Pair of vintage MCM Ingmar Relling Westnofa Siesta Chairs ---Midcentury modern
Up for sale is a beautiful pair of vintage low-back Midcentury Modern Westnofa Siesta Chairs. They are a beautiful orange/brown leather with black wood frames. They are in very good condition for their age. Once chair has a spot that looks like someone tried to make a stain repair and did not match the leather(see picture) The other chair has no major stains but does have a button that has come loose on the bottom cushion(I do have the button and this should be an easy repair) The canvas on both chairs is in very good to excellent condition with no holes. Rips, or tears. I believe once chair must have received more sun or wear because it has faded into a slightly different color. The leather cushions are very soft with no major cracking or peeling. On the back of the cushions once chair has an elastic piece that holds the cushion in place ... morewhile the other has string that matches the canvas webbing. I am not sure which is original/ correct but this is not really noticeable when the cushions are in place. It is becoming difficult to find a pair of these chairs in good shape. I looked for a long time before locating these but unfortunately we have no room for them after remodeling. These chairs can be shipped but will most likely need to have the frames taken apart to ship pretty reasonably. The chairs can be put back together with the allen keys in about 10 mins a chair. Shipping will most likely be around $75-$100 depending on location. If you would like them shipped whole this would more than likely have to go freight which will raise the shipping cost. They measure about 37" high(17" seat) 18" wide, and 18 1/2" deep. The chairs are in normal vintage condition. seats need new upholstery, some scuffs here and there, structurally sound. Knoll TULIP [Saarinen] (4) Swivel Chairs Armchairs Mid-Century Modern Midcentury
Fresh out of an estate kitchen. Set of four(4) Knoll TULIP[Eero Saarinen] swivel armchairs. These all carry the Knoll“BR50” cast into the bases. Some have paper labels. This set is not new and not pristine, it’s been in use for over 30 years. There are small scratches. Etc. If you’re looking for perfect. This is not for you, but no major flaws, no big cracks or gouges, all swivel fine. That being said. They need a good cleaning with elbow grease to get rid of some grime, especially on backs and bottoms. Bases have flea bites here and there around the edges. Nothing terrible; you have to look close, but they’re there. One chair needs more cleaning than the others and has some rust that needs to be removed at the disk holding the armchair swivel to the base, not hard but you probably should know what you’re doing or know somebody. There are ... morethree cushions(so one is missing) nice color, foam is ok but not great. The cushion cases are a nice fabric with above-average-quality zippers(also need a good cleaning) and are nicely made. But they don’t seem to be original and they fit the foam pads a little loose. So. All that being said, chairs are being sold in"AS IS" condition. Please feel free to email me any questions! The chairs are located in NYC near the George Washington Bridge. Local curb delivery(50 mile radius from GWB) available for $50. Delivery along the Thruway as far as Albany available for $100. Local pick-up is always available at a mutually convenient time and.
