And after 20 years of use and enjoyment we are selling as we downsize in our retirement years. This is the Connoisseur-level of quality(the highest of three levels Southwood offered. Vintage Queen Anne Blue Velvet Tufted Sofa - FREIGHT SHIPPING OR PICKUP
For sale I have a vintage velvet Queen Anne blue tufted sofa. Sofa has rolled arms with brass nail trim. It measures 74 inches long. The height is 36(middle back of sofa) seat is 20 inches deep. There is some fading on edges( see photos) as well as a on the seat. I've been told this could be touched up with matching dye/ink? Legs are faux wood, I do not know the age of this couch. I believe it's a reproduction but still a vintage piece from 60's or 70's? I did not attempt to clean couch, will leave up to buyer. A stunning antique-style American Queen-Anne/ Chippendale transitional chair back day bed. Also used as a settee or fainting bench. These are as scarce as hens teeth and there are only a few originals known to exist in museums. Early reproductions are just as rare and complement the finest period homes. It is approximately 40 inches high. 23 1/2 inches wide, and 70 inches long with a seat height of 17 inches, and is in excellent overall condition. The caned seat is in great shape too.
