Antique Completely Restored Oak Hotel Washstand with Mirror Chest Dresser No Res
You are bidding on a hotel washstand that has been completely restored by a professional refinisher. It is in more or less perfect condition now. It is finished in a medium oak color with minwax provential stain. Finished with several coats of Sherwin Williams sand& sealer and two coats of Sherwin Williams top coat water proof lacquer. The entire piece of furniture has been sprayed and sealed good, including drawer bottoms, back and bottom of the piece. The solid brass has been cleaned and lightly polished with jewelers rough. The finish is hand-rubbed and it looks like it has just be waxed. The bevel mirror is original, has some distortation because of age. The towel bar including the bar itself is all original. The base comes apart from the towel bar and mirror for easy transport. As you can see the back looks just about as good as ... morethe front. Be sure to check out the paneled sides, carvings, hardware, it has everything. The price is right too so if you are in the market for an investment quality washstand, here it is. Up for auction is a RARE ANTIQUE OAK SALESMAN'S SAMPLE Miniature EASTLAKE MIRRORED BUREAU/ DRESSER Circa 1870-1885. Includes antique oak ornate Eastlake style mirrored dresser with candle holders and lift up compartment on bureau. Ornate applied molding at top of fancy scrolled mirror frame. Mirror can tilt. Grid lines on drawer fronts are typical of Eastlake style of the late 19th century. Regarding wood color, it is a medium oak color(looks a bit more red/orange in the photos) Any dark areas are shadows and white areas are reflections. As you can see this is a wonderful piece and could be used in many places in a home, whether as a miniature Salesman's Sample or a doll bureau for dolls. Condition is very good, sturdy and clean, ... moreno odors, ready to go into your home. As with most antiques, it has it's minor flaws, nothing to totally distract from it's beauty, or usability, aged wood has such character. It does have some chips, dings, and marks, and one missing drawer pull. I chose to sell this item with the original pulls and it is your choice to replace them with 6 other pulls if you wish, or find a matching plain black knob. Seems to be original finish but I am not sure. Could be improved with restoration but again that is your choice. Drawers work fair, no sticking. Mirror is in very good condition and has wide bevel, might be new, and is missing the wooden backing. One peg missing underneath mirror outer frame but other three hold it in place fine. Mirror frame is attached to bureau with pegs that just slip into holes in the bureau ledge, and more brackets in back. All in all a fabulous miniature! Hard to find miniature Eastlake style. Being offered here is a vintage three drawer dresser with exquisite architectural lines and hardware. Please view pictures for details. We are not sure if the wood is walnut or oak. The overall height of this chest measures 66 ½" tall and overall 38 3/8" wide. The marble top measures 17 ½" deep and is 38 3/8" wide. The dresser is 17" deep and 36 ½" wide. The beveled glass on the mirror measures 29 ½" wide and 23 ½" tall. The wheels make this furniture stand 2" off of the floor. One of the knots in the wood on the backside has a whole in it. We did not notice any cracks in the wood on this chest. It has wonderfully old patina and the brass hardware is stunning on the burl finish of the dovetailed drawers. Beautiful Oak Eastlake design 3 Drawer Dresser with Mirror. Circa 1890 I am downsizing and moving soon. So I am forced to part with some of my treasures. I have had this piece for over 30 years. It is in fantastic shape. Very beautiful intricate carved accents. It measures: 18 3/4" deep. 38" long, and 70" total height to top of mirror. for sale a very nice antique quartersawn oak dresser with original beveled mirror and hardware. dresser is serpentine in the front which is a very desirable and somewhat rare feature. it has a great carved harp for the mirror which hopefully the pictures will show. it has abundant quartersawn flake on the top and all the drawers and dividers. the finish is overall in very good condition. There is a couple of dark spots where i expect someone laid a cigarette. the mirror has never been resilvered and is a bit smokey but is in good condition and quite functional. i would not have it redone as the smokey appearance just adds patina as far as i am concerned. the piece is quite heavy and very solid, no loose joints, wiggles, or wobbles. the drawer joints are dovetail, probably made about 1895-1905. it is a large dresser being 73 inches tall without ... morecasters, 48 inches wide, and 22.5 inches deep. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. i can arrange shipping it that be of benefit to anyone. good luck.

for sale is a very nice serpentine quartersawn oak dresser with an intricate cut beveled mirror housed within its frame. to cut that mirror today with the bevel would cost a minimum of 800.00. at any rate this is a wonderful solid dresser with no issues to report other than the mirror is a bit smokey and has lost a wee bit of silver. it has great carving with much detail. the top is solid quartersawn oak of the highest quality. hardware is all original. the casters are new. the top is serpentine as well as the front. it is 50 inches wide at it widest point. 24 inches deep at the widest point. it is 82 inches tall being 36.5 inches to the top surface of the dresser. it has a claw type foot. i managed to dig this out of an upstairs bedroom set. i have included a few pictures of the bed. Description Large Victorian Heavily Carved Gothic Revival Dresser. One of the most fantastic dressers it's ever been my pleasure to own. C arving to most surfaces including the edge of th e plank oak lower se ction top. The oak has aged wonderfully with wear through in many places to the natural wood colour. The patination is great and tells the tale of it's hi story beautifully. The dresser itself is constructed in a quality rustic method. The upper section planks are pushed thro ugh and pegged. The lower section is made of oak throughout and is a str uggle for 2 people to carry. It's THAT heavy! The whole lower unit is peg construction. That's the highest quality cabinet construction method. Even now. The handles are G eorgian style batwing one s. They could well be G eorgian ones from an early cabinet. The centre section ... morehas four drawer fronts on it. The upper two are a drop down drinks cabinet/bureau, the lower two are a pull out nine bottle wine cell ar. One ha ndle here do es have it's swinging section missing. This is on one of them tha t isn't used luckily. You don't notice it unless you look for it! T he cupboards at each side are large and have a drawer above with complimentary carving to their edges. There is a nod to the arts and crafts movement on the up per section. IThe dresser offers 3 long locking drawers. Dovetailed ends on the drawers, an additional 2 smaller drawers on top, 2 candlestand shelves, original period brass pulls. All the drawers have their locks intact but no key. The front of the dresser has beautiful incised floral and foliage carvings on the drawers and across the top of the swing mirror. This chest is good quality, solid, sturdy and would make a great addition to any Victorian Decor room. The Eastlake furniture style as envisioned by its namesake, Charles Lock Eastlake, came about in response to his dislike of the over-the-top Rococo and Renaissance Revival styles popular during the Victorian era. Up for consideration is a fine Swan Harped Quarter Cut Tiger Oak dresser. The dresser measures 75 1/4 inches high by 24 1/2 inches deep by 48 inches wide. The piece has all it's original hardware with brass bail handles.The highboy dresser measures 74 inches high by 24 inches deep by 36 inches wide. The mirror is fine condition. The piece has all it's original hardware with brass bail handles. Likewise the original beveled mirror. It is interesting to note that the dresser has an ultra clean back and interior of the drawers. The drawers have old newspaper for 1937. They are ultra clean with light signs of wear. The quartered oak graining can be seen in the pictures. Antique Dresser All Oak. White Marble Excellent Condition Beveled Mirrors Offered is a beautiful oak dresser or vanity. The outstanding feature is the white marble top and it is in mint condition. This is remarkable considering it's age. The dresser has 3 parts- the mirror assembly. The marble mid-section, and the oak base cabinet. The mirror is attached with 2 wooden rear slats which extend to the base cabinet& screws that hold it rigid. The marble rests on the base. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The buyer can take this dresser home& use it, guaranteed to have a major effect on a room when it comes to decorating. Guaranteed antique- not a reproduction. This will retain value- about 100 years old, perhaps more. DESCRIPTION: The dresser has a 3section mirrored top consisting of a frame with arching top ... moremolding with a carved horizontal over 1/4 round fluted side columns. The center miror is stationary with side mirrors that are hinged& swing out almost 180 degrees. All mirrors have wide bevels. Excellent silvering without blemishes. The marble section is white with a thin grey lines from the stone. It is not composit or manufactured stone. It is clean, no chips, no repairs. The mirror rests on the rear of the top shelf which is over a marble galleried backsplash and opposing side sections. The flat top surface is clean& smooth white marble, all marble is matching and original to the piece. The base cabinet has 2 pull out drawers over 2 swing out doors which open to a large interior with a center horizontal shelf. The base has 1/4 round fluted columns which match the mirror and a center vertical with carving and a burled oval decoration. The pulls are brass, the locks work, a key is provided. The dresser is clean inside, the drawers are not stained, there are no odors, was not stored in a damp location(it's in our house) the drawers slide easily, locks work, this is a nice piece of furniture. Fancy Oak& Chestnut Victorian Marble Top Dresser with Ornate Carved Wishbone Mirror circa 1880's Being offered for sale is this superb Victorian Fancy Oak& Chestnut highly carved marble top dresser that features a detailed. Very ornate carved wishbone mirror, fancy carved key escutcheons on the drawer fronts and the original wood pulls on the drawers with dove-tailed joinery on the drawer ends. This fine 19th century dresser measures 77 inches in height to the top of the carved crest on the mirror. Height to the marble at the front measures 33 3/4 inches, width measures 40 inches and depth front to back is 19 1/4 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 150 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 24 inches high by 12 3/4 inches wide. This dresser does dis-assemble into 4 separate pieces for easier handling during shipping ... moreand moving. This dresser is solid and tight and the mirror portion rests sturdy and straight. The framed mirror does pivot front to back to adjust viewing. All the locks are intact on the drawers except the top left, but we do not have the key. The original beveled edge marble top is in beautiful antique condition with no chips or cracks. The left side does show a bottom edge divot that you may be able to see if you zoom in on the left side picture of the dresser at the marble.definitely not a distraction but just wanted to point that out. Antique Tiger Oak Victorian Era c.1880 Round Shaving Mirror- On Tilting Frame- DESCRIPTION A handsome antique shaving mirror on tilting stand. Made entirely of solid tiger oak grained wood. The mirror frame, tilting arms, base and round ball feet all with beautiful graining visable. This one is from the late Victorian era circa 1880's. It's in original untouched condition, not refinished. It also retains the original mirror glass and backing for the round mirror. The round mirror frame is 1" wide and has a deep beveled edge. The two arms have knobs at the sides that can be loosened allowing you to tilt the framed mirror portion. Tightening the knob will then hold it in that fixed position. The arms have lovely turnings and are mortised through the wide shaped chamferred edge base. The base has four round ball feet. We've ... moreleft this as found. We have not polished or refinished the wood it is completly original. Shows good wear, but no splits or cracks or breaks in the wood. And we have not removed the original mirror glass from the frame. As expected with mirror glass of this age, it does show wear to the silvering. Of course, if you like, you could replace the mirror with contemporary mirror glass. We like it just the way it is. NO RESERVE… This auction is for an old. Early 1900s folding Dresser or Travel Mirror. I am pretty sure there used to be a 3rd Mirror attached, but now only the two. Each of the oak frames measure approx. 9 1/2 inch by about 7 1/2 inch. Both of the mirrors are the original beveled edge with no cracks. There are some marks on the mirrors coming thru the backside. I have a couple of close up photos to show examples of these marks. The frames are in nice condition with the original backings. The shipping( 4lbs. cost on this.
