upholstered in a lovely Alexander Girard"hopsack" polyknit textile. THEY WOULD LOOK AMAZING ON DOWEL BASES! These are a beautiful color red. Black rubber trim is in good shape. Only very minor scuffs can be found under close inspection. Fabric has some minor"pilling" or balling that is normal due to age. No obvious staining. Well made(solid& sturdy) and very comfortable. With a 15% lean of back; indicative of"High-in Design. These are most definitely" statement" pieces and would look amazing floating in a room to showcase the bentwood detailing and design along the sides and back! CONDITION: Excellent. ABOVE average vintage condition with little wear commensurable to age and little use. The upholstery is in very good condition with NO fading. No noticeable rips or tears, other than small pick on upper right side(see pic) a small hole@ zipper, on bottom of back cushion.see pic) Neither is noticeable and can be easily mended. The classic mid-century Eames fiberglass pair shell chairs. Manufactured by Herman Miller. Once common. Original mid-century Herman Miller chairs are becoming increasingly hard to find in this good condition, and color. Featuring a lovely royal blue. These chairs are in very good condition for their age. The shell's have nice even color overall. The wear is minor. The front of both shells are beautiful. And both still retain their sheen. There is some wear along the top and side edges of the shells from being stacked(they are stacking chairs after all! but nothing major Just a few of the individual fibers on both seats have darkened. There are a couple of scratches/scuff due to age on both chairs. The metal base's are in good vintage condition. But do have some surface wear as is to be expected for their age. 8 Vtg MCM 60's 70's InterRoyal Meeting Dining Table Side Chairs Eames Baughman
This is a beautiful set of 8 high quality upholstered and chrome Interroyal chairs labeled and dated Aug 1971. Six of the chairs are complete and excellent overall. Two of the chairs however have some cosmetic issues and are missing feet/glides and chrome caps that cover the 3/4" chrome leg and seat tubes. All of the fabric upholstery is very good with very minimal wear and no rips or tears and most have full or partial labels as well as writing on the bottom from the previous owner. The cushions are all soft and very comfortable with no odors. Of the six complete chairs, the chrome is very good with mild tarnish although they have not been polished recently. The two incomplete chairs, one has heavier tarnish especially underneath and some creasing on the seat cushion and a small cracked portion of the cushion foundation underneath, ... morethe other incomplete chair has moderate to heavy chrome flaking and loss to the chair frame. Overall however it is a great group of beautifully styled chairs and the two incomplete chairs could be put back in service with TLC. They measure 31" high at the back, 20 1/2" wide and 18 3/4 depth and are very heavy. I am selling these as is and offering as pick up only. They are located zip code 01106 approx 20 minutes north of Hartford CT. I can also meet at a mutually convenient location in the Hartford area if that helps. RARE MURIEL COLEMAN IRON DINING TABLE/CHAIRS EAMES MCCOBB GROSSMAN CONOVER KNOLL
California Modern iron dining set by Muriel Coleman for Pacifica design group and manufactured by her company California Contemporary. Extremely hard to find. As is most of her furniture. Everything original except for new teal blue vinyl seats. All pieces have their original chrome glides intact. Came directly out of an estate in Washington state. The chairs are solid iron, as is the dining room table. The back of the chairs mirror the design of the dining table. Very solid and well-made. The dining room table is very rare and the design is quite nice. Milo Baughman did a very similar design for Pacific Iron. The differences here compared to the Milo Baughman design is that the understructure of the legs are welded to the four corners. The Milo Baughman one the legs are not. The glides are also different on the Pacific Iron Milo Baughman ... moretable. They most likely collaborated with this design- who designed it first? That is the question. In any case, fabulous design. The top of the table has a rubber strip that runs along the top to cushion the glass, which just sits on it. If you've seen her desk, it has the same rubber strip on the top with the glass sitting on it. The strip is somewhat deteriorated but can be left alone or replaced easily with a reasonable facsimile. The glass has scratches and wear. It can be left alone, for the purists, or replaced with a new piece inexpensively. The set fits perfectly in a smaller apartment or even as your main dining set depending on your requirements. The dimension on the dining table is 54 X 34 X 29 high. Again. This is a collector's piece as furniture from Muriel Coleman, and her esteemed colleagues- Luther Conover, Milo Baughman, etc. are pretty hard to find.
