I purchased these at an estate sale here in Santa Fe from a woman who had lived many years in Finland and returned to Santa Fe with all of her European furniture. The credenza behind the sofa was from the same estate.NFS) These pieces are very well constructed and appear hand crafted with an excellent grade of premium dyed leather. I am not sure of the age of these unique pieces and there is no maker’s mark to be found. The leather is supple with no apparent wear. Scuffs or cracks of any kind. The 8 cushions are separate and are full leather on front and back with zipper. I did have the cushion foam replaced this past year. Both the chair and sofa have a full leather back side. The Steelcase Soft Seating line was designed by Warren Platner in the early 70's and manufacturing began in 1974 by Steelcase Inc. after his work with Knoll. The Soft Seating line is made of fiberglass shells over clear Lucite bases and finished with leather upholstery. The idea behind the line is that the seating would appear to be floating above the surface on which it sits. Giving it a light, comfortable feel in contrast to its rigid fiberglass casings. Although the appearance of the set gives the impression of being quite stiff or rigid, it is actually one of the most comfortable seats you may ever have the pleasure of sitting on. Both the side chairs as well as the sofa provide the utmost comfort while maintaining the bold, simplistic attributes of modernism. This specific set was manufactured in 1975. The last year of its two year ... moreproduction run, as indicated by the tags throughout the pieces. Each piece has its own label which indicates the model number, year of manufacture, as well as the operator who built the piece and a key indicating the various models and patents. The set up for auction contains everything pictured. The large sofa, two side chairs, and the two side tables including the mirrors. In total it is the full 5-piece suite. Within the suite. Each of the pieces has small, minor chips and scrapes throughout. The back of the sofa is the only area with widespread scratches or scuffs. These flaws were already prevalent when I received the pieces; it seems as if the sofa was against a white wall sometime within its life(these blemishes can be seen in one of the posted photos above) The Lucite/Perspex bases are all in wonderful condition, there are no major scratches or any cracks whatsoever. The leather is in good used condition, there are no rips nor are there any tears, just normal wear on the edges over the years. The leather has been cleaned but could use a conditioning if desired. 1920's Antique/Vintage Karpen Brown Sofa/Couch and Chair Living Room Set, Velmo
Late 1920's Karpen Brothers sofa/couch and chair. Made of Velmo(velour& mohair) I'm pretty sure this came from the Chicago factory. The set has a resemblence to the Charles II style Karpen had sold. I believe the wood carving is mahogany wood. The cushions are tapestry on one side and can be reversed to solid brown velmo on the other. Selling as-is- it has been well used. The entire set is need of reupholstering and I am in no way inferring that it is otherwise. The backs. Arms, and feet are still solid. The carving at the top of the chair is cracked but it is all there and can be glued. This is a vintage. 1950's two piece, green, sofa set. It has two sections and they are armless. The color is green and the fabric is in excellent condition. Each sofa measures 56 inches long, 37 inches deep and 30 inches tall at the back. These were bought new in Duluth by my sister in 1959. They have been in her spare bedroom for many years, rarely used and free of any tears, stains, spots or worn areas. They have the original fabric. The sofas have always been in a pet and smoke free environment. There is no manufacturing name visible. The photos seem to show some spots, but they are actually fuzz from the bed spread used to cover the sofas. NOTE: The item is located in Duluth. Vintage Rattan 3 piece sofa. Two chairs, two end tables, and coffee table. From my limited research, I believe these are from Paul Frankl, but I can not really be sure. My parents purchased this set while stationed in Japan in 1954. So my mother believes that this authentic Japanese made rattan furniture. All pieces are in great condition, and the cushions have an oriental bamboo design in a light green fabric. All the backing is in great shape, with the only known issue being the bottom of one of the coffee table bases being tacked back together. Please see all pictures for detail condition. Victorian / Provincial style Couch & Chair set SOFA
Sofa and Chair set in good used condition. Set was purchased in the 1960's and has been re-upholstered once. Wood accents are in good shape. Minor leg damage noted in pictures. Couch is 84" Long. 3 cushions are approximately 21" deep, over couch is approximately 32" deep(Back to front) Legs are 8" Chair is approximately 30" wide, also 32" deep. In good condition as it is or a great project if you are handy with work work and upholstery. Sold As Is- Local pick up only in Calvert County Maryland within 7 days of auction end.

Offered for sale. A fantastic set of Ficks Reed Rattan furniture. Manufactured in the 1960's and highly collected for its style and craftsmanship. These were all hand made and have a beautiful rich color. Could use metal cleaning. Both are in very good condition with some light condition issues. The chair has some binding missing. This should be taken care of with light glue. This will also be listed locally on craigslist and will be removed if sold. Cushions are not included. Sofa and chair 1950's Matching Set Sea Foam Green Mid-Century modern
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an original 1950's matching couch and chair. I Love Lucy eat your heart out. Near MINT! You can't find anything like it. When I first saw the chair the Star Trek theme played in my head. Everyone calls the chair. Because it's too cool. The sofa's no slouch either. These were one owner when I got them. The only reason I am willing to sell them is because we have a baby due in April. Now it's microfiber. Stain-proof and no style for me. This would be perfect for a SET DESIGNER or someone who wants to have a period correct home. The light plays off the material in such a cool way, I hope it came through on the photos. The stuffing is 1950's technology, so cotton, springs and what not. I would suggest if you were to really want to use and enjoy, you should stuff with memory ... morefoam or something. They are fine, but we all are used to marshmallow couches. There is very minor damage from our cat using the chair as a highway to his cat stand.
