Item Description: Listed is this Mid Century Daybed/Sofa/Bench. Sturdy daybed/bench/sofa. With wood frame platform and wrought iron hairpin legs and wrought iron back support. I believe this was manufactured piece, although no makers tag or marking found, not a home craft/hobby build, but at some point it was reupholstered by a novice in the current rust orange tone vinyl. I consider this a re-upholstery piece, as the upholstery has imperfections such as spots, scrapes, and a few small tears and home repairs and you will want new foam cushions too because of age. Looks like previous owner spray painted legs black while legs were still attached. Great foundation to work with, ready for buyer's make-over. The piece has new fabric, but could be recovered again if you desire. All the pieces were completely gone over. The wood was refinished. Retro black faux leather/naugahyde/vinyl couch and matching chair from the 60's or 70's. Attached cushions with button tufts. The legs screw onto the bottom and can be easily replaced with something a little more sleek looking if you like. The set is in really good shape. I found only a tiny puncture hole.no real holes or tears. The left side end of the sofa is a little bit faded compared to the rest. The the first set of pictures I had polished it up with mink oil and the fading pretty much disappeared. It has sat in a warehouse for several months and the fading is again noticeable(see last pic) It's not bad at all.not real noticeable. But it is there. In a yellow tweed with hints of brown to make it go well with the warm tone of the walnut wood on the front trim and the legs. They are in great condition and are very comfortable! Mid-Century Retro Vintage Antique 1950s Green Sofa Couch & Chair Recovered 1960s
This auction is for a 1950's Vintage Mid-Century Retro Floral Green Couch and Chair that has been recovered in the 1960's. The color just pops off of the couch and chair. There are springs in the cushions. As well as, int he couch for better bounce. It has been been steamed cleaned by a professional the chair and the couch both just a few weeks ago. The couch underneath has a small rip in the black see through fabric. Please see pictures. One of the four metal bars has come loose and the black see through fabric will have to be pulled away in that area to tighten the bar back in place. They made things well years ago. There is a small worn area on the corner of one of the cushions on the couch but hard to see. When you remove the couch cushions you will see a stained area. Oxi clean can probably get that out.
