Wood slat back with the original upholstered zippered seat and back cushions(red) CONDITION: Great vintage condition with typical wear due to age and use. The wood is in excellent condition– minor dings and marks due to age and use. The upholstery is faded and worn. The foam in the seat cushions is a bit more broken down/compressed than the foam in the back cushions. The couch strapping is sturdy the way it is now as someone has added extra strapping and an inner frame along the bottom frame of the couch– in order to attach the extra strapping from side to side(to support the original front to back strapping that had lost elasticity) Only visible with cushions off of the couch. However. It you want to bring it back ... moreto its original glory, the strapping underneath the seat cushions needs to be replaced. Here is a Danish style Teak Coffee Table. Designed by Edvard Kindt-Larsen for the France& Sons company. This dates to the late 50s or early 60s. It came from a smoke and pet free home. The table measures approx 47.5 long x 20 wide x 18 inches Tall This table features all teak construction. But the top is likely not solid teak, it has teak edge lips on both ends. The tapered legs and horizontal support beams are likely solid teak. This table retains its original circular France& Sons mark on underside of top. Along with stamped Danish mark. Condition: I rate the condition 8 or 9 on a 1-10 scale. But its vintage. And my vintage eyes think its just fine. Upon first looking at this table. You think its brand new, I only dusted it off before the pictures. I sat it in my living room for a week. And after seeing it every day, started to ... moresee some of the very light scratches in the top surface. They are not apparent right away. But there is a 12 x 10 area where some surface was scuffed very lightly. I would probably never be able to photo this light scuff. But have tried. Otherwise its very tight and clean. 1960s Danish Modern Teak Sofa Great solid teak sofa with strong graining. Eight legs and sculptural arms. The wood frame is in good condtion showing normal nicks. Dings and scratches consistent with its vintage age. Strong. Solid and sturdy-holding its occupents with ease. The cushions have newer upholstery done in the last year or so. They hold their shape well and are very comfortable to sit on. There are no rips. Tears or funny smells but they are a little dirty. Vintage Designer Danish Teak Couch
Vintage 1974 Danish Teak Designer Couch. Amazingly well preserved! Purchased in 1974 from a high end Scandinavian furniture store in Racine Wisconsin. It is high quality. There has been only one owner and it was stored for a long period of time, so it has held up extremely well. The wood frame is teak wood and only has some minor scratches. No structure issues. It sits low to the ground and for an old guy is hard to get in and out of: It has leather straps woven on the bottom and one has broken. See photo) The measurements of the frame are 74" long, arm height 19" back height 21" and 31" deep. The cushions are well made with tough fabric. They are clean and in good shape except for the left arm rest. While it was in storage something got to it. I didn't fix it because some people can live with it like it is or may ... morehave better sources for repair than I. The cushions sit low. 15" from the ground in the front, as was the style then, and they are 5" thick. With the cushions attached the overall dimensions are 78" long arm to arm. VINTAGE 1970s MODERN DANISH SELIG SOFA or COUCH , TEAK WOOD, MADE IN DENMARK
Description This is a vintage 1960s-1970s Danish modernist sofa. It is made in Denmark for SELIG which is a highly collected Danish maker of modern style furniture. It measures 74 inches in total length. 26 inches in height. It is original clean finish. It is missing the seat cushion which would be 67x21 inches. It is missing 1 or 2 of the rubber straps, plus a number of the original rubber straps have age cracks or are over stretched so you will need to replace some of the strapping. The only blemish to the sofa is there are a few little marks(indentations) on the back crest area, i did do a close of pic of a couple, there are a few other marks like that. Due to the size i cannot ship this out by normal shippers. It can either be picked up here on Cape Cod(zip code 02653) or i can recommend a couple of freight shippers. Each one has a web ... moresite where you can fill out a shipping price quote, and they usually get back within 24 hours of how much it would cost to your location. Domino Mobler sofa. In very good condition considering it's age and use.is approx. 72" wide x 30" tall x 30" deep. The fabric(wool. I believe) is in great condition with very little wear at all, no stains, tears or bad smells.one cushion has original tag attached and I have no reason to believe the upholstery has ever been replaced. Oatmeal color with a nubby texture, and since it's wool, yes, it's a bit scratchy.so if you're sensitive to that please don't buy a wool sofa! Appears to be a nice, heavy fabric that will wear well. There are a few"pulls" in the fabric but they are minor and hard to see with it's texture. The area around the screws that attach the cushions to the frame are a bit worn and dirty. I do not know if this sofa has been in a smoking enviornment, it doesn't smell like ... moresmoke. I do have cats but they have not been on the sofa ever, I do not know if the sofa previously ever had pets on it but I do not see any sign of that. The wood frame(teak) is in good-very good condition. The finish is in good shape with no discernible fading. There are scratches, most of them pictured, in the following locations: base of the legs has the worst scuffs/scratches/marks, including some that are quite long. Some of this may be surface and removable, I've made no attempt to clean or refinish the wood. There is a small nick/scratch on top of one arm, pictured. There is a scratch on underside of one arm, and some on the front rail under the cushions. The front top of the posts have some light scratches, and there are heavy scratches and wear in the areas where to cushions attach to the frame's hardware. Please note that almost all of the worst scratches, etc. are in locations that are normally either not readily visible or hard to see. The left side posts and rails are coming a bit detached from each other, this can be easily repaired.you can see the slight gap in one picture. Update to comments in RED.I've since disassembled this end of the sofa and found at some point someone glued these pieces together causing the separation(I think it was dong long ago as the glue was old and dried out)I(carefully) disassembled this end and removed the old glue. Then reassembled it. So now the gaps are much tighter and it looks better. I did notice that some glue had gotten on to the finish and so add that to the list of scratches, etc. that you may want to remove.I didn't attempt it. Domino Mobler sofa. There are a few"pulls" in the fabric but they are minor and hard to see within it's texture. The area around the screws that attach the cushions to the frame are a bit worn and dirty. I do not know if this sofa has been in a smoking enviornment, it doesn't smell like smoke. I do have cats but they have not been on the sofa ever, I do not know if the sofa previously ever had pets on or around it. The wood frame(teak) is in good-very good condition. The finish is in good shape with no discernible fading. There are scratches, most of them pictured, in the following locations: base of the legs has the worst scuffs/scratches/marks(i.e. old paint bits) including some that are quite long. Some of this may be surface and removable, I've made no attempt to clean or refinish the wood. There is a small nick/scratch on top of one arm, pictured.
