Vintage 1970’s Whiskey Barrel Table& 4 Chairs Up for auction is a complete set of vintage Barrel Bar Furniture. Originally sold by JC Penney. This would be the perfect addition to any basement rec room, bar, or man cave. These have sold recently for as high as $1,600. Condition The vinyl is in perfect condition. No tears. Fraying, or even discoloration. The cushions are very strong. The barrels are in excellent shape with no marks to speak of. The legs are also in good shape. The table is similar. There is one very very small chip in the surface. I didn’t take a picture because I couldn’t get one that clearly shows it. It’s about 2mm right on the edge. A tiny dab of wood filler will fix. The banding is good and in place. There is a gap in it, but I think it is factory, as there is no cracking at it and its straight. Shipping This set ... moreis heavy! Fresh out of a smoke free estate, the couch and chairs look great and feel great as well, I am not into this style of furniture(we normally buy primitives for our store) but when we seen this on a house call me and my wife knew we had to buy it, all three items are in excellent condition, no staining at all that we can see, no rips or tears either( I can see only one pinky size tear in the webbing underneath one chair) some of the legs have tape brown electric style tape wrapped around them I didn't take this off I think this was done to protect them from scuffing. The legs are slanted and they are all very tight, no wobbling. The cushions on the couch are the same design front and back while the chair cushions have the same green look on one ... moreside and on the other it has a 1960's patio furniture floral design(it is a cloth style fabric) the items all have a maker badge of"International" We had sold this couch a few hours initially after listing it last week, the man who had bought it realized it was not going to fit down the hallway of his apartment, so here it is again for sale. The man that bought this says it is the style of an Adrian Pearsall piece. This is very clean and there should be reason to have it reupholstered. Ready to be but in your living room right now. In the 50s my sister purchased this set at J.C. Pennys and I inherited it. The vinyl is in perfect condition. No tears. Fraying, or even discoloration. The cushions are very strong. The barrels are in excellent shape with no marks to speak of. The legs are also in good shape. The table also in great shape. The banding is good and in place. The worst of the wear is on the back side of one of the chairs and on one of the arms of the chairs(see pictures) The bench with 3 arms on it measures approximately 67" wide. 24" from front to back, and 33" tall. Bauhaus Chairs (2) vintage chairs black and chrome red casters add 5" to height
I purchased these used at a vintage store in Detroit about 20 years ago. They are Bauhaus chairs. These were the early development of apartment furnishings. Ridiculous cheap for these one chair alone is worth more in the right circles. Lightweight and strong to support weight. I added fantastic Bright Red Casters. Top of the line to give mobility and more comfort to a classic style. The frames are slightly different- where the hand rests are. One is slightly rounded and the other flat, indicating their time periods. verify for your self. Available for local pick up. But if some one needs these and will pay whatever is going rate to ship them, then it may be possible to do that. Anyways these are awesome. I personally need to relocate and these need to be sold. Vintage, Howard-Parlor furniture company, Sofas, Chaises, Chairs, 70's
They were made by the Howard-Parlor furniture company in the 70's. They feature golden yellow and orange velvet(tag reads"blended cotton felt" upholstery that is in great vintage condition with no holes. Tears, or smells(there are a couple small spots on the orange seat) There is lots of life left in them! There is even extra fabric for both chairs that has been kept with the chairs since they were purchased. The chairs and ottomans have nice curved lines with the ottomans fitting into the shape of the chairs. The cushions on the chairs are removable and the cushions on the ottomans are attached. They are comfortable and big. The ottomans are on casters and each of the chairs has two casters under the front and two short wood peg legs under the back. This makes them easy to move. The dimensions of the chairs are approx 26' ... moretall. 40' wide, 34' deep, with a seat depth of 26.5' The dimensions of the ottomans are approx 15' tall. 35' wide, and 25' deep. If you are not in NYC they can be shipped via greyhound bus which is how I got them to NY. We would have to figure out the price depending on where you are. but when they were shipped to me from Michigan it was around $200 bucks just so you have an idea.
